swollen area???????????

i injected in a vein in my hand and soon after i have a swollen are around the site and a smaller spot like 2 inches further down the vein is this bad? what should i do?

You should be okay. Put a warm compress on it and it will help to reduce the swelling.

if its a missed shot you need to get it to work into the muscle tissues otherwise it will turn into an abcess.not good...good luck

seems to be doing ok today still a little puffy and a little sore now that i can feel it. thanks for the advice.

yeah this bhas happened to me many times although I've never had an abcess on my hand shit that would make a painful experience oh so much more painful,but I also find heat compreses help ALOT and then when I go to bed I loosely wrap an ACE bandage around my hand and this helps a bunch.If you wrap it too tight your hand will have a heartbeat of its own and damn thats uncomfortable as hell,but just the other day I ran into the same problem and used heat compresses like candy suggested heat a Ziploc bag and wrap with a towel (not too hot now),and the Ace bandage part I made up myself,this was after I had missed a lil shooting in the Dark w/ a flashlight as was suggested in an earlier post.It worked excellent at first but of too much of anything is never good so I was bound to mess up a good thing,but oh well you gotta pay to play right?
