kratom problems

I have just started to get into the whole ethnobotanical thing and from a week or so of reading forums the best one is kratom. So I said what the hell why not try it so I ordered 1oz of "Premium Commercial Kratom" from Ilumina Botanicals. I got it yesterday and brewed up a batch of tea with about a 1/2 oz(14 grams) and drank it, nothing. Did I get a bad batch? Am I getting the wrong stuff? Using too little? I mean from everything that I had read it shoud have blown my socks off but it did absolutly nothing to me. Looking for help here guys. Good sources, tips on dose or prep. Also on a rather different subject what other ethnos would you recomend for a person just getting started with them. Again any help appreciated.

PS. Not sure if anybody has noticed but I have posted like 3 different messeges in 3 different forums in less then a couple hours. Just to explain as to not seem odd or something bad, I just discovered opiophile.com and have finally found a place to get help with my problems and questions. Just wanted to let all know.

Please read and research, this (like your other post) has been asked and answered. Your method must be flawed, or maybe you have the special gene that makes kratom sober you up instead of getting you high. That's not good, you should see a doctor.
