Need help guys

okay so i have been fixing subutex for the last year or 2 and its getting to the point where i dont wanna poke myself just to feel normal.

i tried snorting some earlier and i actually got a warm pleasant feeling from it that i dont get when i fix it. does anyone have any suggestions on how to kick the needle? i know that i have to "want" to, but

ive thrown my shit away many of times and just got more points. the one time it was so bad i threw my points away during late afternoon with the intention of just snorting or sublingual. and that night i had a dream that i was trying to find points, now thats pretty bad in my book. think i might keep the points around but not use them, i want to just snort them. does anyone have any advice on how to kick the needle....any advice would be greatly apreciated, thanks

That's a rough spot. The fact that you caught a slight buzz from snorting some should work to your advantage but other than that a needle fetish is tough to get over. I don't know if I can really say that since I have never gotten over mine but I can imagine how hard it is. I've never tried to stop using needles and I have the dreams sometimes even. I have them when I've been off dope for a few weeks and been on my subs only.
I don't have any advice but it seems the only thing you can do is give it time. How much until the urge starts to pass? I have no idea. If snorting works for you then try falling in love with that i guess.

I've had that most of my adult life, too, to be honest, and no matter what people told me, I just *had* to fix subutex...it didn't do anything for me...and between tar and subs, what was left of my veins were pretty much shot...

but I know what it's like...it does seem to get better tho, with time...I hardly ever think about the needle anymore, and at one time, it seemed to be all I thought about...when it comes to subs, specifically, I just had to face the fact that it was not really giving me any kind of buzz, and that it was certainly helping destroy my veins...

I think it's just habit, and habits can be changed....best wishes...

I had dreams where the gear was on the foil and i was just about to inhale and woke the fuck up.....I wonder though if i would feel the high in my dream if i actually dreamt enuff ,and got the smoke in my lungs....

I bet you could feel it in your dream. Think how powerful a dream can be. Your dream can actually bring you to the point of orgasm. Why not feel euphoria?

Back on topic, that is tough. I have horrible veins so I've never had a problem keeping IV use to a minimum. I use a couple times one week and wait a couple before doing it again. Good luck man!

Krinkov is right on this. You will feel it in your dreams. I haven't had a dream in a long time because of THC consumption (I speculate), but I remember when I used to dream about smoking OC80s and I felt the rush more than once. Waking up sober was "a rude awakening"

Aside from that, shooting Subutex is absolutely horrible for your veins, and that is an understatement. Have you read any medical reports on subutex IV abuse? Perhaps that will make you consider quitting. If anything, continue shooting with just water and taking subs sublingually. You need to break your needle fettish before you can break the addiction.

ive read all the reports, ive seen the pictures from Singapore or wherever them people had limbs removed, its just not something i can kick, ive tried multiple times, hopefully this time i can kick it with insulfation

Yeah, I was never a big chaser; I mainly snorted then graduated to IV/IM. But I've had some crazy-ass drug dreams where I found all sorts of weird pills that looked almost like skittles. I had another one where I found several bundles; not only did I use but I also felt high in my dream. It's weird but I know what you guys are talking about. I've never been quite certain how to explain it other than the unconscious mind is said to produce dreams to either cope with feelings or to deal with wants and needs you have a hard time processing when you're awake. Freud said dreams are wishes; I'm not sure how much I'm willing to buy into it but perhaps in this case it applies.

Even when I was clean for years its the dreams that woke me up wishing I had something right then.

I might have snorted'em once, but I don't remember feeling a thing...never plugged'em...only thing I ever plugged was tar, actually...and opium suppositories from a drugstore heist...when all the goodies were gone...

But it wasn't so much what I had *read* that kept me from fixing subs...I just didn't feel a fucking thing...probably if they were a short acting opy I might have, but I didn't even have the slight lift that perks or oxys gave me when fixed, so I just figured I'd save my veins and put'em under me tongue, like they said....

Often when veins go, u don't see it coming, bro...u just wake up one morning and the ditches are gone...and don't come back, IMO...so that's a good enough reason to do'em under the tongue...but believe me...I understand...I think I had to get rid of my rigs...just having the suckers around made me think about using them, if u know what I mean....

i actually get rushes and high in my dreams---most people wake up b4 they get high----got over the needle fetish after i lost most of my veins and was spending sometimes hours trying to hit---age worked for me-- i don't know how to break the habit when your young and have veins---sorry
