well its been a good run, but now it is time to kick. now that my funds have ran out, i have to prepare for the ride to sobriety, and it's going to be a rocky one. I have been steady using roxies for a few months daily. i don't have a super bad habit maybe 100-150 mgs of oxycodone daily.
it won't be the worst detox i've ever been through but every one sucks. i am semi prepared for it, i have a few morphine pills( about 150mgs worth so i will taper down using them. i plan in drinkin some vodka for the next few days as well to calm my nerves and help me sleep. I am looking for a few xanax to help me out too but i havent had any luck finding any. i have about 20$ for w/d supplies and i have to make it work out cause i have class next week and i need to be able to get through the week.
my last dose was today i banged a couple 30's, so mentally i am already dreadin the detox. Does anyone have any pointers on how to get through this with as little pain as possible and quickly? i read the sticky about taking otc stuff like benadryll and vitamins, but is there anything else that might help??? any ideas would be appreciated cause this weekend is going to suck.

Good luck to you. It sounds sort of stupid but my best tip is to do your best to stay calm mentally. There is a large psychological part to detoxing. That isn't to make light of the experience because it does fucking suck. But if you let your emotions get away from you, you compound the misery. So try to focus on other things. When I'm going through wd's I try to convince myself I'm sick... like I have a flu. I don't focus on the fact that I'm out of drugs because that wakes up the dragon in my head that starts obsessing on scoring. Treat yourself like a sick patient. I basically get into bed, and watch a lot of cheesy television shows. Be sure to eat and drink. Go easy on your taper and focus on how you'll feel in a few days. You can do this :)

until i got on a script i must have done 30-40 hardcore rattles. from anything like a teenth a day down to minimum of half a gram a day. belive it or not you actually get used to doing a rattle as in i could hammer the gear for 3-4 months, loose my job, and id just face up to the fact that its rattle time.
definately eat and drink.
it might seem like you are trying to eat cardboard but just eating and drinking makes it so much easier on your body(and your body wont punish you as hard, re-adjusting back to no-opiate life)
i shit you not when i say my body was so used to having to rattle i wouldn't even get a dodgy stomach/dihorrea. the only symptoms were fucked up sleep - as in i could only sleep 60-90 mins per night and the craving mentally
so my advise for an easier rattle without any kind of narcotics at all is: try and eat and drink and stay strong in your head remembering that it'l get easier
ive bin a smackhead for 11 years so its not like i dont know what im talking about.
so good luck and i hope you dont suffer

Good luck.
The thread right before this is my journey of detoxing off of heroin and methadone. Its nothing special, but if you ever want to read about someone going thru the same thing as you, hit the thread up.
Not that it ends well. Well, its still in progress. Heh.
Good Luck. If you need someone to talk to, I am here. I stay up all night, every night, so I am always around if anyone needs so a shoulder to cry on...hit me up.
You CAN do it!!

Don't forget the loperamide/Immodium trick. Search the site---you'll find that's it's an old junky trick that can really help when you're strapped and have nothing else. In a nutshell, it has a lot of the same properties as an opioid, except it can't cross the blood-brain barrier, but does act on certain receptors and can provide some relief. You gotta take large doses, but it can also have the added benefit of preventing the runs from w/d. Again---search the site, there's been threads up the wazoo about it.
