Anyone ever tried Charas?

Charas is when you place a half a key/1kg of hash wrapped tightly inside a freshly slaughtered sheepskin....You then bury the hash/sheepskin tightly wrapped in a hole 1mtr deep.. Obviously fillin da hole in ...

.At the bottom of da hole you have a pot to collect the oil from the hash/sheepskin , as it slowly drips into the pot, as the lanolin etc with the heat turns the hash into a liquid .....

This is meant to be one of the most potent way of ensuring a radio rental (mental)smoke....And comin dis summer i am definately givin it a go....

Just wondering if any of our esteemed puffers here have ever tried it and can give me any advice?

Hey raz. I spent 5 months in india a couple years ago. My homegirl and I traveled into parvati valley. I had never heard of charas but we were given some there...and later bought a small amount. The charas that we smoked came from a man rubbing his hans thru the flowers very slowly..it collected on his palms and by the end of the day he had a good sized ball of it. I've never heard of it being burried or wrapped in sheep skin..although it sounds tastey.

never even heard of it until last week- my friend told me about an experience years ago, he is a big time hash/smoker and said it was best he ever had- until you wrote this i didn't know what he was talking bout, i just nodded along:p

nah but the process i read about it coming from was way more along the lines of what the fella with the mcgowan av said, the sheepskin thing and kilo of hash sound like a huge pain in the ass, not to mention the risk of mold or some shit ruining yer dope.

I am under the impression that charas sometimes contains datura seeds in the mixture. which could make for a more potent smoke, and possibly even lethal if consumed orally.

Sounds kind of like Butane Honey Oil (B.H.O-which is VERY nice) except done naturaly w/o chemicals.The only thing I'd worry about is mold like mentioned above.

Xaras altought potent are at most 50 or 60% hashish, the rest is powdery sweat and god knows what from the hands of the ones that makes them..

Xaras are made by rubbing the still live cannabis plant with their hands to collect the resin then from the hands..

But they are made mostly are north of india, and as you know theres no toilet paper in the northern montains so their hands must be real clean...

But its good hash, but not the best taster, it tastes likes toasted sardines..


Thats reall xaras... what raz is talking about is a complex curing process for hash..

I'm specifically gonna try dis sheepskin ting......I know how to do the honey oil stuff wiv da butune...Dis way sounds a bit more excotic....I'm just havin my 1st real harvest and its ok...

I thought charas was just what they called hashish in India. would love to travel to India to try some of their bhang and opium cookies. I know if I had that much hash I wouldn't be sticking it in sheepskin and burying it...

Yeah, Raz, I say go for it man. I was just fuckin around with my last comment about the PVC and Butane.

The only MAJOR problem with this is that you can't SHARE WITH THE REST OF US WHEN IT'S DONE.:(:(:(

Personally I think you are taking a great risk of ruining that a good sized amount of hash with that method. But if its worth the pay off, and maybe the learning experience, then go for it. Anything for the knowledge right? Also the butane method is mainly useful for getting the extra THC out of leftover foliage that is too harsh to smoke. And if you do deceide to play around with it, be very careful, IT IS VERY DANGEROUS. Your are basically making a pipe bomb, make sure their is adequate ventilation (go outside if possible) and no partaking in smoking any where near that sucker. I had a friend with no access to PVC and used a pringles can instead, when the metal rim of the can, touched the metal table, a static shock was produced, with explosion giving him 3rd degree burns all th way up his arm. But if done right, I can definetly say it is well worth the risk. Also to make the goop more pliable gather it on wax paper on top of a cookie sheet, then put that in the freezer(after letting ALL the butane evaporate) Sorry to rant!!!

Spain and here has some good hash, and some bad hash too. But the proximity to Morroco makes good cannabis more easy available if you got the cash.. good hash is expensive and shitty hash is very cheap..

No need for more processing.. and the taste from good morroco hash is pretty good, no butane or iso can compare its taste to some good taste morrocan.

You cant make bubble hash from hash... You need herbal cannabis for that, unpressed herbal cannabis..

And.. charas is no extraction... charas is the hash thats made in north india and nepal, its different because its made by rubbing their hands on live plants and then scrape the resin from their hands and roll it into balls.. Lots of bacteria, sweat and possible shit because they dont clean their asses with paper but with their hands.. Been there, seen that..

It's only dumb if you're dumb and careless with it. BHO is very easy to make and far more potent than hash, it has zero plant matter in it, you really can't get anything purer..

I like good hash, love the flavor but it doesn't compare in potency to honey oil, and it's probably 2k fewer chemicals to inhale..
