The poll has been posted (in reference to this thread (http://forum.opiophile.org/showthread.php?t=2125)) and I can certainly remove names that would like to be. This poll will be open for ten days - votes are private and can be made for multiple individuals (as we'll probably need at least two mods.)

PS. Can we have a designated "chemistry mod?" Not anyone to give net recipes, for god's sake... just to ask general questions or to sorta oversee the dialogue regarding chemicals or interactions w/each other, things like that. Not medical interactions (that's Candy), per se, more chemically oriented. Would that be something others would be interested in, too? I just like reading and learning about that side on this site, but hard to know if I'm reading correct info or not.

Basically if people are expounding upon certain concepts, it should go without saying that they provide some sort of credentials or background which demonstrates obvious familiarity.

that's a game good point toes, if they allowed a noob like me to give points yet i'd be clicking away at that - everybody here has "experience cred" but it would be nice to know who is "the man/woman" that knows their shyte when it comes to chemistry to settle debates or answer questions.

cause last night me and about three other people were at 34% or something and now Karen's winning by a landslide even though she said she can't participate as a mod...and me and a few others have lost about 10 percentage points in the last ten hours...
I will state up front I SUCK at math...which is good cause I like to WRITE anyways...
maybe someone who understands percentages and calcs of this kind could offer a "splaination":p

hey peeps, I'm gettin a certain vibe from the above replies and it brings to mind that some folk's is more knowledgeable of certain subjects then others. such as i would ask karen630 about human body and medical nursing subjects and /or goto someone else about chemical know how and such. i mean who would want to be sheriff for most all of this thing of ours? i would love to be of help but i just don't have it in me and i find that being a mod is a fine art and takes a certain touch to delegate various subjects so as not to step on any ones toes or hurt their feelings boo-hoo.therefore i vote devils drug for Sargent at arms lol haha. lets take a list of all the various threads and groups and find qualified individuals to act as mods. that would keep their responsibilities to a minimum and not overburden our already busy lifes. just and already obvious question peace da/dawgg:cool:

Its a little hard to tell, but all I had to do was just click multiple boxes... you could just email bi11i and let him know what's going on... he's keeping track and I'm sure he can alter the poll or delete your vote and let you do it again...

I think Blackdog does have a point. If there is a way of finding out if someone is just nodddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd dddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd dddddddddddddddddddddddddddddding out at the keyboard and making it look like they have lots of online time when in actuality there head has just fallen off into nod-nod-land. I think PK would be a good mod for the site if he has the time. I think he has a good grip on what the site is all about and I have not personally noticed him stray from it. Plus the research and knowledge factor are huge pluses.

I would as well. it's not easy these days to find a chem forum with a vibe like opiophile. I think it doesn't much matter who is chosen, as any chem mod talking out his ass is certain to be challenged publicly..... Opiophlounder, lol
