? for sniffers- Do you swallow?

Usually within a few minutes of sniffing a line of smack I get the urge to swallow the gob that it created. I try to hold off because the way I understand it the h is absorbed much better through the nasal membrane than through the stomach. My buddy says it doesn't matter but I'm pretty sure it does. Otherwise we might as well just eat the junk which I thought hardly works at all.

I think if you take H orally (or swallow like you said), it's just metabolized into morphine before it even reaches the brain, and is just like taking oral morphine. I think you'd still get some effects from it, but it would be just like taking oral morphine. It would be a waste. If you're going to snort, I guess you should hold it like you do.

I'm like you Dan, I never wanted it to go down my throat because I considered it wasted. I have a great sniffin' nose. I can do a line and suck it up real hard, and I don't know where it goes but it usually won't drip down for a long time. I've always loved snorting drugs and even though I shoot my dope sometimes I never went to shooting full time and abandoned snorting altogether. I love it... There have been times when something was wrong with my nose and the line went directly down my throat, but for some reason after the first line, the rest of them don't do that. They get stuck.

I wish I could see what the fuck was going on up there...

Shit bored, if I had anything like that I would've already taken it to the pawnshop. Some day I'd like to try that though...

Papa Verine, you are correct in your assumptions - most people snort lines the wrong way. The best way is to sniff softly so that it stays up in your nasal cavity and doesn't drip down your throat. Too many try to go after the lines like a vacuum and sound like a leaf blower in the process which makes it just drip down your throat and reduce the efficiency.
