dxm+mushrooms = wtf

this happened a few years ago, and im new here so i thought ide share. ive had A LOT of experience with dxm before and after this, but this was the first time i combined it with anything, and this substance ended up being mushrooms.

got the shrooms earlier and had taken a good amount. me and a friend were walking arround downtown(small town, downtown was litterally a street with like 5 blocks on it). so i was begginning to trip and my bud goes "hey, youve never roboed and shroomed before had you?" i go no, and off he goes to the store, leaving me smoking and tripping outside.

he comes out with a huge smile on his face and says were going to the park. so we get there and i dose up. litterally 15 minutes later it started to hit me(which is wierd because dxm usually takes like an hour or so) anyway, it hit me HARD! i look over at my friend, who was eating a burrito, and whenever he would bite it it would move like it was trying to escape and when he bit it bled. i told him to take me home.

so we go back to my dorm, and after chilling a bit i tell him i wanted to meditate(people were making me nervous). so i was a lone and meditating for a bit. i open my eyes and looked at the jim morrison(sp) poster i had on the wall at the end of my bed. well jim leans out and stretches til were nose to nose(i could actually feel his nose on mine) and he then procedes to tell me how i was going to die that night. lovely :) lol

so to calm down i push play on my stereo forgetting that i had a burnt throbbing gristle cd in there. i couldnt figure out how to change it so i was stuck listening to hamburger lady. which freaked me out even more. about that time my roomie got back, took one look at me, turned off the "music" and said "lets smoke a bowl". so we did, making me trip SO MUCH FUCKING HARDER you have no idea.

what seemed like a lifetime later(i was told 15 by my roomie) someone knocks on our door. it was my floors RA! he then procedes to quiz my roomie about the smell of pot in the hall(i pretended to be asleep). somehow he convinced our ra it wasnt us and he left. i was scared shitless.

the next minute(it was actually a few hours later, my roomie said i passed out, which i dont see how i must have just blacked out or soemthing)someone pulls the fire alarm. we go outside and the lights are flashing red and shit in the hall, i begin SCREAMING AND CRYING(my roomie telling our dormates that i was just sensative and upset) so he leads me to the outside where i end up half naked, sitting on the shoulder of the road, and crying.

it was scary as shit then, but now it seems kinda funny :)

Except for the screaming, and RA part, this actually sounds like a fun trip to me. Maybe I'm sick, but the idea of a burrito which tries to escape being eaten, only to bleed when bitten into sounds intriguingly surreal.

(for perspective, i did 5 of these same e's at once and only ended up laying on the floor experiencing the most ecstatic feeling i have ever had to date, fully coherant)
one other time E landed him in the Psych ward for a few days, and on another occassion shrooms made him go crazy for a day.

i love mixing ketamine with shrooms, and i imagine dxm would be quite similar. but if ya want a real nice buzz, go for my favorite psychadelic trifecta: K, shrooms, MDMA. oh wow the wonders to be seen. once this mix made everything i see turn a throbbing barney purple. all i could do was point at the faces of my friends and try to spit out more than "purple" through my laughter.

Im the same speed too I cant do any seratonergics except mescalin in a good enviroment (sp?) or unless its with K which I find a great anti crazy drug.

I agree with Brap, that sounds like the stereotypical anticholinergic trip. Weird that your friend reacts that way.

Oddly enough, shrooms seem to be one of the few drugs I can appear normal to others on. I remember I was going to skip out on my Mycology class one day, so I walked over to an area on campus that had Psilocybe cyanescens growing, picked about 8 of them, and tossed em' in my mouth.

I ran into someone from class, and they asked me if I was ready for the mid-term. I had completely forgotten, but I knew I had to take the test, and it turned out to be an identification mid-term. By the time the test began, I was tripping hard. One of the 60 or so mushrooms that had to be identified appeared to be Cantharellus formosus, but was actually Cantharellus cibarius v roseocanus, the notable visual difference being that the later has a had a faint peach colored halo near the margin (the difference should have been more obvious, but this specimen's coloration was faded). I was hallucinating yet still able to spot this. I ended up being one of 2 or 3 students who correctly identified it.

I ended up with an A for the mid-term, and got an A+ in the class. Oh, and it turns out over half of the class (including the teacher's aids) are into Psilocybes (we all found a large wild patch on one of our class field trips, and pretty much everyone was picking as many as they could fit in their pockets). Big surprise huh?

Haha which reminds me of the time I decided to take a couple hits before music class one day. Even though it was a 2 hour class, I figured it wouldn't be too hard to just sit in the back and work it out. If it got crazy I knew I could leave.

Next thing I know, I'm at the front of the class trying to sing a melody part we'd been working on (in front of everyman's god, the professor, and the entire music class). It was a no go.

One of my friends (who 'knew' but was pissed cause I didn't bring him any) thankfully bailed me out by saying 'man you look like shit are you feeling well' to me... it was definitely out of place but I had then opportunity to say 'yeah I'm not feeling well, see ya' and bolt before I actually died in a fit of laughter, trauma, shock, and embarassment all in one.

DXM is awesome when combined with anything. I took 2 boxes of Coricidin, smoked probably an eigth (not all at once), did some coke, drank some beer, and snorted some xanax. When I peaked I had to ask my friend if I was really alive or if I had died and gone to Heaven. In fact, I had amnesia that night - for six hours I didn't even know my own name. Its been years since ive used it when i used to take the coricidin cold and cough. The other day when i decided to try it i went to the dollar store to see what i could find and they had the off brand cold and cough "compare to the active ingredients of coricidin" well shit i forgot or something but i didnt kno that these had 30 mgs of dxm per pill! shit i thought it was lower, everything else i see like robo has like 10 or 15 ..i dunno i guess i forgot... but all this has is the dxm and Chlorpheniramine Maleate (4 mgs).... did they change the formula or is this antihistamine the thing that makes you bleed from your eyes... lol ...

mushies seem to be much more recreational when mixed. I've had the most intense rushes with mushies & amphetamines. Mushies+e=one loved up tripped out time. Same with mushies+benzo's. All most recomended!

So I would have thought too but Me & 2 frinds all had the experience of a 10mg valium followed by a standard dose of psylocybes. They do mix really well. Like amazingly, the visuals were intense and instead of the standard psychadelic confusion we were all on a mega-happy loved up vibe, close to good mdma. Probably the most recreational trip ever, I seriously recomend this combo!
We spent the trip at a pub dancing to a dub band and for the whole time I could barely stop myself laughing, let alone wipe the big shit eating grin off my face. Trynig to talk to people was the funniest thing, hard to talk when you're laughing so hard. The band are ok, but at the time I was convinced they vere the best thing ever
