Okay, I swear I searched before I decided to post. Don't want my newbie ass getting chewed up unnecessarily... lol First question, is there a market for Soma?? I have read some posts on combining Soma with other meds, so that caught my interest. I was prescribed it a year ago, during a very bad flare up of pain, and was told it would be a temporary solution due to the rebound effect. But after my doctor saw the immense relief I got from it, she just started writing up refill after refill. I usually stick to taking it just at night so that I can sleep but I have found that it helps reduce the intensity of any WD symptoms. Has anyone been on Soma for pain for more than a year? Did you experience any increase in your pain?

I can't take Soma, the carisoprodol/meprobamate is just too toxic in my system and I wake up feeling even shittier than usual the next morning. Flexeril isn't much better, but I seem to notice less of a nasty "zonked" aspect to the effects of the latter. Wish I could give you more useful information for you particular situation, but I can't take it more than once in a long while because of how toxic I feel when I do. Only when my back is so locked up in spasm that I can't stand it and I don't think Flexeril or Valium will do the job, do I give in.

I was rx'd soma for about 2 years total. I used to take about 5-6 somas 30-60 mintues after taking some hydro or oxy so the both hit about the same time, it is a very nice high togeather. They work great for wds they are one of the only things that will help me sleep during the wds. For me the soma WDS were worse then opaite wds for me..i could not sleep at all for over 6 days, even with swallowing hugs amounts of valium, and or xanax...my musles were spasming it was a horrible experince, I had no idea that you get wds from soma. Anyway I only take them occasionly now, or for wds not even close to daily, or even weekly.

If I took 5-6 somas I'd be dead to the world. If I take two, I'll nod off no matter where I am or what I'm doing. I thought I read somewhere that opiates increase the effect of Soma but the Soma decreases the effect of the opiate. Too wired to go search for that info now but that's why I haven't combined the pills. God forbid I lessen the effect of the painkiller! lol :p

Flexeril was what I was originally prescribed. I hated it. I couldn't take it during the day at all unless I was going to be able to nap for a few hours. And I'd wake up with a foggy hangover. Then I was switched to Skelaxin which didn't a damn thing. I like the Soma but it's very unpredictable. It hits fast, and sometimes it just makes me go crosseyed. Other times I get that warm blissed out feeling. But I am just as likely to fall asleep or not feel anything at all. It's always an adventure I guess.

You are asking if there's a black market for soma? This I assume (I know bad news) because there's obviously a market in the medical industry...
Yes, I've seen 'em sell (and bought them... no wait that was SWIM my fault). But they're pretty cheap. SWIM used to enjoy them with a zannie and a watson.
MMmmm...

First, 5-6 soma is very little, once you've been taking them for a while. They build tollerance VERY fast.
Second, I take soma everyday, and it only makes pain meds better; never detracts. I also take my pain meds, wait 20-30 minutes and take the soma, so they all hit at the same time. Beutifull!
Good luck and be safe. As for a street value, it's VERY low. I would say 1-2 bux a pill tops, and you can still get them online easily.
BTW, this has all been covered here. Try searching for just "soma" and you'll even find some posts by me; just like this one. :p

I love my somas there the only thing that helps me while withdrawing. They even work better then my suboxones which are made for w.d's.I love Soma one day someone sold me 6 and told me they were percocets and most of the time 99% of the time I will identify the pill b-4 I take it but this 1 time I did not.I popped all 6 at once and by the time my husband walked to the store and back (about 25 minutes),I was sitting at the computr w/ my hand under the mousepad moving it back and forth and slightly drooling he said and then he laid me on the couch and watched over me to make sure I kept breathing. Now I have Chirosis of the Liver and 60% of my liver is gone,so that would explain why they hit me so hard, but since that day i have a script for 3 a dayh for back pain,I don't find it works for pain but that when tooken w/ a good strong opiate it gives you a great buzz I only take 2 when taking w/ an opiate as I don't want to sleep through my buzz.
