Hey everybody, hope your all doing well and my best holiday wishes to all the fellow opies.
I have a quick question about this take home dose I was given since the clinic is closed tomorrow because of Thanksgiving. Should this dose be kept in the refrigerator? Its 65 mgs and its in the little plastic take home bottle with just water mixed in with the pills, no juice concentrate or anything. I wasnt sure if it would even matter because the dose is going to be taken in about 24 hours anyways, but I was just curious whether keeping it cold had any benefit over letting it sit at room temperature. Thanks all.

The only times I've ever had a dissolved wafer I just had to make sure I stirred it up before i took it. Only take homes I've ever had were red juice that kept pretty well. Someone else may be able to help more but I would think it should keep fine especially with such a short time before it will be taken-just shake it up. I'd probably keep it at room temp myself.

Legally, they want you to store it in a locked box, but you can just store it in the medicine cabinet or where youepp other medication.
No refrigeration needed.

Yeah, about the lock box, at my clinic everyone who has take homes has to bring that lock box in and put their take homes in it, and then return the bottles when they come in to get their next doses...but oddly enough, on these days before holidays when everyone at the clinic gets a take home dose, no one needed a lock box, which is weird...they just hand you the little bottle and you walk out just holding it in your hand. If someone wanted to pull off some extreme methadone heist then that would be the situation to do it in haha.
But anyway, yeah i figured that storing it at room temp in a medicine cabinet or whatever with any other meds would suffice so thanks for the help

Same question here..
I found something that relates to the red syrup i guess, hold on..
For the Methadone mixture DTF1mg /1mL the shelf life is 36 months. But i presume that is for the sealed/never opened bottles. Dont know if putting it on smaller bottles would decrease its shelf life.

I have found that the red liquid stores very well OUTSIDE of the fridge, in a dark area like the back of a drawer. In the fridge something was weird, it seemed to lose potency (or i could be a dope fiend). Lasting 3-4 months at least should be expected, this way.

40 take home bottles of how much mgs?

Just for teasing.. ;)
I get 6x115mgs takeaway home bottles per week.
And will get upped to 120 or 125 next week cause its not holding long enough nowadays.
6x125 = 750mgs per week, that's a lot of methadone, specially for an "ex" dope head.. lol but im doing nice.. and clean.. cough..cough..cough.. cough..
SWIM just took 245mgs of methadone the other day, he felt it.. not as euphoric as he wanted but it was felt and it was for free.. It was just enough for SWIM to warm up by feeling some of the opiate blanket effect.
You don't get takeaway home bottles even if you piss clean for a while?

Damn that is rooouugghh. I mean honestly, c'mon do they really need to be open on days like christmas morning. Just get over it and give the patients a take home dose. You guys get up at the crack of dawn every morning and drive however far to the clinic, the least they could do is reward you by letting you take a break on the holidays...especially the biggest of holidays like xmas. I give you serious props Shelley for putting up with a clinic like that. But alot of people have no choice so theres no much one can do.
