View Full Version : PLEASE HELP!!! Pre-Dee/ToX IDEAS???

I am getting ready to D/T a pretty ridiculous habit, utilizing 3 8mg Subbies and approximately 30 50mg Tramadol. I am going to perform a llloooonnnngggg 16-20 day taper with the Subs. I plan on using the Subs IV, starting with 2-1.5 millies at a pop, then work my way down from there. Once the Subbies are gone I am going to SPARINGLY utilize the Trams to deal with whatever D/T symptoms are left over. Mainly the sleep issue.

The question/s I have/are "What natural things can I use/do to help make this as painless and easy as possible? What things have you done that are PROVEN through personall experience that you would recommend?"

I am trying to clean my diet up by eating more fruits and veggies, a daily breakfast, and eating more natural healthy foods. I am trying to get myself on a normal sleeping pattern. I have gotten my pad in order, I love my crib so I will be comfortable. I am self employed so my job isn't too strenuous, actually, it's pretty fucking enjoyable, so that won't be an issue.

ANY OPIate/OID (Kratom/Pod Tea) or Prescription med is out of the question. I am not interested in going about this that route. I really am not interested in any OTC shit either since I'm up on all of the Benadryls and Immodiums.

Teas and suppliments are the route that I am trying to go if there are any out there.

In responding to this post, should anyone be so kind as to share their knowledge with me could you please provide specific info or situations where whatever you are suggesting has helped you out.

I know this is alot for a newb to be asking. I have GOOGLED everything on the subject of D/Ting years ago, and read a bunch of shit, I am more interested in first hand experience.

This isn't my first kick by any means and I have been at this a looonngggg time. I am attempting to get my health back as I take the positive step of becoming NON-dependant on opiates.

good luck! I'll tell a few herbs I've used while kicking. However, just realize alot of times it takes a while for herbs to *really* help..so you might want to research and begin taking them now..or at least a little while before you start kicking. I've detoxed using herbs..mostly it helped more in the long run because I came out of it feeling better than without the herbs..HOWEVER..I never have noticed a *huge* difference..cold turkey is cold turkey. When your putting powerful drugs into your body a few leaves and extracts hardly makes a difference..but every body is different..and you may have more luck and better results than I did. Lets us know how it goes. Oh on a side note..if you have a chinese herb store around..depending on how big a city you live in..go in and ask for herbs dealng with diff aspects of withdrawal. Chinese herbs are very helpful..my post is already getting long..but I'd be glad to give you a few pointers on that as well..

For anxiety Kava Kava & valerian root work well for me.

For leg & muscle pain rub warm clove oil on calves..and drink licorice root tea (also helps with fever and cold chills) potassium caps took my leg pain away in less than an hour!! for reals.

For Nausea peppermint tea AND ginger helps ALOT!!!!

For sleep Chamomile, valerian root, passionflower.. and MELATONIN.


Like I said..I've used all these herbs during detox but I think I would have been better off had I started taking some of them a few days before..like the valerian root & kava kava. Don't forget that HOT baths will do a world of good.

^^^good ones PH. also lobelia for anxiety and sleep as well. also check for interactions if your taking any meds or mixing herbs. for example dont take passionflower if you taking any ssri's(anti-depressants). ive had reiki while w/ding and this was VERY helpful; calmed that feeling of electric eels under the skin.

+1 @ reiki..acupuncter can help ALot too. I did the acu-ear-detox. It cut back on the cold sweats..anxiety..and muscle pain..however i did notice my dreams were wildly inappropriate..which usely happens if I sleep at all..but something about acupuncter that really freaked it up a notch ;)

You should get longer acting results if you just take the subs the way they are supposed to be taken. That is what you want, the bupe to build up in your body, although you don't have much, I'd want that shit to last as long as I could get it.

Yeah, CT is CT, there is no magic panacea that will make all the stuff better, you can take the edge off, but you will have to ride it out alone.

My thoughts exactly. There is no *magic cure*.

Best bet is mental preparation. In my experiences, that goes a lot further than meds, remedies or whatever else you think will make it easier.

I wouldnt IV the subs like alowishus said .you obviously want to get the max out of them and still using the spike is holding on to a part of the habit.its just gona be depressing when you push down and pretty much feel nothing.good luck tho man my habit wasnt that crazy only about half gram a day but i used 12mg suboxone,xanax,valium and asprin and compared to other kicks was almost painless besides the sleep thing.1 day at a time

Okay. I plan on starting my "normalizing" of the routine a couple of weeks before I start my taper. So, I started drinking the chamomile tea before I go to sleep and taking some 5htp in the morning to even out my schedule.
I'm gonna score some Kava Kava and Valarian Root and see what that does. I am checking in on the Reiki, trying to figure out where I can get it around my way.

I am totally mentally prepped and I just wanted to see if I could do anything else that would make this any easier. This is probably my 5th or so total D/T, including two hellish jail kicks, so I fully know what to expect. I'm hoping that whatever positive benefits I get from whatever herbal supplements I use I can carry over to my everyday routine.

I don't plan on staying clean after this, I just have to get this one under my belt for a couple of reasons. I chipped pretty successfully for about the past year before I got out of control. I knew I was getting out there, but I said, "Fuck It", and decided to go crazy for a couple of months and deal with the D/T when I need to.
