GBL (Butylene Glycol) is actually a list 1 chemical under the CSA because it is a direct precursor to GHB. It has a zero tolerance limit, here is a link that sums it up.

I also believe that GBL has been schedualed recently (schedual 1), although I may be wrong. If it has not yet been schedualed it is only a matter of time before it does because I seen talk about the "GBL Problem" on the DEA's website months ago and they were talking about taking action, and as of recently all of the online vendors that were offering it in their cateloge have either shut down, removed it from the products page, or added a memo at the bottom of the page that reads something like "will not ship to the United States".

Like I say, I am not possitive that GBL is yet schedualed but I am 100% sure that it is a list 1 chemical with a zero tolerance weight limit. It might not be a bad idea to do some research of your own and perhaps edit your post.

edit - GBL is converted into GHB inside the body, so selling it for human consumption (even if GBL isn't schedualed itself) could be a crime. Any sites (other than scientific supply houses) that I have seen in the past that have sold it, with one exception from Hong Kong, have sold it for the purpose of stripping paint.
