OMG HELP

HEy guys....BIG prob....will codien3 help prevent WD over a 2 day perion....i was on Oxy b4 and swirhed to Morphine till go and see a new DR....my old DR got busted and went to jail...more on that later. I NEED ADVICE!!!! ASAP

With spelling like yours, i would say NO, it wont help prevent WD's

Yeah man 30mg's of codeine will help out somebody in oxy WD's.....................................if they were taking 1-2mg's of oxy..., we need to know how much Oxy/Morphine you take daily to even begin thinking about if something will help you out..

It'll help if you take enough. Depends on the dosage you were taking of course, but I reckon you'd feel at least a little better.

Codeine is an opiate so yes it will help, how much it will help depends on how much oxycodone you were taking and how much codeine you intend to take.

If you were being prescribed by a doctor, most likely you were taking a pretty good amount every single day to manage pain...so at this point I doubt codeine would help you...but nobody can tell you for sure.

No offense, but what is the point of this thread? Why are you asking us if it will work, instead of just trying it?

Well, it can't hurt (unless of course you have an allergy or bad reaction to codeine). No matter how bad your tolerance and dependence is, codeine should at the least make you feel a tiny bit better.

Well yeah...but it isn't going to be the magic cure to make WD's go away. I just wanted him to realize it's not going to be like taking more Oxy or anything...but it might help. Give it a shot...nobody here can tell you what is going to work for you.

When I was kicking from a 80-100 mg oxy a day habit, codeine made me feel a hell of a lot better. Even got a buzz out of it a couple of times ;)

If you plan on taking a LOT of the T3's, look up Cold Water Extraction and perform one on your pills. Helps the liver... live.

Also, keep in mind that codeine has a ceiling effect (can't remember the mg, I'm sure a search will yeild an answer)... in other words, after a certain amount it will not produce any results and just be a waste. Sorry if ya already knew all this already. Take care and hope you get through this alright, man!!

E is right! You would be suprised how much better codeine will make you feel. I was kicking from a 150-200mg a day Oxycodone habit and I used a combination of codeine and tramadol and avoided any type of major sickness. Worst symptom I had was boredom and some chills.

Get pill-poppin man! And if you're too sick, you don't really need a CWE. You won't be able to enjoy much more then 10 of them, before hitting the limit of how much codeine your liver can process, so you'll still be under the limit as for APAP.

Personally, I've always found that 200-230mg or so is perfect. If I get too close to 300, it becomes pretty unpleasant with the pins and needles.

If you're in Orlando, I think I know what Dr. you're talking about. About the t-3s, this is good to know cause I got a full bottle of them here too & kinda thought they were worthless. I heard the ceiling for codine is 300mg, after that severe nausea can occur as well. Actually, oxy & hydro were created in part as an alternative to codine because of all the complaints of severe nausea. Are you tapering off oxy or morphine? I thought you said you went from oxy to morphine. If so, the t-3s should work even better since morphine tends to be weaker than oxy. Good luck & I hope the w/d is not too bad.

I woulda ate them codeine a *long* time ago....1st morning I woke up without dope...this thread is getting silly: as if any self-respecting junky in withdrawals would be holding onto codeine until he checked in w/Opy ... haha...
