I'm always up for meeting new people in my town, especially people with such similar interests. Buncha junkies just hangin out in centennial park or somethin? I'm down if anyone wants to have a little "get-together." Theres some people at P.org that are helping me plan also. Float me a PM or jsut reply in this thread.

Why is "getting together" in quotes? It's not like you can nudge nudge wink wink your way around the rules. This isn't heroinforsale.com.

Those of us who hang around here a lot enjoy being able to come here and talk about what we know and love. To some it is almost like going to church. We like to talk about new methods, old news, and harm reduction bullshit to feel like we're helping.
I will be very pissed if this site gets heat, or any of its members, because of all the newbies showing up and breaking the rules immediately. If you have something to contribute or legitimate questions (that aren't totally obvious with one search) then welcome. If you come here to find dope or a middle-man, fuck off.
Don't get me wrong... I don't run this place or have any authority what so ever. I'm just an interested party. But this opinion appears to be in the majority around here.

I'll second that opinion. Six up. I don't think most peeps on here were born yesterday. Do the points really need to be in place or do the assholes stand out on there own? I never really see them get past anybody on here....lol

My apologies, I didn't know that wanting to meet new people was against the forum rules.
Nashville is next to Tucson? I guess SOMEONE failed their Geography class. I apologize for infringing upon your self-centered social club. I just joined today which obviously makes me a degenerate, I know how the whole "forum" communities work.

It was just a poor "request" on your part. It should go without saying, but too "risky" for any "takers" taking you up on "your" offer and definitely risky for yourself if you are "legit." Sorry if you didn't catch the "intended" sarcasm on the location of Nashville in regards to Tucson or Mobile. <cough cough> <wink wink>
And yes the quotes were definitely poorly "planned." Think before you type.

It's not like I'd try to kidnap anyone. :) I'm also not trying to score drugs, why would I do that online anyways?
I dunno, I figured this place would be fun. The Forums are ultra-extensive, and alot livlier than all the 40 year olds over at porg. (although they rule too in an equally interesting way).

Just bustin balls man. I'm fairly new on here myself, but it seems like if this is a place you feel comfortable with, it's way easier to go through the threads for whatever information you're after and also kind of learn the flow and how the other people interact with eachother before hopping in and going against the intended purpose of this site. This site is definitely unique and IMHO has a very good thing going. So if you do come in and go against the grain right off the bat, then you'll definitely hear about it. Some new insight or anything you can add to the community that's positive would prlly be appreciated by the other members. Just my 2 cents.

No, you just happened to come at a time when we have had LOTS of folks asking for 'help' and your post seemed at first glance to be one in the same.
We do like newbies, we just like to hassle some of them (but it builds unity...) and soon it will be your turn. After you've been here for a while (please do stay and contribute; everyone has something to offer) you will get the drift and who knows, maybe you'll have your own newbie to hassle one day...
No seriously, just bad timing. Stick it out and you'll be glad you did.

I still think this way of welcoming 'newbies' who are brave enough to speak is unfair and resembles some sort of initiation ceremony! I agree though that Fronteer psychiatrist initially asked an inappropriate question and as such deserved a gentle reminder of the rules, but once was enough we didn't all need to jump on the badwagon!
HOWEVER as an oldie I do resent the implication by FS that the over 40's are past it!!!! I am 37 (approaching 40 fast !)now but even when I was younger I always had due respect for age and wisdom, especially in relation to the use of drugs.

I figured I'd bring a stolen car, lots of cash, a couple of minorities, lots of drugs, some fully automatic weapons (stolen of course), some minors, and the drug paraphenalia. Might as well have some illegal aliens in the trunk too. How's 6:00 sound to everybody? We will all be high on PCP just to be sure we're ready to party.
Alright enough of the sarcasm. I would just like to see this community around for a long time, and also see everybody stay safe. Follow the rules and we should all be okay. Whatever people do on their own time away from the site is their business, but while they're here they should respect the rules and the people who have worked hard to make this an outstanding community. This site truly provides a service to current addicts, pain sufferers, opiate naive people, recovering addicts, researchers, people trying to understand their scripts, etc. Ignorance can be a dangerous thing when it comes to this subject. You can try to understand or learn about the subject of opiates and/or addiction all you want using textbooks and such, or talk to people who have lived it. Which information is going to be the most accurate? I'll take the wisdom or experience of somebody who's been down that path any day over a text book or some useless gov't propaganda. The first time I went to this site I was wondering what kind of people were going to be here, because I am ignorant to this subject. Turns out this happens to be the best forum I have ever come across for entertainment purposes, debating purposes, or just information on these subjects. Yeah, I got sucked in too. I say keep up the good work kids and newbies, FOLLOW THE RULES!

Agreed Poppy! I am probably out of place, considering I haven't been around here all that long myself. That's why I came back and let him know I was just busting balls. That is probably not my place to do so. I'm usually pretty quiet on here, but this particular thread set me off for one reason or another. It's out of my system after this post.

Whoever suggested bringing bail money gets to ride shotgun to that party with Shaunclo....:drinkit:
Shit.....I need more friends like Caesee. All my motha fuckin friends are broke and have never been able to bail me outta jail. Whahts the point anyway, once you get thru the loop, might as well just stick it out. Ive had many offers to get bailed out, but declined because I knew if I had to go back I would have to do the fuckin loop again, and for anyone who has ever been locked up, you know the loop is the worst fuckin part.

Like WC said, the thread is over a year old. And you can't leave an email on the open board. You make yourself seem like all you want is a hookup–which is against the site rules.
