Today i went to orthpedic surgeon. He looked at some xrays and said "AHH heres the problem". I apearentl have a disc that grew a little larger on the left side the the right side did. HE said this can cause pain, discomfort and make it easier to hurt because of the difference. i asked if i could be perscribed hydrocodone (i use like 60 a month when i have had A LOT) so i was going to ask for 20-30 just to last while my current injury dies down. He said he only wrote scripts when he did surgery. WELL! thats great. He tells me it can hurt pretty bad etc, wont write scripts. He didnt even do a MRI, and im sick to death of going to these stuck up doctors. I Have looked at norco worldwide and have considered this... but im unsure. My doctor wont write anything else for atleast two months, i dont like using poppy pods because there a little to strong and i react... strangely to them. WHat to do what to do.

get some benzos in the near future and that will help you tremendously. There are plenty of sites where you could find some good ol 10 millie blues. These same sites could probably even sell some hydros also. I have seen plenty of em lately.

I used NWW for about year, they are great 120$ conslut (there is a db code) 120 count 102$ with 2 refills...normally the consult and ship will be same day. But I still think there watsons are some how black market, either fake or expired. The ones I got I have compared to ones form a local pharm and the color is very faded, and the strengh is not as stronge...but just my opinion...

If your having pain, have you considered antiinflammatories? I know that you don't get the nice little high, but it may help to relieve the pain. Pain is generally caused by inflammation at the site and a bulging disc is probably causing some irriation which is causing inflammation. I can't help you with pain meds and ordering from a site may take some time to get. But if you need immediate relief until you find some pain meds, try that as well as some heat and ice. alternating both for 20 mins at a time.
Maybe a pain specialist. I can imagine your tired of going to the doctor. Who is prescribing your pain meds now? This orthopedic sounds a bit unfair to state what you have is really painful, but to offer you nothing for pain. Some docs can be just downright idiotic. They are so afraid of prescribing pain meds anymore. Obviously you have the X-Ray to show some problems and he is still unwilling, seems to me he has some issues.
Just some suggestions for you until you can get some real pain control.

Have you tried going to another doctor with what you have documentation. It should not be to hard at one time i was going to three different doctors at one time a month. And each one gave me at the very least hydro10;s from 60 to 90 count. good luck

These doc's suck. Yeah you have a problem, it looks like it could be painful. Can I have something to ease the pain? no. Fucking assholes. SWIM had a friend who's back was so bad he could not even get out of bed or sit on the shitter and all he got was 7.5 hydros and some shitty fentyl patches that didn't do shit. This dude has a family and he could not even sit up in bed to play with his kids I would go over his house and smoke pot w/him and have to cop o/c's at work to supply him.It was really a low point for him and the stingy doc's made it worse

Pain medicine is definately a very subjective thing. Above, we have one patient who thinks fentanyl is the bomb and below, one who thought they were shitty. A good doctor will work with a patient to see what works best. It horrible to me to hear that doctors who took the hippocratic oath would refuse to treat someone in pain, chronic or otherwise. It should be illegal!
Since my injury in 1999, I have been blessed to have doctors who treat me with respect and prescribe what I need. When I was injured, the Neurosurgeon put me on Demerol and Valimun. The next doctor gave me Oxy. I have had a doctor, a GP, for the last five years, that gives me Methadone, Morphine, and Valium. This combination works well. I don't get high per se, but when it comes to chronic pain, I can live with not getting "high', but I cannot live with the pain.
It amazes me that people get away with pharmacy hopping. In my area, if you walk into a doctors office as a new patient and ask for pain meds, they pharmacy check you. So, unless you've went to a pharmacy somewhere out of the state, your more than likely gonna get busted. I guess every place is different. I cannot say that it is that way everywhere in NC, but in my area, it is.
I hope you can find a doctor that will treat you like a human being. Most pain management speacilist, of course, will treat your pain. But, they are usually more expensive and their policies (designed to keep them out of jail, sadly to say) are cumbersome.

I didnt ask for anything by name, he already left the room and was done with me. The nurse came in right as i was leaving and asked if that was it. I said my back was bad, i wasnt going to see my PCP for another week so i asked if i could be percribed pain meds. The nurse asked what, i said whatever he feels is best. He asked what i have responded well to, i said hydrocodone. He came back and said he doesnt perscribe pain meds for this. However i was quite confused when i got home and realized something. He didnt do an MRI!! I have had back problems sense i was 15 (skateboarding) and he took an Xray and left it at that. Is this normal? I had been to a spine specialist two years ago who had me get an MRI, at the time he said the discs in my lower back were compressed and wrote me a script for T3's.

I havent actualy asked for anything stronger then hydrocodone. Well i have twice (for percocet) when i was in REALLLLLY bad condition just befor christmas but that was it. I would actualy be thrilled with 7.5mg hydro's however i have purposely stayed away from oxy because of a tendancy to take it to often (4-5 times a day). It might not sound like often for some people but i really try not to take it too much so i stick to 5-6 pills a day (when i had it).
My back isnt that bad though thats for sure. Some weeks, or even months i feel completely fine and others i feel absolutely terrible. If it ever got that bad i dont know if i would have a choice other then to go to a pain management doc but right now im trying really hard not to do that (sense it is not constant).

SOmetimes i can take ibuprofen, others it feels like it tears my stomach apart. Would aleive be another Anti Inflammatorie? Does any one know a good one?

Beleive it or not, Ibuprofen is the shit for pain... The 800mg ones. You will not any type of feeling whatsoever but good is good for pain. I didn't know this till about a weeka go when my fent patches and soma wernt working, and fuck me if it didn't help like 5x! For sure try one, surly your doc will give you that lol.
Whats your condition anway?
I got a slipped/herniated disc in my lower back and am currently on Fentanyl patches, 3x soma day, and lortab. My doc wouldn't give shiiiiiiiiat, but i went to my family docotr and got all the above. All my orthopedic surgeon DR would do is give me useless ass vicodin!!!
