Unfortunately,I found out just how addicted I really am this morning.I woke up at 12:00 in the afternoon.A first time in sa long time but I had my hair done yesterday(2 and a half hour perm) and other things I was exausted. When I woke up I had watering eyes, yawning shaking, and the sneezing ,My God I sneezed like 25 times in a row, till I was dry-heaving.Was this the point I should have started the suboxone program? If I could have gotten to the computer b-4 the morphine and this was the point of w/d's that I should have began the suboxone I defintely would have given it a try as I'm so sick of being addicted. So i guess i'm asking now if this ever gets to this point again is this when i should start my suboxone program of 24mgs. a day.I really wish I would have tried it but i know you have to be into a certain stage of w/d's b-4 it works Im just wondering if by the symptoms i describe I was at the point?Any answers for me.Oh I hope I posted under the right forum (general) i just really didn't know where to post this one.

People make out the switch to bupe to be more than difficult then I or anyone I've ever known has experienced. I think there is a forum for "Buperenophine" or "withdrawals" not sure though. When you woke up it sounds like that would have been a good time. Now that you did morp instead(I may have misunderstood) Id wait till you wake up tommorrow. If you feel the same wait one hour just to be sure then take start taking your subs. I hope I helped V
I had to post something helpful and nice today because I've been dealing with some assholes and at first I was enjoying gettting fired up and instigateing but now karma knocked on my door and I got some bad news...good luck

I wish I knew something about suboxone.Sorry to ask this somewhat unrelated question in your thread without being able to help you, but I sneeze too, when going through wd. Is this a typical symptom of withdrawls. Allot times, if I am trying to taper my meth down a bit, I will sneeze my ass off!

yes, yawning, watery eyes and nose are some of the more "vague" symptoms. ie. easily misinterpreted to be something other than w/d

yes sneezing is definately a symptom f withdrawing. Not just 1 sneeze but the over and over constant sneezes . I know this because my daughter just had a baby addicted to methadone and they gave her a point every time she had a sneezing fit.I think the score has to be below 2 for the baby to be discharged from intensive care and that was a point every time, like I say not just 1 sneeze but rep;etitive sneezing, excess yawning, watering eyes, jumpy movements.I think they score up to 20 but I may be wrong,Once the baby gets down to a low # they will send the child home with phenebarbital.

From my experience the short answer is 'yes' that was a good time to start. Like opi, I have never had problems, nor do I know anyone who has had problems switching. I would say when you get to the point that you say to yourself "oh god, I just wanna feel different" for the first time is a good time to start. BUT, I would not recommend 24 mgs to start unless you are VERY strung out. (this is just from limited experience) I would err on the light side and take more if you need it; the shit is strong and it sounds like you are sick of the addiction thing. The lower the sub, the easier to get off.

the sneezing thing will take you by surprise. The first time it happened to me I did not have a clue.... sneezed for 2-3 minutes straight. Now, I will sneeze if I drop my meth dose down some to fight tolerance... I hate it, but good to see I am not alone. Thanks for the info!

Here's the deal, Vanilla: you do not have to be in full-on, puking, fever, shitting, shaking withdrawal to induce your Suboxone. In fact, the symptoms you describe are exactly the symptoms that let me know "it's time". I get the yawning, eyes-watering, and sneezes. Plus my gut will start rumbling. Remember that depending on the size of your habit how much Sub you're gonna need to bring you back to baseline normalcy may vary.
If what you take as your starting dose doesn't have you feeling normal in an hour and a half or so, take some more. You need to get back to feeling 'normal', then it's easy to maintain: as soon as you start feeling shitty again, it's time for more. Then you can start determining what you'll need to take to begin tapering down. Remember that everyone is different, so the amount that one person takes may not be anywhere near what the next person needs.
I think it's kinda unhelpful that Suboxone gets so stigmatized in regards to the precipitated withdrawal. People are so fearful of it. Yes, it can put you into WD if you're not careful and don't use common sense. But I think it's also the "miracle drug" that it's made out to be. If used properly, you can make the switch with NO discomfort whatsoever. I have, many times.
My advice is don't let your mind trick you into thinking you have WD. That's where people make their mistake, IMO. Withdrawals suck, we all know that, and we all fear it. But you need to keep an analytical attitude towards your symptoms. Don't let "the fear" as I call it get the better of you.
Good luck to you!

sorry coddfish I meant 28 mgs. a day again sorry if it came across wrong and the next time I oversleep and get to this point I will definately try the suboxones I'm sick of spending all my money on pills. My kids get all they need food new clothes but the money i get for myself which could go to a new wardrobe goes to pills $700 a month what a waste.I mean if I could do like some and binge and then go back on the subs but right now I'd like to see what it would be like to be clean again.(I'll probably hate it) but I wouldn't know I haven't run out for over 3 yrs. Thanks for the post

Thanks ZK thats exactly the information I was looking for.I am suppose to take 3 of the 8 mgs. a day but have been stockpiling them and will have 400 as of tommorow so if they work its going to help to know that i can figure out what dose is comfortable for me and wean down from there.I think the most important thing was to not let me mentally freak out about the withdrawals.
ps.I tried to give ya rep points but they said i gotta wait 24 more hrs. but i won't 4-get ya Thanx again

I agree with the suboxene. However, I know little about it. I just know that when 'its' bad, my friend has a stockpile of it. Ironically, no matter how mad off I am, one or two (and I don't know the mg), sets me ok. But, this thread made me realize that I just trusted my friend on the amount of the drug. I will now go research it. How naive can I be? .
Thanks for the info...
