Just to Kristen the new forum:
For over half my life I have failed to understand why the government so stubbornly insists on spending money trying to halt the production and usage of THC, when the truth is it's less harmful than alcohol and they could fucking MAKE money legalizing and taxing it.
WTF??

AHA, an idea whose time has come. I have to say I was behind this one (well back in like 2007 when I was still a relative newb) and also a plugging forum--yes brauny, I know it'll never happen but it's still fun to imagine a post icon with an oral syringe going up an ass!
But seriously, kudos to the cannabis forum! SWIM smoked a nice fat happy VD blunt today, matter o' fact.
It's funny because my state is in, what is it our wonderful REPUBLICAN Governor Rell said, a $2.6 billion budget defficit but she WILL NOT raise taxes. Since she doesn't want to do that it's too bad she wasn't open minded enough about decriminalization then taxing weed--that should yeild enough to make up the gap and then some. It'll be as likely to happen as a so called milliionaire tax.
I'd be very interested to look into a crystal ball and see 30-40-50 years from now if our policies are equally retarded about cannabis as they are nowadays or if maybe my state and eventually my country will just "wake up and get it already!"
Just to Kristen the new forum:
well, I'll join you in christening the new forum...
looking forward to reading posts!
thanks guys :D .. nice job..
Choice move - glad to see it happen, and looking forward to what comes about of such.

OK, I'll start smoking the evil weed again... it's only been a couple decades, I'll assume my stoner connect is probably still living with his parents.
I'll report all the details back to the forum!... oh, the excitement!
Seriously though, folks, great idea and long overdue!

I quit for years, didn't have a lot of good things to say about it when I'd stopped, and I think I have a realistic perspective on the effects of daily usage.
Regardless I think it's ridiculous that it's illegal despite my current usage status, which I really don't plan to continue forever.. It's helping to get me through a hard time atm and it *does* help, that's my experience.. It's just a weed, if they can get *any* tax on it instead of spending, I'd say they're doing pretty damn good..
Just skinnin up a fat one.......I love ma THC and my life would be very different wivout it....It keeps my aggression way down and lets me remain calm,in situations where i could be volatile....

Razzy, weed was a big part of my life from high school into nursing school. I loved the mellow high. I wouldn't mind indulging again - Sue and I could probably find some nice indian print skirts, & tie dye shirts & hang up our bras and toke away an afternoon, like the olden days.
BUT, having just gotten a felony drug record expunged, and enjoying my job as a nurse at the funny farm, and wanting to get a concealed carry permit for bad ass 9 mm, I think I'll pass.
Raz, my favorite brotha, take a toke for me wouldja? Hold it long, 'til your head buzzes.....

I have allways thought that the best way to go about getting weed legalized is to open peoples eyes to the fact that alcohal is a drug.Once people open up to the fact that as a society we condone the use of recreational drugs it will be alot easier to talk about legalization of marijuana. And I to think it is a better drug than alcohal.Drinking is too hard on the stomach for me.I do it from time to time though.Marijuana I use more frequently.
Ok,everybody that smokes needs to light one and make a post. Here ill be the first one:D.

Any of you ever heard of the "emerald triangle"? It's in northern Cali--- three counties--- Humboldt, Mendocino, and Trinity..... These three counties are the biggest producers of marijuana in the United States..... Their economy depends on weed.... I lived in Mendocino for a year.... EVERYONE grew weed.... good times.... learned a lot about growing weed up there and did a good amount myself..... I also learned about Poppy Tea up there as I knew several people that grew poppies in their gardens..... Lots of open-minded progressive, Green thinking people up there.... unfortunately there was a LOT of speed freaks up there too....

I agree. Use cigarettes as an example. Having them available doesn't mean that everyone is going to use them but for the people who do it is important they can depend on getting a quality product at a reasonable price. Sure, kids would shoulder tap to get someone to buy them but kids are going to have no problem finding pot anywhere as soon as they want to try it.
And even though cigarettes clearly cause health problems and are bad for people exposed to 2nd hand smoke, etc. because they make SO much money for the cigarette companies the government allows them to be shown in movies, in ads, in free sample offers. And all of this is deemed "OK" because the huge amount of money they make and the government gets the taxes off them and everyone is happy. So why not do the same with THC?
I personally don't use pot (I get paranoid when I do) but I understand that it is a topic that people are very passionate about getting legalized and I support their efforts in doing so.

Bubble bags-- hells yeah bro---- SWIM went in on 50 lbs of shake 2 years ago from an outdoor crop that this dude was looking to get rid of.... SWIM used the bubble bags and made a shitload of beautiful hash from all that shake---- took SWIM a couple weeks though!!! I love how theres no harsh chems used-- and you get some lovely hash--- SWIM made a big profit off of that deal!!!

SWIM loves bubble hash. He likes hash more then buds actually.
Often times I sit and wonder why Alcohol is the mood altering substance of choice for society -- and why I completely and utterly do NOT enjoy it one bit...
Wouldn't it be amazing if pot were legal? There really isn't any logic behind it being illegal at all...
No sane rational person can say that there is.
I doubt that we'll see it legalized in the US any time soon though...maybe 100 years from now...
