What's up ladies and gents? Happy Sunday funday to you all. Just relocated from West Los Angeles back to the Empire State and wanted to inquire about the good fortune (or not so good) that everyone has been experiencing over the past couple/few years in good ole Upstate New York -- specifically the areas of Rochester, Syracuse, Utica, Ithaca, Binghamton or even as far West as Buffalo.
Most of my experience has been with Rochester and pretty comfortable there even with a multiple years away, but any tales of Greater Finger Lakes and surrounding Western New York would be absolutely great to hear. Adventures with the dope show would be preferable, however any pharmies or opi8_pr0n or whatever floats yer boat would suffice. Seems to be quite a bit of activity on these forums nowadays. Glad to see all the participation. Rock and roll hoochie coo.
It's nice to be back in the Northeast, despite winter being upon us. Thanks in advance for sharing your stories. Be safe, be nice, be fun.

Welp, guess I can start with a quick summary of experience(s) since arriving at the end of summer. . .
Surprisingly enough, have NOT run across any high grade, double-sealed, wax stamps since I have been back. Rochester's open air markets only seem to yield plastic baggies at straight up ten bucks a pop -- even powder coke seems to be more difficult to dig up on the street, whereas nicks used to be perfect for the ole "one & one" tickets to speedballville, but crizzack is plentiful as always. Have been mostly behaving, thus the patronage of open air markets rather than having been able to procure a reliable cell number contact. BOY, how the Los Angeles left coast special delivery is missed. Was super nice to have dope (albeit the majority of which was BTH), coke and w33d all delivered to the doorstep quicker than you could have a pizza pie at the house.
Anyhoo, already started rambling and turning these experiences into a bad novel. Been enjoying Ethex 30mg instant release morphine this evening -- haven't had pins and needles rush liek that since LA's black tar heroin (BTH). Dope has been mediocre, but honestly not a lot of time and energy has been invested chasing it. Oxycontins are pretty available any day of the week but range from $30 to $55 each per 80mg. Loads of 5mg percocets and all varieties of hydrocodone, but could care less. One of the better experiences in the few short months of being back has been happily enjoying handfuls (or rather armfuls) of the 4mg Mallinkrodt dillies at $8-$10 each, but waiting on next month's script already so that's a real bummer, dude. Lastly, fentanyl patches have been around in both 25 and 100ucg/hour but always struggled to get peak recreation value out of them, so not worth the rather large investment.
To summarize, things aren't barren by any stretch of the imagination but definitely a lot of room for improvement focused in the main area(s) of concetration -- i.e. speedball lane. So Upstate/Tri-state folk(s), talk to us. What's good? Look forward to comparing battle/war/horror stories or whatever you can bring to the table. Talk the talk, folks! And of course:
Be safe, be nice, be fun...

P.S. -- Also noticed some poor little old lady walking around the grocery store pushing a shopping cart with an Actiq lolli dangling from her mouth. Thing was brand new and she kept taking it out... wanted to snack that so badly. No clue what size, but sign us up for a few handfuls kthx.

Hey there, I am from New Jersey, and am a pharmacy student there, but I went to undergrad in syacuse and my brother goes to school there. You are absolutely right when you say that there is an ABUNDANCE of fucking crack up there, i hate it. There is definitely H in syracuse ( I go up there frequently, and if I don't bring anything from jersey: where it is so easy to score great quality powder, than I get shit there) it is just harder to find. I went out on the streets a couple of times and asked around, got ripped off a few times but finally found a cell phone connect up there.
The quality of the stuff varies, but it is definitely there. I actually think most of the powder comes from NJ/NYC and it is usually 15 a bag instead of 10, but hey if you need your dope then you will pay it. I am not sure about the roch, but I am pretty sure buffalo has a ton of Dope too. I can personally attest that Syracuse has dope, not easiest to find, but it is DEFINITELY THERE. Hit me up and let me know more about your experiences up there.

I'm from Long Island but I usually cop in Paterson NJ when I'm at home since I can get the best shit there from my guy. I used to go to school up in Syracuse @ SU - there is definitely dope in Syracuse. I was getting good shit at $10/bag and $80 a bundle, which, while more expensive than Paterson is still a pretty decent deal considering the abundance of crack in the area. All I should say is the south side of Cuse is your best bet - it's a shithole and there's a reason why it's closed off by the interstate and they try to divert traffic away from it from the university area.
I would usually get shit in P-Town on the way up to school since it's right off i-80 and I'd take that to 81 north and be right there...most of the shit in Syracuse comes from the NYC/NJ area. My guy got it from Brooklyn personally but I've gotten from a few other people there and I've had a variety of different shit still in it's original packaging (when getting smaller amounts) - including double sealed bags in a little plastic sleeve that came from CT, there's a bunch of shit from the Bronx as well.

The dope scene in Roch took a big hit last winter due to a big push from le. Of course it's still around and the quality has gone up consideribly but it's been pushed off the avenues to the side streets of the ne section of the city. It would help if you spoke Spanish. Watch your step cause those guys are f'n nervous because of all the busts. My buddy was lucky to get out with his life not too long ago.
Welcome back to the land of ice and snow. brrrrrrr!:D

im in ny also, but lower down, nearer to the bronx
i dont know much about the rochester scene, but i can tell you that the Bx is hoppin as usual, and the quality is very very good...
no open air, though, you gotta know someone who can make the proper intro, then you'll get a cell phone number...
cheap, high quality and abundant quantity is the 411 right now

I got no advice for that area.
I just think it's funny how the definition of "upstate" changes depending on where you are.
People down near the city would definitely call where I grew up just north of Westchester "upstate".
I though of people living near Albany as "upstate" when I was growing up.
Now that I live near Albany, I think of all that shit near Canada as "upstate".
It's all a matter of perception.

Being from Nassau County NY on Long Island we refer to anything north of Westchester County to be "upstate".
Something interesting you may have not known; for many years now there has been a secession movement (which has been achieving varying degrees of notoriety) which calls for NYC (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island the Bronx), Long Island & Westchester County to secede from the rest of NY State and become a separate state.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_York_City_secession
Personally, I'm totally down for the idea - we pay way more taxes in this part of the state than up north yet get none of the benefits of doing so. Not to mention the cultures and populations are so drastically different that it would make a lot more sense in terms of legislation and representation in government. There are a bunch of similar nifty little secession movements currently being "planned" in the US, some fun stuff to read about if you're bored.

The Big Apple is the only thing keeping the rest of the Empire state even remotely blue. Up here in the Finger Lakes region I often feel liek I'm living in the Deep South (minus all the backwards Civil War "history" and archaic drug possession laws). From my experience living in West Los Angeles for a few short years I also noticed that California was fairly similar -- all the coastal areas were progressive whereas anytime you drove inland the people and places started turning eerily conservative Republican red as well. As a general rule, progress is where the people are.
Should I be regarding the Rochester/Syracuse areas as Western NY and reserve "Upstate" for Albany to Plattsburgh to Watertown, et cetera? I guess I've always pretty much referred to anything beyond New York City as "Upstate" but for conversations sake I'd love to understand what the consensus is so we're all on the same page.
To kinda get back on topic, regarding whoever was talking about how the scene in Rochester has degraded within the past couple/few years due to stepped up law enforcement I can most certainly relate. Got pegged on two different occasions by "Project Impact" which was a collaboration of Rochester City Police Department along with assistance from Monroe County Sheriffs and New York State Police targeting the huge amount of violent crime, shootings & homicides supposedly directly linked to the drug scene. It pretty much sucks and I know first hand they've made heaps of busts but I don't believe it has really put a dent in any drug activity and who knows how many guns it has really taken off the street. It got to the point where I was getting shaken down simply for being a white kid in certain areas. I guess it must be working to some degree because now I have been paying someone ten or twenty bucks (via a trade of a bag or two for a speedball) to do the legwork for me while I sit and wait at a safe house. Actually I mostly waste my cash on bad pharmies so I don't have to trek to the less than desirable (or rather HIGHLY desirable personally) locales to accomplish my mission(s).
Not sure where I am heading with that, other than continuing to elicit conversation about personal successes and/or adventures. I'll stop bitching for the time being and focus on some silver linings -- we most certainly are REAL real fortunate with all the fertile soil in the Finger Lakes. It's not just amazing grapes which are grown around here. We get Amsterdam caliber heady nuggets every fall to help combat the boredom if/when you don't have a wicked opi8 habit to maintain. Some of the favorite strains this autumn: Silver Pearl, Bubblefunk, Alaskan Thunderfuck. . . great hashish, too.

One more specific I forgot to add -- when I was a regular part of the action in Rochester a fair amount of dope was brought up from NYC by a variety of folks, but there were also tight knit groups of Freakin Ricans who consistently had the top shelf shit and they would make semi-frequent flights to Puerto Rico and import it directly to Rottenchester. Anyone else familiar with the slang terminology "perico" (coke) and "manteca" (heroin)? Surely I butchered the words, but hopefully you can decipher my phonetic spelling and try to make sense of what I'm asking. Maybe that's for another thread entirely, but to my knowledge it's specific to NY and was encountered initially in Rochester. Never encountered `em either in Atlanta or Los Angeles in many years.

Yea man, what I found is that most Rochester and Syracuse and even the fingerlakes region are called Central Ny to most people in NY. Though I have to agree being from NJ (went to school in cuse in the past) anything above weschester is "Upstate". As Dieselbaby and I can attest though, there is definitely dope in Syracuse, hard to find white people that are into it, but our black brothers are for the most part cool if you know what you are doing when buying dope in the first place.

Ha, you used to take the same route I did pretty much except I would come from I-287 in jersey and then hook onto I-80 to 380 to 81. Man Diesel how were your years at Cuse? I gotta talk to you man I graduated a couple of years ago from there too and am back in Jersey getting my pharm degree.

Nicest cop I ever met was up in Webster, NY ...instead of giving me a ticket for backing my rig up illegally(trucker)--which is what I thought he was going to do...he asked if I wanted some coffee, that he was going to go get some...chatted with me for a few minutes...and I had earlier left Hunt's Point to go up there...and...well....HP and Webster are like 2 different worlds....really...

Buffalo and Rochester are also refered to as "Western NY".
Webster "Where Life Is Worth Living"(town motto). Thats where I was a little kid. It represents to me the last of "The Real America" that so many wonder what happened to and others like myself know will never be again. Pre socially acceptable divorce suburbia where Mom was home and most families believe it or not got by with one car. We had a vegetable man, a milk man, and a fizz pop soda truck that came through the neighborhood on a regular basis. As kids we were free to "go out to play". We would be gone all day and our parents didn't worry about us one bit. I remember lake effect snowfalls up to my armpits. I remember my mom making me watch the painfully boring lunar landing. I was real little but I do remember sitting on the floor on a sunny day about 3 feet from a tv with wooden legs and her trying to tell me that someday I would be glad she made me watch it. 5 or so years later I remember watching Nixon resign and it was all downhill from there. Not long after my parents were one of the first to get divorced and the magic spell of my carefree youth was broken. I feel pretty lucky to be old enough to have lived in those days. It was the end of a very nice time for a lot of Americans. Webster was my "Dandelion Wine".

u guys r right about that...
funny story, last week i was on my down to "story ave" in the bronx to meet my friend (not a connect, not for drugs, nothing like that--he has playstation 3 and we were gonna play and smoke some weed, whatever, whatever.."
so supposedly there's an exit labeled "story" actually it is the very very last exit on the bronx river parkway southbound before it turns in to the sheridan? don't qoute me but i think it's the sheridan...
anyway, i get off at some god-forsaken exit from the BRP and i found myself on "bruckner boulevard" which, as i found out later, is fuckin HUGE and traverses a very large section of the Bronx...
oh, and i'm trying to be around the 172nd street and story ave area...
so i get on bruckner boulevard, of course there are no street signs to tell me what number i'm at...of course not,why would there be any,? so im drivin and drivin along this bruckner blvd and as i am doing so,, i am going deeper and deeper, and south and south into the bronx until i see signs for Hunts Point industrial, etc..
dammit! this is NOT where i need to be, what the hell happened?? so, at this point i start seeing some street numbers and i find, to my dismay, that i am near the low 130's (East 137th street to be specific)
headed toward Mott Haven in the south Bronx...
Fuck!
So i do what any logical, sensible driver would do: i try and turn around on this "bruckner boulevard" and re-trace my steps....yeah, one BIG problem; it doesn't run the 2 directions side-by side...in other words, the direction i was going in split off from the direction going back,, and to get back to it,, u have to traverse some local streets...
so here i am driving around Mott haven of all places,, tryin to find the piece of shit bruckner boulevard
long story short, and 45 minutes later: i still didn't find it...what i did find, though, was the 3rd avenue bridge (willis ave)....so i was on 3rd ave and east 137th street when i came across a BP,, an lo and behold,, my godsend---> an exit for the maor deegan (i87) north!! i jumped on that shit with the quickness,, and tried to make my way back...of course there ws traffic near exit 7 (geo washington bridge) and even before it, it was backed up at east161st (macombs bridge) and i sat in traffic AGAIN for another half-hour...at least i was in familiar territory, though!!
so i followed my dreaded deegan to fordham road, got off at ex 9,, and trace fordham road (west) till i found an acceptable way to get back to the bronx river pkwy south...
got back on it, and found fuckin "story ave" i though to myself, what a stupid ass name,, though relevant b/c after that debacle, i sure did have a "story" to tell!!
so yup,, that was my adventure, and my fellow NY'ers should enjoy this,, that's why i put street markers in the story i told---so you all can have a CLEAR idea of just how lost and out of my way i ended up that day!!

I just remember that town since it was after a really rough time down in the Bronx: it was my first time going to Hunt's Point...and that is almost a rite of passage w/truckers...as u hear all kinds of horror stories if u make a wrong turn...and I made a wrong turn, and was runnning around the Bronx around 3 in the morning w/an 18 wheeler, exhausted, frightened...nobody looked like me, and even spanish--my second language--seemed useless...but as usual, people in big cities are much nicer than they get credit for, and some people told me how to get to the Point, and all ended well...and then I had a drop in Webster that evening, and it was *such* a relief, and the cop was so damned nice...so naturally I remember it...but I'm sick enough to eventually like the Bronx...just a different world, and to see them both in one 24hr period is a shock to the system...but I never forgot Webster...

That sucks T. I know the area you were in and it's too easy to get lost down there. For future reference, the Grand Concourse was just a block away from that BP you were at. Take that north and it will take you right to the Bronx River (well sort of, there are signs). It bypasses all the Deegan traffic.

yeah man that traffic is killer!
and you know the mosholu right? well, recently they have been doing some construction on and near it (on the bronx river pkwy southbound) and the exit for the Mosholu itself is backed up to all hell,, and then once u actually get on the parkway, you're crawling because the geniuses doing the road-work decide to block lanes in rush hour traffic...

One thing I definitely don't miss...the bumper-to-bumper traffic on the Cross Bronx Expressway driving from LI to Paterson. Sometimes it's so bad on the way back that I'll drive take i-80 to GW bridge and hop off on the Henry Hudson Pkwy, take that south all the way thru Manhattan and then get back to LI via the Midtown tunnel. Talk about a long shortcut
SWIM Is from Buffalo and it's a crap shoot...
It's all on the west side of the city, and it's all powder heroin in wax stamp bags, but alot of it is garbage.
People get mad greedy and cut it wayyyyyy to much to the point where nosing out good shit has become a hassle. There IS good shit out there, but it changes daily, and what once was a good brand (stamp) could be absolute garbage the next day. It's crazy.
Kedens
01-02-2009, 05:23 PM
SWIM lives in the good ole Rochacha and currently has a few places to go, the most stable of which comes in plastic and can be acquired anytime at ten a pop... its quality is consistent but not the greatest.. it just doesn't have the rush of the good wax stamps occasionally stumbled upon, however those vary in strength too.. one time a single wax bag caused immediate nodding out by the time swim reached the front of the little debby snack stand 15 ft from the bathroom in which it was taken. But unfortunately that one was a trap as SWIM received it as a sample and went to acquire a bundle of which only to be ripped off completely.. and for this potent stuff the pricetag was 20 a pop and a heaping 160 for the bunch... so the rip hurt...
I am not sure what kind of details I am allowed to post about SWIM's experiences with this, though I believe that the afforementioned is ok. In summary, the stuff is available, its not widespread by any means but if one knows where to look it is possible to succeed in a street snag, though it helps to know someone and have a number and or know of a safe place to go. Rochester Police work hard to keep this shit on lock down. and if you are white in the wrong neighborhoods after dark one must really be careful.
for example, SWIM and his friends knew of one good spot to score and the five of them took turns actually going into this place each time while the others waited at a safe nearby grocery store parking lot (within walking distance of the locale.) out of precaution the team always went during the day and scouted carefully for men in blue before going through with it... sometimes these steps seemed like overkill to some (esp if in wd and short on time) the cautious approach proved key when a desperate night led to an after hours mission in which the unfortunate lead guy was searched on his venture back to the store for no apparent reason. Turned out the police said it concerned them to see a white boy walking those streets in the middle of the night and were concerned for his or her safety, when asked why he was being searched. They even took the goods without filing a report and simply said that he or she needs to get help and never be seen on that street again. But the cat came back the very next day...
Swim often wonders why the police so often let swim or his friends go when in possession of opiates, No Joke every single time swim has been caught with any opiates they simply took them and sent swim on his way.. each of 6 times... no report, no charges, nothing but an attempt at a guilt trip and the whole "you're better than this shit" talk... do they like them as much as all of us here?
My apologies for rambling on, if anyone has any more focused questions (ASIDE FROM ANY LOCATION DETAiLS or solicitation of ANY kind) I would be happy to share any of my local knowledge of the scene here in roc.

Work on getting some phone #'s. That scene is more dangerous than it seems. You hear the news. Rochester is a violent city. I hate to say it but it is pretty nice of the cops to be the way they are. My buddy got stopped and they just took the bag and let him go. I guess doing more would just be a hassle for them. I used to roll with a dimebag of weed to give up and hide the smack real good.

I used to know a guy in the Pocono mountains in Pa that would drive to Newark (45 min) and cop a brick probably for 350 and then come back to PA and sell it for 20-25 a bag. He would open up every bag and take out half and fill the rest up with cut or empty the whole bag out and fill the whole bag up with bullshit and then tape it back up and sell it. I imagine thats how most of the dope is in Upstate NY if you are buying from somebody who uses. Your best bet is to drive to NYC or Jersey and pick up a brick. That way you will always have good dope for a cheap price

without breaking any rules, how is it that just anyone can drive to NYC and cop a brick? It's not like there are signs on the thruway saying quality bricks exit 1/4 mile ahead...

That would be a good idea but hey you know junkies. I think my dealer is doing what you said. I used to get stamped bags that seemed a little traveled. Now they are brandy new plain white wax seals and the dope is cut up pretty good. It seems like the longer you do business with a dealer the more they take advantage. Back to the bupe for me. It's good to have an option. I bought three buns last week. That dealer won't see a dime outta me for quite some time. I wonder if she'll get the hint.

As said a hundred times, Syracuse is a tough city to find dope in. Finally found it after a few months searchin thru pills and crack. Shit was fire and the bags were fat as hell. Some of you said to check the South side but I found my shit on the West side pretty easily after spending time on south.

the bun i picked up last week was 130. good to hear i wasnt gettin robbed, dont really know the 'cuse prices. the stuff i was getting in buffalo was minimum 200 and shit compared to this so i jumped with glee when he said 130. now all it takes is willpower to save my $ for OCs that i can sell instead of blowin it all on dope. good luck on the streets man.

Question, when you found your shit in the part of cuse, I think you did, was it a random dealer, or was it open air?

Yea, it could be worst. The quality is usually pretty good. Most of the shit comes from back home in Jersey and NYC.... they tax the $5/bag for travel I guess. But hey, dope is dope is dope, and yes I miss the $60 bundles, but will pay to keep sickness away.
