*Please note: anything in this post is based on hypothetical situations, not on any actual drug transactions.
OK, so we've all probably been in this situation; either you've been the dealer, the middleman, or the buyer.
It is generally understood that the person who is procuring 'items' for his/her friend/aquaintance/whatever is entitled to a piece of the action for themselves. Where swim is from this is known as 'tax'.
As a buyer, swim's been subject to some of the following taxes: a good friend of 20 years has a friend who gets OCs. It is expected that for every ten 20mg OCs swim gets, the friend receives 2, meaning if swim wants to do ten of them, swim has to purchase 12.
Another good friend of 20 years that swim used to get heroin from expected half as much as swim was purchasing as 'tax' for himself, meaning if swim wanted $100 worth, swim'd have to buy the friend $50 worth. Plus swim would have to pick him up, the friend would also cop his own at the same time, then swim'd have to drive him home.
Lately swim has been doing some 'middlemanning' (is that even a word?) himself. Swim's got a great connect, and some of swim's chipper friends have been getting hooked up through swim. All swim has asked is that they toss him something, and they've been ok with that. Swim has also been doing some long-distance delivery, via a parcel delivery service, and swim doesn't get much outta the deal, but that's ok because swim is very fond of the people that swim is doing it for, and swim is a generous person. But swim is taking a LOT of risk in doing these things and wonders if he should be getting more out of the deal?
Swim has also been the dealer, but that was back in swim's cocaine days, and swim doesn't do that much anymore.
OK, this is getting long-winded. My question is, what's the 'middleman' situation where you're from? How much does the guy who cops for you ask in return? Or are you the middleman and how much do you expect in return for providing such service? I've heard some outrageous claims that the middleman gets as much for himself as he's copping for his customer, any truth to that? If you're interested, let's discuss...
