I have noticed that the DXM threads don't move very much, so I thought I would post something to get people talking a bit. What method or methods do you use to extract DXM from syrup? I am partial to the agent lemon method because it is quick and requires only a few very common ingredients. So, post away peeps...the good, the bad and the ugly...:D

at one time i purchased all the necessary ingredients to extract via lye (is it lye?) i never got around to doing it. i drank all the syrup before i could get started.....

If you eat cough gels, I would suggest dissolving them in a small amount of hot water and then using the agent lemon process, extract the DXM. You lose more dex by splitting the gels IMH, and the gelatin caps melt away pretty fast with the stirring of the hot water, leaving you with a Robo like liquid…then use two table spoons and scoop out the slimy shells one to two at a time, then use an eye dropper with a small amount of water and squeeze the resulting amount of juice back into the bowl. I like using this method because it is far less volume of liquid during the acid extraction, hence less materials used in the process, and more than likely the same yield with a higher quality end result. It would seem logical that the less liquid you have to work with, the cleaner you can get the acid extraction to turn out. Obviously the purity of the materials you use play an important part in an acid extraction, but it all really boils down to the product you are willing to consume to get fucked up.

Another thing I have heard some people talk about is a large naptha content in the agent lemon end product. You will want to make sure not to use too much acid in the last stage, as the naptha with bleed down into your acid mixture. 3 tablespoons of lemon juice and about 1/8 cup of water will suffice for each 4 ounce bottle of Robo max. I have not gauged this for the gels yet, as that is a bit different than using straight up tussin. So, if you are having to boil your agent lemon down to nearly nothing, or light it on fire to get rid of naptha that has bled into the acid mixture, please don’t…you are wasting DXM and your precious tripping time. Just make damn sure that all of the CPM is filtered out...back in the day before I was smart enough to hit forums such as this to minimize my risk factors, I regularly took large doses of CCC. Now that I know how extremely stupid that was, I am happy to still be alive. You really should stick with more safe preparations to extract from, and as such neither I nor any member of this forum or the site which I linked to will take responsibility for the outcome of your actions. Be safe and read as much as possible before attempting anything like this. No matter how experienced any of us may be, this fact does not protect us in death.
