I requested Vicoprofen in lieu of Vicodin because a) They're all 7.5s (I always end up with 5 mg Vicodins because of my size) and b) I can double up without the risks associated with acetaminophen. Unfortunately, taking 1 isn't enough, and 2 makes me sick to my stomach. I've never gotten sick off of plain ibuprofen. Does anyone know why these make me nauseated? They don't come in generics. Could that be why?

I don't understand why they give you 7.5 profens but only 5 in the regular vics??? I am wrong in assuming when you say "request" you mean you "request" them from real docs? But normally if im taking low doses at 7.5-15mgs at a time and not redose after 4 hours the effects can be nauseating.

Vicoprofen only comes in 7.5 mg. ;) I requested it when my doctor was writing me a pain script. He asked if I'd ever taken Vicodin -- I said yes but that I would prefer Vicoprofen because I drink several times a week.

Today, I had 120 7.5/200mg Vicoprofens filled. The first of the month, I had 120 10/500mg Hydrocodone tabs. Previous to that, I had 120 10/325mg Percocets. I have been on one constant buzz... :)

My doc isn't apt to offer any form of oxycodone. He seems to be paranoid about the public's paranoia regarding oxy.
Nope, it's 90 watson lortab 10's and 90 mallinkart lortab 5's a month for me, (plus my mscontin) as far as the eye can see.....
I've had to cut back on the mscontin lately because of the early-morning nausea and vomiting it seems to cause when I take morphine regularly. Which means the slack has to be taken up by hydrocodone and MJ. I've managed to avoid drinking any tea for a couple of months since the morphine in that is just as apt, if not moreso, to cause vomiting incidents and no amount of phenergan seems to protect me with any certainty against this nasty and disruptive side effect.....
I'd be a lot better off if there were no stigma about oxy, fentanyl, dilaudid or other options less likely to make me sick at the doses I need to properly manage my chronic pain.....and I'm getting increasingly beaten to shit trying to juggle all these different factors. I've been in WAY too much pain this past month and it's really hard to take, but on the other hand it's impossible to be there to take care of my wife and baby when I'm stuck in the bathroom puking my guts out!

still i don't understand why he wouldn't just prescribe 7.5/500 lortabs if hes worried about your drinking. obviously the hydro doesn't mean shit to him.
maybe youre lobbing the answer at me, but its bouncing off my head.
