I recently came off a 2+ month Fent binge and its been really bad. I've been averging 2-3 hours sleep since Sunday. How hard is it to get a small scrip to ween myself down?

not difficult at all depending on where you live but for the most part there are docs everywhere raking in the dough for this med. Try NAABT.com to find a provider near you.

Super easy. Scripts for bupe are extremely easy to get. They can't really test how much of a drug addict you are ya know...ha

Next step would be to find a doc in your area, shop around prices and make an appointment.

You can get doctor's right from the Suboxone website. Call around see if they take insurance or cash, see what prices are, make an appointment, go in tell (in ithdrawal) doctor about your abuse of Fent, get script. If you don't have insurance or yours doesn't cover Suboxone check these sites out for discounts.

To get a script for Bupe isn't hard, all you need is money.
To get a script for Fent. is a bit harder, you need a pain syndrome or
something like that and documentation of it.
Good Luck what ever you are looking for.

The thing is, its already 8 pm and I wont be able to setup an appointment until tomorrow. Is it ok to get a 30 mg Roxi just to help me get well so I can finally get some sleep? Lets say I am able to get an appointment and script tomorrow, will having taken the Roxi tonight send me into WDs since I won't be in the same W/D mode anymore?

If I took one tonight, I'd be in WD tomorrow afternoon, but you know your own body, and how fast it metabolizes the best.
It' prob a good idea to have something in your system though, in case a pisstest is brought up.

If I took a Roxi 30 right now I would be in w/d by 5-6am. But everyone is different. I take my meds every 4 hours so I only last about 8-10 hours before w/d kicks in. The chances you get a doctor with an appt open tomorrow is highly unlikely. At least that is how it is here. 10-14 days until you can get in for intake.

Wow 10-14 days, if I wait it out that long I might be feeling well enough to not even need it in the first place. I'm just hoping to not have another week of virtual sleepness agony.

That may not be the case for your area so don't get discouraged. This is a small town with a few doctors but ALOT of patients. There is even a waiting list at the Methadone Clinic! They did just recently open another clinic so hopefully that will help. There are so few Sub doctors here that 3 people I know drive an hour to see one.

I wouldn't worry about taking the oxy. You can just tell the doctor you're an opiate addict. You don't have to stick to just fent. I told mine my DOC was morphine (which is true), but I also admitted to having done other things opiate wise). They won't care if you do the oxy.
As for getting in tomorrow, you may be able to if you're lucky, but I highly doubt it. Even if the doctor doesn't have a waiting list for patients (which a lot of Sub doctors do), it's highly unlikely that they'd be able to see you on the same day that you called. It's more likely to take at least a few days, to even a few weeks or a month. When I found my doctor in June, I wasn't able to be seen until late July, and had to wait a month. That's just how it goes.

Dont know if its been mentioned but if this is your first time with subs you shouldnt have much to worry about as far as precips.
Second your first dose at some doctors offices will be given to you there and you will be monited for 30-45 minutes or so. Don't count on it but they might do that.
I would not be worrying about some oxy though. Methadone is all they are normally worried about.

After reading a few threads on the forum I noticed that most people seem to expierance insomnia during the intial stages of taking subs. Is this going to be true for me as well because the main reason I want it is to feel a little better so I can get to sleep.

No one is going to be able to answer this question for you man. Some things....especially subs...you need to just dive in and see what happens. Sure there are guidelines but no one here is going to know how you are going to react to the drug and if they purport to then they don't know what they are talking about.
When you are going to get on suboxone the normal thing to do is to keep using as normal until you talk to the doctor/secretary/nurse then they will tell you what they want you to do as far as when to take your last dose etc etc.

Well I'm out of Fent and I really wouldn't want to get any more even if I could. If I do end up buying Roxis though I just don't want to waste a trip to the doc only to have to go back again when I'm in W/Ds is all. How hard is it to convince a doc to RX subutex? I noticed the suboxone is generally for IV users. I've never used needles or heroin, am I more eligable for subutex?

Guys I have to say that after reviewing a bunch of expierance reports both here and on Erowid I'm starting to wonder if this is the drug for me. Most people, even the ones with "good" overall expierances report difficulty getting to sleep. I'm sure its great for making you well but after 5 days I've noticed a big difference in the phyiscal W/Ds. No more runny nose, restless legs, cold chills, and even the general shitty feeling has gone way down. The fact of the matter is I'm still getting only 1-2 hours of sleep a night and its really catching up with me. My driving is shit, I haven't been able to excercise all week, and I'm having a lot of difficulty concentrating on school work. It seems to me that most sub patients are comming off a heroin/needle addiction which is fundamentally differnent than Fentanyl abuse since I'm not phyiscally addicted to the whole needle process and Fentanyl seems to be known for its harsh but relativly short lived W/Ds (yeah right). Not to mention a lot of them also report extreme nausea and loss of appetite, something which I REALLY don't need right now. It seems that for all intensive purposes, this drug treats the problems which I no longer have while increasing the ones I'm still battling with. :(
Just wondering, has anyone gone from Fent to sub treatment? If I saw a shrink could he hook me up with benzos for the sleep specifically for trying to get off an opiate? I think that would work better for me at this point.

If you're looking to subs as sort of a sleep aid while going through withdrawal, you're barking up the wrong tree.
You said you made it 5 days so far without anything? Keep going on that path. Especially if the lack of sleep is the only big issue at this point. Get something for the sleep problems if you feel it's bad enough. If you think day 5 off of fent is bad (not saying it isn't), check back with someone at 2 or three weeks off of subs and see how miserable they still are.

I always slept fairly well on Subs. Especially after the first 2 or 3 days when it starts to build up in your system. The only thing I noticed in regards to sleeping while on Suboxone is not being able to sleep in late into the mornings. What I mean by that is I would wake early, like before 7am every morning. But I never had troubles going to sleep and sleeping for 6-7 hours.
