The new "gel" type long-acting narcotic medications are generally not safe or effective to shoot. They don't even work all that well when shoved up the ass for the same reason, that you need stomach acids and intestinal enzymes to break down the time release -- water won't do it.

I'm not so sure about this "heating method". I was just prescribed these for a broken wrist and a broken ankle and have tried a few different methods of extraction. I cleaned off the time release coating and powdered the pill. Cooked it up with 1&1/2 cc's of water, being careful not to bring it to a boil, although it did once or twice. Added alittle more water and let it sit for a few minuites and then filtered it up into my rig, ejected it and filtered it again and shot it. The results were pretty insignifigant. I think just powdering the pills(2-3) pouring it in a glass and squeezing a wedge of lemon and pouring ginger ale over it gives you alot more bang for yer buck. I've been using the ginger ale method for years and it has never failed me. I believe the carbonation and definately the lemon help to seperate the product from the binders and it kicks yer ass in about ten to fiffifteen minuites. Give it a shot with a couple of them, you'll be pleasantly surprised I promise.;)

Now here is the question; " is it normal to ask the pharmacist for a certain generic brand?"

I mean can I just say; " I don't want endo's so can you order me watson's?"

Or will they totally be suspicious and possibly contact the Doc, etc.

ive asked pharms what generics they have, when calling for price quotes. (walgreens-cvs are like $65, for 120 7.5/750 vics, compared to target-walmart at $35 for the same thing) and i've done it infront of the pharms, and said "are they watson?"

with a strange look on their face "uh, yea"

"not bad..." acting like i found a benz for 20k.

it did pull up some strange looks.

Thank you very much for your reply.

I wonder if national chains contract with generic companies or is it the individual pharm that orders what they want and works within their budget?

I mean does all Target-walmart carry one brand and walgreens another nationwide? Or does it differ city to city?

that i don't know. my experience has been, walgreens=malies (junk)
cvs=watson

target=watson

walmart=malies (again, junk)
but try it out, go to different pharms to get your pills. not only do you learn who has what you want, its A LOT of fun too!

What's wrong with the olde "heat it in the spoon, draw up, point, click & shoot?" (works for me- of couse I DID need to learn patience).

Unfortunately it seems individual pharmacies order on their own then. Target here has endo.

Thank you very much.

they've come up with new ways to bind the oxycodone time release...anyway, we have all been talking about the kinds of OC generics and their various methods, and about how you can't just take off the coating, it isn't just ONE coating, it's mixed with the medication, so it has to be heated AND separated/filtered a certain way in the spoon to separate the wax...unless you're into shooting wax into your bloodstream...heh ehe might prevent buildup /atherosclerosis ?!:D

I have been pleased with the Watson 80's so far. I hope my regular pharmacy will stock the same kind, I had to get these from a different location because my regular pharmacy only had my previous meds, MS Contin, in stock.

what the HELL did you just say? Jesus christ man, punctuation is your friend! This isn't some race, you have plenty of time to look over your post for corrections before hitting that button.

and yes, the watson generics are exactly the same. I guess this person is talking about the footballs.

^ I am soooo with you on this one, FP. And this is not meant as a personal attack on you, Oxy, but there are several posters here (even a few that have been around for a while and have valuable things to say, not that you don't) that do the same thing. Just one long diatribe with no paragraph break-up and NO thought as to proper punctuation.

And this is not meant to school anyone, or to act superior at all. It's just that when you have something lengthy and detailed to post about, it almost becomes unreadable when it is one huge block of words with no break or spacing whatsoever.

As I said, some of these posts come from valued members here, but when I see that huge, uninterrupted block of words, I find it hard to process what the poster is trying to say, and sometimes will skip reading the post because it's simply too hard to read. I usually re-read mine for spelling mistakes, and will even go back and edit a mistake if I catch it. Sorry to sound elitist, but that's just me, I guess.
