Ok, I've been told that taking Lortab after STOPPING methadone the next day, that Lortab releives any W/D I might have. Well, on another board someone said that the Lortab will only put me IN W/D's!?!? I hope thats not true because I just took 60mg of hydro.... Any input??

Bullshit, Lortab is hydrocodone, it will not throw you into w/d. But with a meth habit, it might take quite a large dose to keep the w/d's at bay.

Thanks guys. I've taken about 60mg a day for 3 days of Methadone recreationally and this is the first time I've EVER taken Methadone in a 3 day period. I've used it before but its always been like 1 day. So when I stop will I experience W/D's?? I am a BIG rookie to Methadone btw.

I think I posted this as well in another forum. Hydrocodone as shaunclo said, will put you into withdrawals. Seeing as you only took the Methadone for a few days, the only withdrawals your going to have is if you stop taking your Lortab.

Methadone is a longer acting opioid. Taken at a higher dose, 40mg, you most likely would not feel withdrawals for 24 hours. That is why at high doses, like a dose someone would get when they are in a maintenance program, dosing is only once a day.

I would not worry about the Methadone causing you any problems at this point, except maybe another addiction that you don't want.

Because of Methadones long half-life or that it is a longer acting opiate, withdrawals can be quite long as well. Not after a few days use, but with continued use for a few months, yes!
