OK, I think this is in the right forum--i.e. here and not "supply" as it deals will illicit suboxone. Furthermore, I used the search function and also looked through all of the threads in the bupe section for this topic to no avail. If I messed up, my sincerest apologies.

Anywho, how much do you pay for your illicit subs? I like to keep some around for days like today when my shitty dealer who just picked up 180 OC 80s yesterday doesn't fucking answer his phone...and I just got paid.

A friend of mine here in town is scripted 3 a day and doesn't alway take the rest so sells me the remaining ones..I usually buy around 10, and at this count they cost $3 a piece. If I buy fewer, they're $4-5, and if I buy more they go down to $2.

I'm very happy with this pricing as each pill lasts me at least 4 days, and they are a life saver on so many occasions--now being one of them when I have to knock out basically all of Aristotle's Nicomachaean Ethics in one evening.

So, what do you pay? Let's price based on the orange octagonal Suboxone 8mg tablets..just equivocate your version.

About ten bucks for an 8mg, but there's no better bang for your buck for staying well than suboxone. If I bought enough dope to stay well it would cost me 50 bucks a day, but I'd b good on 1-2 dollars worth of sub a day. Id kill for a few right now btw, no refill till the 21'st and I just ran out, gonna be a shitty weekend.

yea around here in jersey its 10 bucks also for a 8mg. when they are around i always stock up on as many as i can 10+ and i break them in quarters and its a big part of my habit managing and financial budgeting to support my habit. ill go 2 weeks on subs and save money those 2 weeks then do my doc then get back on the subs and it an endless routine. i love subs, without them id be in horrible wd after every 2 weeks ;/

.I usually buy around 10, and at this count they cost $3 a piece. If I buy fewer, they're $4-5, and if I buy more they go down to $2..

damn son are you talking about 80s?! thats one hell of a kick ass deal!! id be stocking the hell up! but i dont really like ER im a IR kinda guy, and rapid release (haha oxyfast)

Well here in the Buffalo New York area SWIM gets them for between $5 and $10 bucks for suboxone and $10-$15 for subutex. No breaks in pricing with more bought either. I agree when you say it is the best bang for you buck to stay well. Most people I know also stock up on them and break them into quaters. Just like any other drug it's who you know not what you know.

No, no..I see how that could be confusing. I switched from OC to bupe without enough forewarning...sorry! I was talking about Suboxone 8mgs. 80's are about 10x as expensive @ $40 (but that's for another thread..).

$3 from a good friend who's insurance makes them almost free to him.

Yeah $3 for an 8mg sub is a great price; as others mentioned, your friend must have insurance.

I figured out the true cost of mine once w/o insurance (so lucky I know to HAVE insurance!) and it was between 7-8$ per 8mg tab. I know they can be gotten cheaper if you shop around a bit, but since I have like a $5 copay I don't hve much incentive to go anywhere but the most convenient place where only one out of every five techs and pharmacists is an ASSHOLE when I pick up my subs, Yeah, I hope their sister or mother or THEY get addicted to opiates some day yet maybe they'll STILL get off on making people feel lke junkies when they pick up script.

Yup, stock up on the subs when you can..... lifesavers. That is, if you're not on maintenance EVERY DAY like I am. Kinda sick of the "bupe life"...... tapering down an hopefully off in the net couple moths.

4 connects for sub.

1 gives me one or two for free every month when he gets his refill. And then he'll let me get a few extra @ $5 each.

2 give me them for cost. $7 each. One of them is rx'd two a day and only takes one and wants me to split the script, which i should do for emergencies or tapers. It's crazy around here that people will pay $.50 per mg for hydro and .50-.75 per for oxy but nobody wants subs for $10-15

And other guy charges $15

Well, if people pay for the Subs out of pocket, around here pharmacy price per 8mg pill would be 5-7 dollars per pill. I've never bought "sold" Subs, or sold mine when I had them, but I imagine since they cost that much out of pocket, they'd at least raise the price to ten dollars per 8mg pill. And, the odd thing is, the 8mg Subutex pills are even more expensive, about 7-10 dollars for pharmacy prices per pill. I've never even seen Subutex (buprenorphine alone, no naloxone in those), or had it, or bought it, or sold it, or anything, so I would also think they'd raise those to maybe 15 or so dollars.

I really couldn't say for sure though. I've never bought bupe except at the pharmacy when I was scripted it. I had to pay per pill because I don't have insurance. So, the pharmacy I was going to had them for about 5.50 a pill, but I know some of the pharmacies around here (because I called several to get the best price) sold them as high as $7 per pill. I have no idea what the exact Subutex price would be, because I never had that scripted, and therefore never called. But, I do know from reading on there they're more expensive than the Suboxone pills, which is odd, because Suboxone is a combination med, whereas Subutex is just pain bupe. You'd think the Suboxone would be more expensive than the Subutex because it has more ingredients and probably harder to produce. Although, I'm sure there's more of a demand for Suboxone and more supplies of it, than Subutex, so maybe that's why Suboxone is cheaper. Because it's more common.

Yeah, Nark, subutex in my experience has been more expensive on the street. They, like you'd imagined, go for $15 in Southern Missouri. At that price, a $10 suboxone is just as good, and the orange flavor is way better. If you wanted to slam it, ya, it'd prob be worth the extra $5, but if not..why? Never understood.

Down in my end of the world nobody's even heard of suboxone. I could probably sell them for $30 per 2mg if I wanted to be an asshole. Drugs are expensive here, especially opiates. Swim's opiate naiive friends have tried small amounts (0.5mg up the nose) and have thoroughly enjoyed it so I figure that's $7.50 per dose. Cheap!

He has to have insurance or they'd be about $5-8 per pill. And he's from Kentucky where pharms ARE expensive. I know a few people from there and they tell me OC 80's go for $80-100 all day

Around these parts you can expect to pay between $10-20 each for 8mg Suboxone. Subutex does not exist, none of the Docs will write for it unless you are pregnant. I'm hella out of my script a fews days early so my friend, who gets 4 a day scripted threw me one to get through. Oh god how I hate Suboxone but once I feel ill enough I'll take it.

$2 is damned cheap!! Even though I have insurance, they still cost the insurance company $6-$8 a pill. If you buy them on the street here, expect to pay between $10-$20 each for an 8mg. When SWIM had plenty extra, SWIM would sell them for $10 all day long. Now SWIM has to hold onto what SWIM has. :(

Every pill around here is about 1 per mg, except subs. An 8mg is 20. I guess we have the university to thank for that.

underneath, in french, it says - 7 euro 60 for 7x 2mils..

$10 each in my neck of the woods. I don't care for them, they make me feel weird, and it's not a good weird. Of course when there's nothing else around to take and you feel the hot moist breath of WD on the back of your neck, I'd choose feeling weird until I can get something else.

yeah they're strange little boogers. During the onset, right after I take them for the next 30 min, I always feel really weird....like I'm onsetting a small LSD dose or something. But then I feel warm and productive after that, so it's all good.

You can always come to the midwest! There are some surprisingly beautiful areas... I have been all around the western US and nothing to me is more beautiful than some parts of Southern MO and Northern AR.

Furthermore, super, super cheap costs of living...especially if you plan on buying a house. Also, I know you're interested in working at a university...lots of good ones...KU, MU, OU, Arkansas, OSU, Slu, UMKC, Wash U, etc. etc.

Real humble nice people in the midwest. I couldn't stand a lot of the attitudes in CO..

I remember last time i was up there (first game of 08-09 season) i got into a druken fight on high st beside casa's and split my hand open with the beerbottle i hit this guy with at 4am, well me being so drunk (and guest dosing at the clarksburg clinic) thought that i had to get my dose while soaked in blood, drunk as hell, and a gash in my hand that later got 18 sitches.. well needless to say that was the beginning of the end of my mmt.

No Sub in Canada yet? Wow. I didn't realize that. I wonder for how long.

Since I'm paying out of pocket for Subs right now, until I find another job, I'm checking around for pharmacy prices. It's weird, Target is where I was getting them filled, when I had insurance, so I thought I'd just stick w/them. Hate having to go to a new pharmacy, and deal with the initial discrete once over that comes with a Sub script.

But apparently the price per Sub at Target varies, according to the number of tablets you get. I called yesterday and they said that for just one, it's $11.50! But, after that, it goes down to $9.00 if you get less than 10, and then it drops to like $8.00 or $7.00, if you get more than 10 or 20. Even with that discount meds card, it's going to wind up being expensive when I pick up my new script. I told my doctor to please call in 30 for me, to Target, for now.

I bet WalMart is cheaper, so next time I visit him in person, and have a paper script in hand, I will take it there. I have a feeling WalMart has a standard price, no variation according to how many you get.

WalMart is actually pretty expensive IMO. My rx for hydro's at most places is ~$15 for Watsons but WalMart is ~$25 for Malli's. But I've never had a rx for sub but I've heard Mom n Pops have cheaper prices for subs than big chain pharmacies.

My great friend SWIM has a buddy that's been selling them to him for $7, which he thinks is a great price. He usually grabs about ten or so and drops off the grid for about 2 weeks.

If you see SWIM make sure you tell him I'm going to need that ten bucks soon.

here in my tiny ass town, when subs were first introduced, suboxone went for 10 and subutex went for 20, per 8mg tab, but now its 10-15 for a suboxone and 25 usually always 30 for a subutex.. i think thats a bit rediculous. i know they are expensive but most of the ppl i know that get tex only pay like 1 or 3 dollars for their script because they have "access" insurance. and the others pay around 20 to 25 for a script.

Interestingly in the Bay Area in Northern CA where I currently reside and in the Central Valley where I recently resided, through my experience Buprenorphine is basically unheard of on the streets and if it is, no one is really interested. There also seems to be almost a complete lack of knowledge among many of the users in the scene out here that I have encountered on the streets; undoubtedly there are Bup patients all around here, but as of yet I have NEVER seen Bup on the streets, ever. People are all basically down with Methadone, if it ain't dope, it seems, and are weary of Bup if they even have any idea of what it is.

Of course, only my experience out here.

With all these people being unemployed, (and therefore under/uninsured), I have a feeling the street price of Sub will go up - there are going to be a lot fewer folks getting their script of say, 90 8mg subs for a co-pay of $25-$50.00.

I am going to apply for the Needy Meds program through Rickett, but for now, my MD called in 30 8mg Subs today. I picked them up from Target this afternoon.

Price without using one of those cash paying discount cards: $201.79

Price I paid using cash paying discount card: $170.85.

So, about 15% off. Better than nothing, but I'm determined to make this stretch until I either get another job and insurance, or get approved for free meds. I just can't afford to pay this every month w/no job.
