and 18 methoxycoronaridine are "iboga" related alkaloids that have shown evidence of creating both an antiaddictive type of response and causing analgesia and other psychoactive effects. this without creating as a "tremorigenic" response and the entheogenic effect of the classic ibogaine experience. at least that is what scientists think looking at animal receptor models. I dont think I have read any information about human trials/experiments but it is possible that it has already been used by humans for specifically antiaddictive research. The molecules have been consumed by humans and used topically in addition to the resins and latex/rootbarks consitituents of various plants, including the a few of the tabernaemontana species. One species of the tabernaemontana , coronaria, or divaricata contains these molecules and is avialable in rootbark form at various indian marketplaces and internet websites. the plant has reports of a type of dermitalogical irritation associtiated with the latex, but also reports of using for a remedy for eye irritation and internally as a type of painkiller. Tagaram is the hindu-sanskrit term for the herbal product. there are even a few US based companies that sell this product. interesting.
