i said this in another thread but i am for real about this
a whiles ago i got banned for using the "n word" (i'm not here to bitch about this)
and now someone else just got banned for the same word against the same dude (obama)
now, i read the rules and there is NOTHING against being racist
you can call someone a cuntbags, a nazi, a cumdumpster (all these have been used)
but one little racist slur and you are banned with NO warning?
it can actually get kind of confusing to tell the truth
no, racism isn't the classiest thing, but neither are a lot of discussions we have here
so i think, and this is only a suggestion,
that you guys either:

a) WARN PEOPLE for racist comments instead of bringing down the ban-hammer
because after all, you can say ANYTHING else rude and disgusting against folks

or

b) make it a rule! write it up in the rules, no racist slurs
that way no one can say "but i didn't break a single rule and you banned me!" and be exactly right

"unwritten rules" confuse everyone

Anyone with half a brain knows not to use racial slurs among a group of diverse people.

Some rules do not need to be written.

If you can't figure out that racial slurs are offensive (and I don't want to hear one of your twisted logic arguments), then you don't belong here.

Furthermore, this isn't a democracy–if you don't like it, pack your bags and leave. It seems the other 1000+ members have gotten along fine without a "no racial slurs" rule, perhaps because it's COMMON SENSE to NOT USE THEM!

here's one opinion on this matter, that came straight from one of this site's original founders, bi11i. we will NOT tolerate open racism for the obvious reasons, but also because we junkies are looked down on enough already. why add any reason at all for people to think that these views are typical of junky thinking, or that we even find these views acceptable in any manner? other non-opiate-loving netsurfers can read things that are posted here, and form their opinions of us from what they see.

most of us here are interested in finding ways to change the general perception of junkies (or any users of opiates) from being worthless quasi-humans, to being people who are fully capable of intelligence and evolved humanity who can fit in with society in the current times (although this is not a requirement of membership in this forum in any fashion). but the crux of the matter is this: while you are free to hold any opinions you want, you cannot express racist ones here. bi11i does NOT want the shit on his website, and neither do we (the mods/admins).

as brony already said... this is how it is. if you don't agree or like it, tough shit. it is not up for debate... so either live with it as is, or leave.
