I got charged with 'resisting arrest' stemming from an arrest for public intoxication...the cop failed to say how I earned the charge...and I swear I didn't fucking so much as flinch, I don't get it!

I think he just wanted to take me downtown...anyway, I got out on X-mas eve, and the judge told me the charge was 'no complaint'...wtf ever that means...and to return to court on the 30th.

Anyway, if I get convicted of this or have to plead guilty (cops word vs. mine), then what happens? Jail?

I'm not on probation and haven't been in trouble since a DUI in 2001.

Should I be worried??

I doubt it. Talk to a lawyer or a pretender (like you always should) but I'd bet they toss it out - "no complaint" sounds like the cop doesn't have his shit together..

i got a resisting arrest charge with no other charge once... yeah, i don't get it either

that charge can mean anything from shooting a cop
to a cop thinking that you might have looked at him funny
but as far as i know, it's an 'or' offense
which basically means, since you aren't on probation,
that they will either throw the charge in the trash
or find you guilty and make you pay court costs on your way out
check your state's laws- you might not even *need* to pay them
in florida they can't do SHIT if you don't pay court costs
can't even take your driver license or hurt yer credit or nothin
