back on methadone AGAIN

I swear I cant escape this shit. Over the last 6 months I went thru 2 PM docs and now Im going to a med. assistant. Dont get me wrong now, I love this dude. In 3 weeks he's given me 2 RXs fer morphine IR 15mgs 90count, morph.60mgs. ER 90 count, 30mg oxyIR 90 count, and now methadone 30mgs. a day 90 count. He was pushing Fent. REAL hard but I simply cant afford it. I've been on and off meth around 6 or 7 times now and I cant stand the shit long term but it seems to be the most realistic for me as far as pain managment goes and cost as well, dirt friggin cheap.

Hopefully I'll be able to control it better too cuz I burn thru anything else waayy too fast. Granted as soon as I got home I took 30mgs. and shot 40 to get started but in the long haul I really do think it'll better. Problem is I'm addicted to the needle and the rush, both of wich with methadone destroys your veins faster than Tar.

Has anyone else had this work out better for them for pain management AND replacement?

Well bro,'done didn't work for me,but I have seen it work for a lot of folks.It's cheap and offers good pain relief, which can give you a little stability in your life.

You love the needle and got a script for morphine IR's. Why didn't you stick with that? From what i understand morphine is dirt cheap too.

And did you get the brown 15mg morphine IR's? I love those for IV'ing, i always think thats probably what morphine looks like after being extracted from opium and before being turned into H

In the past, fewer times than more, its helped bring some form of stability back into my life. Lately as in the past few years I seem to be spinning faster and faster into a brick wall that basically encompasses my addiction and its driving me so deep inside myself and completely insane I feel like any day now Ima gunna fukin pop and make an even bigger mess everywhere than I already have.

Miracle in pill form? Why the hell not.

Yeah, I've got all kinds of shit rolling around in my head as regards this thread, as it's kind of my story, last few years...and I too, finally got V.A. doc to perscribe me methadone pills, for similar reasons, but mostly to get off street dope, and thought I had scored, but at that point, I had zero self-control, so I couldn't *do* just the 50mg a day he had perscribed, and like *so* many other people, I then found myself both back on heroin, *and* doing the methadone...so after a year or two of jacking around, I finally went back on the damned old clinic system, since they kind of "control" your dose for you, ha ha...

Then got my life kind of in order, then have been doing more or less "slow detox" tho it's insanely fast to EDS believers, but it's kind of old school: take a few months, then get off the shit...so far so good, so regardless of reasons for doing it--pain, addiction, it doesn't matter: try this, and if it gets bad, there's always the clinic...

Best wishes tho, this can be really frustrating, I know...heartbreaking, really, at times, as we can't help but get our hopes up, once in a while, that either our dose will work right "this time," or that we can get off it altogether: tell me about it, have spent a lifetime doing just what you are going thru...w/occasional interludes of--relative--sanity...
