Hi, i am new here, but couldnt find a place to post about naltrexone. i hope this is kinda close to the right place. ok real quick question. I took a 50mg naltexone last night. i believe it was 50 mg, but maybe .5mg or just 5mg. either way immediatley after taking it, my dad made me, i remembered i couldnt get high while its in my system. so i went upstairs and gagged myself a lot hoping it would come out, never saw it come out though. after that i sniffed a quick line of heroin and didnt really get high. i did a little bit more cause i was so pissed but realized it was a waste. i tried tooting a little more this morning and still nothing. when is the next time i will be able to get high/ feel the heroin? 24hrs, 2 days, never?? UGH, so annoying! thanks in advance for your help, and sorry again if this is on the worng place :)

For a 50mgs dose (the normal dose for maintenance) you will need 3 days to feel the heroin again, but after 48 hours you will feel something but only on the 4th day you are back to baseline.

When using 50mgs, after 24 hours you almost dont feel shit.. its a waste of good opiates.. I tried it sometimes until i quit and decided to stop wasting good dope.

umm i had gotten high prob 5 hrs before i took that pill. ummmm, no, no side effects or wd related symptoms. felt really depressed and tired all day at work today tho. i feel even more sad now tho cause i still cant get high tomorrow. so annoying. im optimistic for friday morning!

i talked to a random kroger pharmacist over the phone and she said it will only block it for 24hrs.. i had a hard time believing her, but thats what she claims.

Shes talking from reading the medical info that comes with the medication.. What she is saying is that 50mgs completly blocks the effects of heroin/opiates for only 24 hours, the completly makes the difference...

But after that time it stills takes about 4 to 5 days until baseline... by around the 24 to 48 hours you maybe feel like 15-35% of the opiate but not much more than that.. Only by day 3 you will feel more than 50-75% of the opiates.. and by day 4 or 5 your are back to baseline. If i were you i would wait until day 3 or 4 or even 5 if you can..


Even 10mgs blocks most of the effects of heroin for about 24 hours..

You should have had more wd symptoms from using naltrexone just 5 hours after a opiate agonist..unless your tolerance is very low.. is that? your recent tolerance is very low?

it could be that my tolerence is very low. i had 70 days clean from opiates prior to this.. prior to those 70 days, i was an active oxycontin user for over 2 years. so i dunno. fuck, a week is a really long time when u gotta fire dope bag burnin a hole in your pocket..

22. i wasnt really thinking. and fresh off a relapse and putting my family through hell again when they found out, i felt like i should comply with his wishes. i tried to put it under my tounge, but accidently swallowed it anyhow. oh well im about to try a little line @ the 36 hr mark and will let yall know. fingers crossed!!!!

unfortenally i got much experience with naltrexone and trying to overcome it.. But look at the good that comes with it.. if you dont use in these days you tolerance will be much more down than it was before and the naltrexone also lowers the tolerance so just wait and it will be better...

I know waiting sucks, but so does throwing away money on dope that you won't feel. If you can go 70 days without it, why can't you wait a week or so just to be sure you can get high? I am kicking right now just so I can save some money, and lower my tolerance. I mean maybe it's just me, but it sucks busting my ass all week at work to spend my whole paycheck in one night trying to get fucked up and not succeeding. I can kinda understand if you had to have it to be well, but you should be well past that point my friend. Just get some benzos and chill for a few days, get a hobby, whatever... Just not worth it to waste your cash on a hope and prayer that you might feel a small percentage of the effects. But, I have been wrong in the past, and might be now, that's just my feeble opinion.

I wish I had some of those pills just so I could force myself into saving some cash and hopefully lowering my tolerance at the same time.. I know I would be playing guitar (which is in the pawnshop) instead of replying to this shit right now....AAAARRRRGHGGGHGHHH!!!!!

Thats not normal..
It should be almost normal by now.. are you sure your parents arent spiking your drink or something like thaat?

But like i said you really shouldnt have been using opiates all this previous days trying to overcome the naltrexone effect like i said.. maybe it messed your tolerance by doing that.. maybe you are a naltrexone slow metabolizer and added to that fact you using opiates all days before..
