Has anyone heard of the "Las Vegas Cocktail" or "Soma Coma"?

I've read that Soma mixed with vicodin is an awesome combination; much more so than mixed with benzos or alcohol. I've even read on pain patient web forums that they require much less vicodin to control their pain when they take it with Soma because of how the two work together. I was curious if anyone knew anything about this specific combination. I have mixed vicodin with zany and alc and found there to be so added pain relief with the addition of alc but nothing like what I've read about this combination. I've heard it's like a heroin/morphine intense euphoric combo...?

I take Soma everyday, with Morphine, and it works great. It's one of the best muscle relaxors available. I do not like them mixed with benzos, as it's just to "sleepy" feeling (no nod though). The only downside is that Soma is short-acting, and you gain tollerance very fast, but as a once-in-a-while treat.. sure, the two mix nice.

I've done it before, but I don't remember it being all THAT great. Somas are nice once in a while, but my experience has been that after taking them for a day or two they seem not to have much effect. It's like tolerance, only I develop a tolerance very quickly to them so only once in a while for me. Now, as a muscle relaxer they do continue to work, but there's no euphoric feeling for me after the first couple of times. The best thing I've ever taken along with opies is Phenergan (Promethazine). That shit seems to triple the potency and will get me to a nice nod. When I had my wisdom teeth cut out, they gave me Mepergan (Promethazine + Meperidine) and that shit rocks! After I filled the script I gobbled down three of them on the way home (I was driving myself - not a good idea in retrospect), and about the time I got to my driveway they were kicking in good. It's a good thing I didn't have to go any farther or I'd probably have wrecked the car. After about an hour I was like Jello. I had to go somewhere so I had my girlfriend drive me, and on the way I actually started hallucinating! They had put a thing around my jaw and head to keep my jaw up as I had so much novocaine that my mouth would just hang open otherwise, not sure what you would call it so I'll just say a brace. I thought I was eating some onion rings and she told me later that I was gnawing on the brace and mumbling something unintelligible. It was an experience for sure. Since then I've experimented with Pheneragan and found that it enhances opies better than any other thing I've tried. Damn, now I'm wishing I had some to go along with the Morphine!

Man, you can get a script for Phernergan very easily. Tell just about any GP that you have nausea and that you want phenergan.. they can even call it in for you. :) I've never been denied a phenergan script.

I normaly take 10mg of hydrocodone. Its how much i use for pain and 15 recreationaly. Well i took 15mg of hydrocodone and decided to take some with it. About 15 minutes later (very quick acting) i was sluring my words and became very very... influenced. The most hydrocodone i have taken has been about 21-25mg (low tollerance) and i wouldsay taht 10mg hydrocodone with a soma is like taking 20mg of hydrocodone.The feeling is different however, not as clean. It also lasts A LOT longer, it comes in waves. One night i was sick of the feeling (long story) and just wanted it to go away but it lasted from 9 until 3 in the morning (i cant sleep while opiates are going strong). Also when i have taken hydrocodone befor (alone) it begins to wear off after about 10-20 minutes (the feeling of hydrocodone atleast). It was completely gone so i took a soma to help with back muscle pain. Well 10 minutes after taking the soma it brought the hydrocodone feeling back! Its like.... the opiate receptors become bored and stop sending you signals then the soma wakes them up. I dont know how else to explain it.

I think I posted that an anuther thread, but yeah the "Las Vegas Cocktail" is what most of the cab drivers will sell you in vegas, 10-20$ for 2 5mg vic, and 2 soma. It got so big that Las Vegas actuall treats soma as a scheduled drug, all rxs as databased and kept track of. I have also enjoyed the combo, I would take the vics about 30 minutes before the soma, being as for me soma hits very quickly..

I love the hydro + soma cocktail... Soma tollerence builds VERY quickly. It takes me 3 to do what 1 used to do. If i've been taking the regularly then it can take more than that. :(

However, soma only hits hard for about 30minutes it seems. It comes on strong then falls of quickly. It's really odd. Then sometimes it doesn't come on at all.

I miss the Hydro and soma blend. Like some of you said, tolerance jumps too high too quick. My pain doctor fixed me up with a coctail, which has not changed in tolerance. Hydro plus promethazine plus Xanaflex (Tizanadine). I thought Soma was my muscle relaxer of choice till Xanaflex. Wonderful fuzzy nods. The only prob I have is sometimes my pain is so strong I cannot fully enjoy my meds. When this occurs, I use the same coctail but add pot or Xanax and I can reach that feeling through the pain. But, what I wouldn't give to be in a soma coma! I wonder how long one has to wait once it is too tolerated to be that affective again. Anyone know? My last one (that didn't hold) was about 6 monthes ago.:(

I miss when this combo used to fuck me up royally. But I do have a funny story they recently started making generic Soma and they seem to kick in quicker and harder than the name brands. Well I ended up shooting a 4 mg Dilaudid and then ended up gettting another half of a 4 a couple of hours later along with six of the generic Soma. Well when the Somas kicked in needless to say I couldn't walk without being held up. And mind you while I know Soma can do this normally it has never done it to me at a dose so low since I was in 6th grade and weighed like 80 pounds.

Hey thanks for the thought. I also shoot k4's for dilaudid, yet, thought the addition of Soma didn't matter. Will try that. I am, as I might have said before, a cronic pain patient, so the opiates are a part of my life, yet the adding of other 'things', sort of makes things a bit more bearable. Maybe my Soma tolerance has no bearing when added to such things. It's worth a try!!!:cool: . I was not logged on over the memorial day weekend, so I send a great extended weekend to all, and a special Memorial day.
