I know from reading mostof you all threads that you all or most are against Serequel.WellI was too I mean it left me with a next day mettalic feeling in my month .I had trouble waking up which I already do have a problem doing, but this week just for the hell of it(well I've been having serious sleeping problems),I decided to pop 1 of my 100 milligrams not the 400 milligrams my DR wants me to take.If I did take 400 milligrams I'd be vomiting,falling ,I mean once my daughter had a pail next to the toilet and instead of sitting on the toilet to pee after taking only 200 milligrams I ended up sitting on the pail which was on the floor ,I then busted my head up op the sink while I was getting up and could bearly walk back to bed,my judging of distance was totally off,but that was then this is now.Twice this week i have taken 100 milligrams of the drug serequel.Now not only have I got an excellent nights sleep the past couple nights but I've also been nodding off my morphine. I mean nods,the ones I used to get when I first started morphine or doing dilaudids,which I did quite a few a day,I used to use Soma once oin a while as I have heard some of you mention an uncrease in the opiate effects but damn.I wasn't prepared for this.It's great bringing back some kick ass old memories.Now the side effects of Serequel are not good plus they can cause a whole lot of other problems but so can almost every other drug we mess around with.In the meantime I am enjoying this new found combo.Serequel will definately make you gain weight so I've been taking daily doses of water pills(prescibed) to make me pee more and also womans Correctol.Its a gentle laxative so I don't shit outta my mouth,I've been so worried about that since I read Jacky's post I searched up last week that I'm determined that ain't gonna happen to me,so anyways I just thought I'd add this as something you may or may not want to try .I know many of you are stronglyAnti-serequel and I was too till I've had my nodding experiences come back.Damn I n evedr realized how much I missed them.I'll do a morph and then a couple hours later b-4 I go to bed I'll pop a 100 milligrams of Serequel and cozy up witha great true crime book as those are all I read and my hubby said my book hit me in the face 3-4 times each night I had done this while I was fighting the nods which by the way Hands Down won the battle.Just MHO!

I'm prlly not the most qualified person to make this statement, but the combo of seroquel and morphine seems pretty dangerous. Everytime I've taken seroquel it's lights out, party's over. Similar to the phenobarbital feel for me. Not my style, but then again i don't have sleep problems.

I know that alot of people are going to feel this way and ightfully so ,I mean if i took the 400 milligrams nightly prescibed I think I would overdose purely on the serequel nothing to do w/the morphine but thats why I've come up with a dose that works for me and works in a helluva great way.I don't want anyone who has had dangerous side effects w Serequel to even try this cuz I'd feel to blame,I've just found something that works great for me and I only have to dose with 100 milligrams of serequel every other day to get these effects.Some who already are prescribed Serequel may find it a nice combo but you are right it can be dangerous if done without taking precautions.

I doubt you would OD on 400 mgs per day; my doc said (when she gave it to me to help with sleep) people are placed on 700-800 mgs... but the combo of opies and this are probably no less (or more) dangerous than mixing any CNS depressants with opies. . .

My objection to it is more along the lines of how it reacts in the body, and the fact that it might actually lessen the effects of opiates... that's not a professional opinion, just one I gathered from reading...

well when you only have 40% of a liver yeah I think it might kill me when 200 milligrams makes me unable to walk or stay awake but thats only my opinion because of my liver HOM.If you have a great liver then I'm sure the effects are different.

Wow, I guess it'd be a little different for me too. I don't really have the healthiest liver in the world, either, but I don't know how much percentage-wise it is functioning with. I hope your liver doesn't hear you say you're taking it just for the hell of it... :o) j/k

By the way, every now and then if I'm in really bad need for sleep, I will just break a 100 into quarters and just take 25mg. You'd be surprised how much even that small of an amount will do... maybe try that since its so hard on you...

Yeah thanks HOM I mean I sc rewed my liver up b-4 i was even legal drinking age but the Hep B and C my ex-boyfriend shared w/ me is what mostly caused it.I haven't drank for 12 years so its not the drinking its the Hep that killed me,although my DR did tell me 2 more years of drinking would almost guarantee death as my liver is sol messed up.I wish my liver worked like this for other drugs such as morphine,kadiens etc.I noticed Soma gives me a huge kick cuz of my Liver but thats another thread,Take Care!
