How do you Vicodin heads do it?

All you crazy Vike heads out there, who love doing Hydrocodones of all assorted flavors, how the fuck do you guys manage to take like 80+ mg a day? Even at the highest dose they make it's 8 pills, and the pills are giant horse pills. I know one time I was getting dopesick and at the time I was away from home and only had like 25 Norco 10/325s on me, and a bottle of water. It was so horrible with my empty stomach having to try and suck down like 10 of these huge ass nasty, chalky & bitter biscuit sized tablets that it was unbearable and I threw up water and gagged several times. I know that there are certainly people out there (and on this very forum) who don't do CWEs every time they get down, so how do you guys manage this?

Sadly I'm beyond vicodin now due to my ultra high tolerance, but I remember popping 2 or 3 norco 10/500 and getting nice and buzzed. Oh do I wish some scientists would find a way to stop tolerance. I dont know what someone meant about "horse pills" but those little oval blue watson 540 footballs I was getting from the online rops before the turds raided my only source of happiness were not "huge".

Yep I remember popping 6 at a time in my mouth when I was at my brothers house and I went HMMM to him and pointed at my full mouth and when he said, what you got in your mouth? then he suddenly went YUUUCCKK, oh god how can you swallow that many watson's at once? I said easy, glug glug glug and I was feeling REAL good 20 mins later, then I started getting the pukes once in a while and I never did the cwe because I felt it wasted too much of the good stuff.

Finally, sadly at the beginning of 2005 my tolerance was so high, that I had to take 8 norco 10/500 at once to get the same buzz as I used to get from 2. I'd swallow 6 and then swallow the last 2 right away.
I finally couldn't afford my habit anymore or handle the horrible wd's and wound up in rehab in feb of 05 after going through 240 10/500's in only a week. I figured it was the last fling before hell sets in.

Then I was on suboxone which I loved, it made me almost like a vicodin buzz, then sadly that started wearing off and I started relapsing, that was until my sub doc put me on 3 8mg subs daily, I could never get high off vicodin then.

When subs were not getting me any buzz at all anymore even if I crushed up 5 at once in my mouth and held the saliva for 10 mins and swallowed. I went to methadone in Aug of 06 and felt REAL good once again for a few months. But yea I was a bigtime vicodin head and that's where I came up with my handle "opiobsessed". Because I will always be on opiates in some form till I die. I keep hopeing that Obama will not only stop the war in Iraq but for God's sakes Obama its been over a long time coming, at least stop the idiotic "war on drugs".

By the way Phish fans, did you read about the 1.5 million in drugs and money and innocent fun seeking fans got arrested, all because of the bullcrap? SAd SAD, very bad.

This wasn't with Vicodin, but with something else-- slightly smaller pills, but I can identify with where stinkypickle says something like: "nothing to it... Just a little bit of conditioning is all."

Yeah, I was on the dozens-of-pills/day (not vicodin, thankfully-- no apap!) regimen exclusively for a couple years-- subsequent to having first already had an iv habit for a few years, and I have to say that, just, you know, out of necessity, I went very quickly from being unable to swallow even one small pill without water, (and even then still choking sometimes,) to being able to deftly extract a small fistful of them from my front pants pocket, and swallow them unseen and unnoticed in less than 5 seconds... (actually, I had sewed in a secret pocket that was easily accessible-- just for that kind of contingency of sometimes having to dose in public as hopefully inconspicuously as possible...)

Kind of a boring post, but your topic/question made me smile.... I guess that there were a few things to it that required a bit of finesse-- (synchronizing the moment when you have saved enough saliva with the moment that there is a lull in Your part of the conversation with the moment that you can make a surreptitious motion with your hand to look at your watch or whatever and quickly swallow the pills.... and I guess if all fails to go down completely smoothly, you have to add to the list a few things like ignoring the taste, suppressing the gag reflex, and trying to talk with rough bitter powdery bits of talc and drugs etc stuck in your throat)

Yeah... An exceptionally boring post, I guess, but it reminded me of a period of time now long gone by.... But anyway, theres much less to it than you'd guess, db... obviously much less to it than working with needles, etc...

i can chew up 7 of them and take em with just a lil water. it is all in conditioning. it is kinda nice cuz then when i get some 30's i can take 3 or 4 with no water at all, just chew em up and swallow!

Hydrocodone was my DOC for like 18 months. I was taking around 200 mg a day. I only got the 10/325's and I'd usually take between 5 and 7 at a time. Most of the time I never even used cold water extractions.

Like the above posters I had no problem swallowing 5 without any water. Normally I would be in my car on the way back from my supplier's pad when I'd feel the need to take the first dose, and a lot of the time didn't have any water with me.

I really like hydrocodone, I really like the way the buzz comes on, and how quickly it comes on. I'd almost always be starting to feel it after 20 minutes. I really like the warmth and energy, and the side-effects (itchiness, constipation) were always minimal.

It's now only about once a month I get any Norcs. I gotta eat at least ten 10's at that or why bother. Yup pop 5 then 5, crunch and swallow. The water is only to rinse the fucking apap out my damn teeth.

I used to have problems swallowing pills, period. I don't have problems swallowing smaller pills but taking more than 6 or so of the big vicodin-style pills is definitely gross for me. I used to put even little tiny pills (roxy/dilaudid sized) into applesauce or pudding to swallow that way. One time I was getting a head cold on a bus trip out up in Fresno/San Bernardino in Cali and we stopped at a McDonalds on the way to get some food. I was taking these little sudafed pills and was still not used to swallowing pills at the time, so I put the pill in my M&M McFlurry. Bad idea, I accidentally bit down on it :o I can still remember how nastily bitter that shit was to this day.

I can relate a little bit. Back when I wasn't too lazy, sometimes I would parachute them, it def hits a little faster and harder. And chewing the 10/1000's would be a nightmare.

I wouldn't say hydrocodone is my DOC anymore, but when I did them regularly, I'd basically just chew them up. Like anything, it's an acquired taste. Yes, they're chalky, but I found that if I chewed them up it would hit faster. Then I learned about CWE. It's not that bad, although it's certainly not pleasant either.

I don't think anything like that exists. I've had 5/500s, 7.5/750's, 10/660's, 10/650's, and 10/325's. There might be a few other 10's, but to my knowledge none of them have 1000mg's of APAP. If there is I would avoid them like the plague.

I'm gonna catch crap for this I'm sure, but whenever I first started my DOC was Hydro. Wellllllll, after swallowing pills about 3 different times, the thing to do around here was break them down and snort them with my little group that I hung out with. So needless to say, I used to break down every single one of them and snort every single bit of powder! Now that I think about it years later, it was ridiculous. I could snort 5 perk 10/325's no problem at the end! It was ridiculous. I can't imagine the damage I've done to my sinuses. As of right now, I've had no probelms, but I'm sure I'll eventually have some issues, when that day comes, I'll cross that bridge. But until then, I'll just continue on!

I've never heard of those either. At least you guys get the 10/325's. In my area, people get the 5/500's, 7.5/650's, or 10/650's probably 95% of the time. The watson 503's are preferred and are usually $5 each, lately they've been $6. When the yellow 10/325's come around, people don't want them so they'll trade them to me for 10/650's. Everybody i know says the 10/325's make them sleepy or don't work like the 10/650's do. And it's been FOREVER since i've seen those Watson 540's someone mentioned earlier

And alot of people i know always chew them. If i'm really sick, i'll put a jolly rancher or peppermint in my mouth and chew 4 10's but i usually just swallow mine.

That's kinda weird on the low price of the 10/325 Norcos. I take 10/325 percs now (15-16 CWE to feel a small high, no nod, but you take what you can get.), but I can still get something out of those yellows. Gotta take it to about 18 (I know, weird huh? I should need 23 or so), but I feel it. Short-lived high for sure.

I have a bit of a romantic memory of those norcos when online phrarmacies were at their peak. Just like clockwork. Them were the days son. When we used ta walk 25 miles to school in snow while herding cows the entire route.

Anyway, I know a lot of low to middle range pillheads who really enjoy the Norcos. More energizing in their opinion than other hydrocodone formulations. .02
