Title should be spelled 'quit' not 'quite'. whoops
Ok. I've been on/off Subs for 2 years. Of course playing with other things. I straightened up over the last year or so and stuck with the Subs. 8mg was my highest dose.
I'd been down to a quarter of a 2mg pill insullfated (sp?). Finally I said- screw it- I want to be done with this.
I jumped on January 9th. I lasted a little over a week- with no help- no benzo's, nothing. Well a week later, sunday the 11th I had some very bad things go down and I was a mess, so I played with some good 'ol lady H. On and off throughout sun night, mon, tues very early am. So maybe 48 hours. Then I of course kicked myself. But I didn't go back to the subs.
I had some benzos, and i've stuck it out.
My main question now is am a I screwed?
Am I WAY set back?
I'm still proud for being over 2 weeks Sub clean.
But now I'm annoyed with the sweating which wasn't really there before.
Just some thoughts, inputs, etc.....
I know- no more illicit BS. That's alright. I made peace with myself on that. Just curious on the WD's from suboxone and heroin thrown in the middle of it all.
Gracias.

No, you probably aren't set back any more than you already were. The heroin has such a short half-life relative to the sub, that I feel (others may disagree, based on my own experience) that your 2 years of suboxone will far outlast the heroin in terms of being out of your body. The smack will only take a couple days at most (at that amount), whereas the sub may take several weeks to be completely gone. This was my experience with quitting long-term Suboxone.

If you jumped off the subs at two mgs. you are stronger than you give yourself credit for. I've heard some horror stories about jumping off at that dose which spooks the hell outta me since I'm on 2-4 mg's a day and looking at stopping soon.
But no, I would say you are not set back at all. The 48 hours of H is nothing in comparison to the kick of two years on subs. Congrats to you. And don't be too hard on yourself if you have a lil' setback here and there. Good luck on staying clean. It seems like you have the will power and as they say " it's yours if you want it".

You're definitely ok. As mentioned before, heroin has a relatively short half-life,if you only used for a short time period you will just be dealing with cravings, and should not be experiencing w/d's/
The sub withdrawal is probably still fucking you up though.
I recently got off subs (up to 24 mg/day down to 8 mg/day) after using them for 2 years. I was withdrawing from benzos too but I could feel the Suboxone w/d lingering around for at least a month.
That is what sucks about quitting maintenance opiates like buprenorphine or methadone - they stick around in your system, causing a prolonged withdrawal syndrome. This leafs to bad cravings as well for months, your receptors are still begging for opiates and it is easy to relapse.
Just don't make it a habit with the H, you're already through the worst of the suboxone withdrawals keep going, and your system will be back to normal, and if you're careful, you can occasionally indulge in a shot of dope every once in a while without making it a habit again. But it's tough.

After the month, did it get much better?

After the month, did it get much better?
It definitely got better, the physical symptoms were for the most part gone. I wasn't sick all the time, the cramps, sweating, and shaking had for the most part disappeared
I was still experiencing terrible anxiety, insomnia, and restlessness that still plague me months later. I have been using a little bit of Kratom lately, in the last couple months, which helps a lot, but this is to be expected - it is basically just an opiate substitute for me, and I still feel like shit when I'm off of it.

So were you on Subs for 2 years and kicked it?
I'm in that situation right now, and really want to kick it.

Yeah, no Subs in over 2 weeks now. I was down to maybe between .5mg-2mg snorted daily.
I'm sorry, but this kicking subs sucks. Over 2 weeks- almost felt my WORST today. So tense. And I caved and grabbed some coke/heroin. I couldn't stand no energy and no sleep. I don't use the needles, so it was snorted. Not much, but just enough to take an edge off.
I don't know if i'm shooting myself in the foot or not. I really don't give a fuck about drugs much anymore. I'm just sick of the whole thing.
Only thing that still tickles my curiosity is meth, but thats apparently absent in the Detroit area. I always wanted to check everything off my list LOL.
Anyways, i'm hoping my little 'slip' will get me over this bump of ill will. I was tempted to try a sub instead of going out to get some of the other stuff, but subs just stay with you too long
I'm just praying now that I don't WD from the little bit of heroin- i can't WD and do school and work. So hopefully a 24 hour use of tiny bumps won't fuck me over.
I started a rant and rave blog to help me get through this. I can't keep spending money, risking myself, my future. I figured maybe blogging about my life and what i'm going through might help me keep focused on other things.
If anyone wants to check out a manic all over the place blog- feel free:

I guess we all need eachothers help now and again.
I couldn't do the NA thing, so I could use someone for support- a sponser like person. And 'oxy kid'- if you need some support or wanna ask me anything, gimme a shout.
I was on subs for over two years (12mg daily sublingually) and I decided that I should do heroin again...big mistake. For one it took me like a week to actually get a decent buzz going, and even so, I had to do like 5 bags at once. Finally, after like 2 months of this every day, I tried to go back to subs -- only they didn't help at all. I was sick as a dog. Wasn't PWD's. Was just my tollerance was so bad that bupe couldn't fix the wd's.
Do yourself a favor and MAKE SURE that you do NOT use H again.
If you start using H with alot of sub left in your system you will start heading down the road of disaster / point of no return! It was hell for me to come back, I'm lucky I made it.
