I don't know if there are any other Coheed & Cambria fans here, but if you like them you should check out this new DVD they just came out with. It's called "Neverender" (named after one of the songs from their 1st album, Second Stage Turbine Blade) and basically they went to NYC/Chicago/LA/London and played in each city for 4 nights in a row, each night playing 1 of their 4 studio albums in straight sequential order.

It is really awesome to see them play all this shit live, especially since the music is very technically demanding and hard to play (they also haven't played most of these songs before live EVER)

You can check out clips of the show here on YouTube (click to view them in HQ video for better sound and picture)

Here are some awesome songs (in my opinion anyway, I personally love their progressive/metal/"emo" (for lack of a better term) influences) They have a really great sound that is unique to them and them alone. Not to mention the lead singer Claudio's incredible voice and the fact that all the band members are fucking RIDICULOUS at their instruments.

Hope you guys enjoy, or that you can be turned on to a new band you might end up liking. These videos do a good job at showing just how incredible they are to see in concert.

Much love,

I've seen them play 3 times and was always impressed with their live shows. The low end bass really came through live and sounded like rumbling thunder at times. I like technical bands like that who aren't math metal but at the same time can breakdown and make tempo changes etc etc... I haven't seen the DVD although I'm sure it is great.

oh yeah AsS I Lay Dying that is some great music too!!!!

im also a coheed fan, and as i lay dying fan.

this coheed dvd concept is really neat actually. you never get to see a band play their album in order in concert. and you especially never have concert footage of them playing every song on every album. im going to have to get this.

heres a torrent file with video and mp3's of each song from each night. i think it works, but dont hold me responsible, i just found it. http://torrentportal.com/download/4103784/Neverender+-+Children+of+the+Fence+Edition.torrent

Speaking of As I Lay Dying, has anybody listened to his solo side project, Austrian Death Machine? It's a funny ass cd but the music is pretty good too.

I just checked them out on myspace that animated dude reminds me on Tim Lambesis: totally ripped giant muscles metal guy look. A lot of people are surprised when they find out that As I Lay Dying are a christian band and what I like about As I Lay Dying is the lyrics don't feel "preachy" and are more self empowering if anything. I wonder which record of theirs would be considered a fan favorite?

yo my friend they have commented on this issue a few times.... they are a band of christians.... not a christian band and i for sure think theres a difference....

austrian death machine is really really sick

Tim played every single instrument on the album...

i know there is a colt following of AS I LAY DYING fans who like Shawdows are Security more than An Ocean Between Us... i love there newest but i still think shadows is better...

morning waits and through struggle are my favorite songs....

but 94 hours and forever will always be in my heart because those songs are what made me fall in love with them....
