i was wondering how detoxing would be affected by..
starting myself out with inducing precipitating withdrawal via suboxone?
i know what precipitating withdrawals are like by fucking up in the past.... but would there be a point basically?

It sucks ass dude. Once I was smoking opium for 3 days straight, and took my Suboxone the day after. I really didn't understand the way Suboxone worked at the time, so I was surprised when I was vomiting violently for 2 days, and had to drive from San Francisco to Los Angeles, feeling like SHIT the whole time.
After making that mistake once, I'll never do it again. As a matter of fact, I don't think I'll touch Suboxone again. Fuck suboxone; ruins everything else, and is terribly habit-forming.

You really wouldn't want to intentionally induce precipitated w/d with bupe / Subs. From what I understand, it's a rapid onset type of thing, not gradual like with traditional w/d that progresses from mildly shitty to very shitty in a matter of hours / days. With the bupe, you're going to be going from okay to shit in a matter of seconds / minutes, depending on how you do it. I don't think anyone could or would want to handle that.
PWDs are the worst. I have no idea why anyone would want to go thru that willingly.
There's a thing called RAD -- rapid antagonist detox, where they purposely precip. withdrawal -- but the catch is you are in a coma the whole time!
No one would want to do this while being awake. IT's terrible. Anyone who has taken suboxone too soon on accident can tell you that.

In a word, NO. In a second word, WHY?
Maybe you're thinkging it will make the overall detox (total time in w/ds) quicker??? No, I don't think so.

I have detoxed using suboxone several times (oil changes). Only once had I experienced precipitated withdrawls. less than 24 hours prior to taking my first dose of suboxone I had taken methadone and oxycodone IR. I waited, maybe 12 hours, and took 8mg suboxone (idiot choice) right off the bat. The withdrawls got so bad that I made the mistake of taking another 16-24mg. I was out of commission for 2 days before I felt, normal.
Normally I stop taking methadone 3 days before the suboxone and the oxycodone 24 hours before the suboxone, then I take the suboxone and within 1-2 hours I feel perfectly fine like I had never done drugs.
I would wait 24 hours, your withdrawls shouldn't be too bad. Try and knock yourself out and sleep through most of it with some Trazadone or Seroquel. Then do a 15 day taper (there's a good one posted in the bupe forum) and you should feel great. (cravings are another demon but you won't be sick at all)

PWD only last about an hour or two until the Bupe fills the receptor. Then the Bupe holds off the w/ds. Not such a big deal, if you can tolerate an hours or two of intense w/d than go for it. I think you must have something like rapid detox in mind, the only problem is the Bupe will fill the receptors and then you will still have to wait for it to leave to really start to detox.

No way would I do that again. Back in 06 when I was doing raw I only waited 6 hours and after only 30 minutes I was puking, shaking, sweating and miserable as hell! I pushed through w/d but it took me about 6 8 mg subs and the course of 24-30 hours. I know it sucks to wait, but it's a lot easier to start even as soon as 18-24 hours after your last dose--depending on how hefty it was. If need be, score some benzos and use those to work your way into mild w/d. Start dosing small with the bupe and maybe ever few hours dose again. I guarantee if you do it too soon your next post in this thread will be a tale of misery!!!

I could kind of see the point if you were using naltrexone and you had some heavy duty comfort meds, that could speed up the withdrawal process but with suboxone you'd have to withdraw from the bupe as well. No offence but did you think at all about this before posting? ;)

i know all about it..not to much fun at all:).

So what you want to do is not wait to take the Sub, take it now and put yourself into PWD. After about 1-2 hours the Bupe starts to work and the w/d fades then just let the Bupe leave you system slowly? Is this your plan? When the Bupe starts to leave your system you will start experiencing w/d all over again, although it will be little more mild.

Not if you use bupe after being on other opiates.
The bupe itself is what causes the precipitated w/d's - it has such a high receptor affinity it violently knocks off any morphine or other opiates that are attached. This causes a terrible precipitated withdrawal for a much longer period than a couple hours. I felt terrible for like 2 days, although the worst of the symptoms were over in a day.

I agree with that also. I've had this happen to me a couple of times, and it always lasted at least 1 day, and sometimes 2.
Never 1-2 hours.
