wow swim had a crazy night last night!
first, swim went to the corner of 666th and blowme ave to buy a gram of girl from swims dealer
then swim picked up swims friends in the ghetto part of swims town
and swim got really fucked up, so that swim couldn't drive
but swim drove anyways and swim was swerving all over the road
and suddenly swim ran over some dude in the road! thump!
swim panicked, and hit reverse, and swim ran over this motherfucker a second time
then swim knew he was dead, so swim got the fuck outta there
i hope the cops don't come to swims house and arrest swim!
i'm so glad i used "swim" instead of "me"
now i am totally safe from any legal action because, after all, it wasn't me
i fucking HATE "swim", what a waste of time and keystrokes
does anyone actually believe that this works? really and truly?
if the cops are looking into you and your online posts,
are they really fucking stupid enough to think that 'swims' actions aren't yours?
it's so obvious, i don't know why this pointless practice continues
no one is fooled by swim- not us, not the cops, not the dea, not anyone
just my rant, but remember i don't run shit 'round here (thank god, right?)
so do whatever the powers that be recommend
but seriously... this won't help you in a court of law
"it wasn't me! it was swim!"

lol,I wanted to rantabout this shit but you beat me to it, I think its a lot of the new people that have come from "that other site" cause that's all they use over there, Its not me its swims swims 2nd swin to swin dad, but not me....WTF
Note:This is not Bluelight!!!
Whatever the legal ramifications of using swim, its use makes Jacky, admins and mods a little more comfortable with running this site and as I see it using swim is common courtesy to them.

Nah, I just hate it when people use swim and I in the same sentence.
'Swim drove 2 hours sick to his dealer, and thank god scored, and now I'm high as hell on the drive back.'
Idiots.

I know, right? All the time..
I think it's probably better overall to write about a friend's experience than replace yourself with what has always seemed kind of a dumb acronym/concept to me..

Ha Ha!!! I always notice that and it is really dumb, what was the point of typing all those 'swims' waste of keystrokes ..... I may have even done it myself though, you just realize that people know who the hell you're talking about anyways and realize it's fruitless and give up halfway through your post...ha ha!!
shelly- lol, you had me there for a sec...I thought it was weird that *you* would use swim though, figured it out when you said you backed up over the guy. lol, thanks for that...ha ha

I have to agree with all of you. I cannot stand SWIM, if you are that paranoid, then just dont share the story. I understand that the mods may feel a lil more comfortable..... but they should know that swim isnt going to protect the person using it or the site if it comes down to it.
The point of this site is to be able to be honest, and to express yourself to like minded people. If you are just sharing personal expieriences and they dont consist of trafficking 2 tons of coke and heroin.... there is really no reason to think swim will protect you.... Im not saying LE doesnt watch the site, but they arent looking to go bust someone who just bought a dime bag either.
good topic. I wanted to bitch about swim too.

Yeah, well as I said, I understand it from the Mods/owners point of view but exactly like you said. If you're that paranoid you shouldn't post at all.
I mean, can you even imagine what kind of rescources it would take for LE to track down the perpretrator of some H-deal gone wrong or something?!?

Well, I just looked on one of those Internet dictionaries where they define what "AFAIK" , LOL, all the variations of LOL, etc mean. And I looked up SWIM. And what the hell? SWIM is not even LISTED! . I did find one that I plan to use, though, whenever I want to share some news that I don't wanna be too obvious about:
OK, so SNERT* really scored big today. I (oops SNERT) went in to the family doctor complaining of a soreness inside the hair on SNERTS head (no, not THAT head ha ha you dirty minds). So anyways, he gave me 360 80s, 120 kpins, and 10 patches (denim). Do you guys think SNERT can shoot those patches or should SNERT just chew them? SNERT was able to get a point from my.....oop again, I mean SNERT'S mom's sewing kit, so SNERT is all good with the needle (if SNERT needs to use it based on y'alls advice).
It was stuck in one of those cute little tomato thingys that hold needles so SNERT don't think she'll miss it, and it looked real clean and shit. So :D, WOOOO-HOOOOOOO is SNERT* ever gonna have a good time tonight. Might even attract some cute chick-er-roos, if ya know what SNERT means......heh heh....

That's the intention of "SWIM"...and it does put my mind at ease to a degree.

When I first joined, I had no idea what "swim" was. I actually thought it meant "single white something something." I know, stupid.
As far as talking about personal shit, I don't mind saying things I've done in the past, because they're done and over with. For instance, I used to score on the street. I don't mind talking about that, because I don't do it anymore. As far as what I do now, I do seeds. They're legal to buy. I'm not too afraid of talking about that, although I will say I wish people would stop asking me where I'm buying them. First of all, I'm not going to say, because why would I want people potentially buying out my sources?
And secondly, I make it known that I talk about tea on here. I say what I use them for. If I listed where I got them from, someone somewhere could find out and use store security cameras to find out who I was. Why would I want that to happen? Granted, it's legal to buy them, and I'm not too afraid of getting caught, because they're seeds and they'd practically have to see me make / drink the tea to know what I'm using them for, otherwise it's just circumstantial. But, yeah, I wish people would quit asking me where I get them. I'm not going to answer.
Now, if I were to do illicit things, like pharms that weren't prescribed or heroin, I probably wouldn't talk about it. I'm not doing those things now, so again, not really worried. But, yeah, just don't talk about incriminating things online. Especially specifics. It's just stupid.

swim is everyone's favorite magical friend who does all those evil things you and i would never thing of doing but of whom everyone strangely has extensive first-hand knowlege. i don't know swim and i'm not sure i want to meet her. as far as i'm concerned, anyone who has too way fucking more fun than me but doesn't ever have to worry about getting into trouble deserves to get her ass kicked. royally. by me. it's just not right, the bitch!
fuck swim. i have friends!

i think the idea of "swim" is pretty good if it helps ease the minds of the admin/mods but when i see it a million times in a post that is extremely long it gets annoying. I agree when they use "swim" and I in the same post or sentence it really just defeats the purpose.

I tend to laugh at myself when I think back on the time when I first starting browsing some of the "harm reduction" forums and all these posts from this guy "swim" kept coming up. I thought it was just one guy who really loved to get high and was at times certifiably the original wild and crazy guy. I just figured he had done a few too many drugs a few to many times over the years and now tended to talk in the third person all the time because his mind just preferred to work that way these days.
I am not kidding....this is really what I thought at first reading through the various posts. It didn't take too long to figure it out, but it still gets me to shake my head and smile a bit in thinking back on it all.

Can you get busted online? I figured if ya weren't talking about a murder the powers that be really couldn't give a shite.
you can get busted anywhere bro....Especially if wat your doin the "man" considers it illegal....
No matter how much you try and hide it....Friend a mine got busted in new york and at his trial the pros just said his refs to cars etc was just cryptic messages, that all indicated the sale of drugs...So really swim dont mean shit....
It would be up to the jury,(if ya took it to trial) to decide if swim was you talkin about yourself or actually the mythical someone you might know....
But if swim saves the guys an gals here a bitta headache, its like nick says, "common curtesy to use it".....And remember its someones ass on da line, ie Jacky..As he;s listed as the site owner...

The main thing people should know about using "SWIM" is that it's designed to prevent you from posting things that could get you into trouble–like ongoing illegal activities. I'd venture that some of our members buy drugs in quantities that could be considered felonious–we don't want our members screwing themselves over if anything on this site would ever been suboenaed for legal proceedings (and it HAS happened before...).
Think before you post...

SWIM originates from The Hive and yeah, people got busted. Strike, SureShot and all of the other ScienceAlliance madness makers got to go to jail 'cause of some kids filming themselves cooking MDA in their basement and posting online. The case originated in AZ. There's extensive info on the case to be found.
ANYWHO...SWIM had an uncle who went to the Fed clinkity along with about 100 others in one of the biggest Methacathanone manufacturing arrests in U.S. history. SWIM was around 17 at the time; a few years later when The Hive got shut down Feds arrived at SWIM's crib, where His uncle was arrested by Federal agents a couple of years past, with a stack of papers chronicaling his Hive activity, which wasn't that extensive, but needless to say they had a search warrant for the crib, using SWIM's online activities as 2/3rds the PC for the warrant.
SWIM doesn't claim to be smart or some super cool cook wizard, their Hive activity was more to satisfy curiousity than anything.
FWIW I also think that SWIM is a little retarded, but so is admitting to all sorts of felonious behavior on the the netzerz.

I was pretty worried posting here..esp. since I'm on probation and facing jail time so I didn't want to get myself into a pickle. Now, I've kinda given up since everythings out in the open..but swim is mos def a good idea imo.

Would be better to write about "your friends" experiences. I would hope no one ever came on here and typed a story using swim or my friend if it involved killing someone. In fact, I can almost bet a post like that would disappear.

i have to agree with roxy. never mind the semantics, it's common knowldege that SWIM is always used to reference oneself and when there's just you, SWIM, and all this incriminating evidence that you posted, put 2 and 2 together, divide again by 4, and EVERYONE KNOWS IT WAS YOU. it's just a word game. it reminds me of the emperor's new clothes.
now if you go the "friend" route, then no one will ever really know for sure, unless you accidentally slip up. just make sure that you check it objectively (pretend that you really ARE talking about a friend or imagine that you're looking at someone else's post about their friend for the first time) BEFORE you enter it. maybe check it a few times if it is long or convoluted. for your personal security and general privacy, i think that this would be your safest bet.

you know the story was just bullshit right?
666th and blowme ave? come on....
i was just saying it to prove a point, ie: it's silly
i don't use swim, but then again i only talk about shit that's already happened
i never say stuff that could seriously incriminate me in the present
or at least, i try not to
but i surely don't solicit or sell drugs or talk about scamming doctors :D

I always thought that thehive.ws had in essence created the term SWIM because of the frequent need for it - users would be saying things that would incriminate them for multiple felonies - like "SWIM needs ingredient c for step 3 of MDMA synthesis".
Obviously they got shut down and Hobart Huson was arrested so that shit didn't work too well.
