The urlogist gave me 35 more percs today
and if I run out I have the option of calling them and getting more.
My question is a friend on mine has some methadone and is sharing some of them with
me. If I took some percs and then some methadone will I still feel the
effects? I don't know a lot about methadone but I have heard that they
can block the effects of other opiates. I took 5 percs earlier and had
a pretty nice buzz going and I just took 3 5 mg methadose pills. Did I
waste the methadone? Also will this effect me if I wanted to take some
percs later on tonight or tomorrow?

Thanks guys.

All of this is hyptothetical and not to be considered real.

There are a number of threads on the site awnsering this question. You are correct, Methadone blocks opiates from working. The Methadone will overpower the percs you just took and remain active in your system for quite a while. I would at least wait 12-15 hours before taking anymore percs or you will definitley be wasting them.

Most of the threads I had read were related to long term methadone use. I only took 20 mg's total so i'll wait until tomorrow and hopefully everything will be ok. Thanks for your response.

Well, actually you are correct... the amount you took will just get you high for a short while, and will not block opiates at that level. I hesitate to recommend taking both together, because you probably won't need them. It could possibly even be too much and you might toss your breakfast to the wind.

I'd wait, but not because they'll block the effects... only because you'd be wasting them.

And remember:

Methadone is very powerful drug to use. One is risking ones life with it, if one plays with it; so, be careful. Really!!!
