it's one of my favorites. I bought it in 89 and still have the same VHS. Matt Dillion is just so hot in it.

Very cool. :)
Big ups Rent.
IFC fuckin' rules!! Great channel.
I can't understand why some people have to pay for it like it's HBO or something....
Their cable companies are ripping them off.

I will have to agree also about Matt - I had to pay almost a grand in VT for doing over 100mph - Dillon.
What do you think of him in Little Darlings?

Not sure if it was his 1st movie but he was young, long-ish hair, played the role of a head perfect, even had the boots.
Tatum O'Neal, Kristy McNichol.
It was very much like chineses food - taste good but is like air; you are still hungry after and it goes right through ya. :p
No substance.

Little Darllings, wasn't that with Kristy McNichol? I had a huge crush on that chick as a teenager.. I hadn't thought about that flick in eons and never would have remembered the name..

DSC is great - Gus Van Sant is one of my top 5 producers/directors.. I love the hints of surrealism and the minor retouches he sometimes uses in his movies, DSC, My Own Private Idaho, Last Days.. Great flicks, among many others..

Have you (or anyone) seen Paranoid Park by Gus van Sant? I love all of his other ones (especially Elephant) but Paranoid Park looks weird or something, I dunno.

Well for those of you who can't wait, and know how to use torrents I uploaded the torrent file to my personal blog.

(If this is against the rules then please take it down....)

http://jonnymohawk.net/DrugstoreCowboy.torrent

THIS ISNT THE THE MOVIE, its a torrent file used to acquire the movie.

If you want to know how to use bit torrent, I actually made a video tutorial a while back that should explain to even the most computer illiterate of people :D

(go easy on me it was one of my first tutorials)

trainspotting just wasn't that good of a movie
just because it's about dope doesn't make it good ya know
accourse, it doesn't make it bad either

i like requiem for a dream, don't give a fuck that its unrealistic
it's a movie and if ya wanna keep it real look out ya door, movies are supposed to be fantasies

I started but I just could not handle the dialogue having the accent written in so strongly. Took forever. Gave up.

oh, i loved the book. it's not too bad. you just have to get used to it. when i read it, i like said what i was reading in my head. it made it a lot easier to understand.

it's like a clockwork orange. that was a bitch to read, too, but still, excellent book.

I really like the actress Kelly Macdonald from Trainspotting... I saw her in a new movie called Choke (which is also a good movie based on the same author who wrote Fight CLub) and the entire time kept trying to put my finger on where I knew her from.

Someone told me that Kelly Macdonald was underage when she filmed the movie Trainspotting - does anybody know whether or not that is true????

Different strokes fo sho, but requiem was one of the worst drug movies I ever saw. I thought it was terrible.

If you guys want a great drug movie, rent: Salton Sea with Val Kilmer.... About speed, but it's fantastic.

Shelley,I'm gonna freak you right out and AGREE with you, just because a movie is about dope does not make it any good.In fact,I'll go further and say that most films featuring dope are dire.

I'm more interested in movies that are good to watch whilst high, rather than movies about getting high.

Hell yeah, loved Choke, funny movie.
I picked up on who she was; it was hard not to here a thick Scottish accent w/ everything she said. It was like something was missing.

In the beginning of the movie when he was talking about how the mind is a blank and it's bliss as you cum and the strive for that feeling all the time - it's drug abuse - it's the same as us. I loved that. I just wish it touched more on that, but it's hard to have a comedy and dwell deep addicted at the same time.

oh my god! you.... agree? with me?
but yeah, i'd rather watch spongebob squarepants when i'm high
than ben stiller (or whoever) shooting dope in a bathroom

it's drug abuse

Doesn't have to be drugs; can be sex or music or dancing or surfing or flying or diving or sitting quietly on the freeway median or in the middle of the Sahara..

Buddhists refer to it as Kensho or Satori - it's basically just existing without your mind getting in the way with shit like grocery lists and past-due bills and Monday mornings..

First experienced for me at about 15 on a motocross track, where everything was timed and synched to perfection with tons of practice, and I didn't have to think, just act.. Perfection in the moment.. I'll spend the rest of my life chasing it..
