CA i am not up on any of the subs pesonally but the patch is fentanyl not methadone and a 25 is not very strong for somebody with a raging habit

I mean in supplemant to a low dose of methadone, like boosting first days 30ms's and for a 72 hours of that incredibly low dose... I mean, I'm going to maintenance, but hate that hell in the beginning; thus I thought to self-medicate myself a little to keep me in somewhat good shape...

Thanks,

I am worried about that swithing period... as I have been on bupe switch from street, and it was hell: damn first 4mg, then 6 and then 12 (in that latter it started to give me relief)... all of those were once a day doses and only once a day doses. They fucking loved to tease us...

The 25 mcg/hr. 2.5mg total 72 hour ones seem like they will help WDs alot to me. Have NOT tried yet tho.

CA, What dose of subo are you on now. When you switch to meth maintenence what dose will you be given, prob 20-30mg's per day at first I assume? 25mcg patch should help if not eliminate withdrawals for you, depending on your tolerance. Fentanyl is a potent drug and great for people who are opoid tolerant. If 1 patch does not cut the WD's to a tolerable level you could safely wear two patches for that 1st 3 days. If ur using the Duragesic brand no problem with them sticking, Mylan are awful in terms of sticking. Make sure to wash area with warm water only, shave any hair (for better absorption) and cover with a bio-occlusive dressing like tegaderm ( they use them to cover IV's) and can be bought at any medicaly supply store, & depending where u live some pharmacies carry them. You could also use tape. Don't use paper though, if it lifts it will take the patch right off with it. Use transpore. Switching is hard, I know, and WD's suck! You mentioned that you wanted to avoid the WD's to avoid slipping if I read correctly, if not, ignore this..you will most probably get a buzz from the patch similar to whatever it is you are abstaining from by going the MM route, just know it up front and hopefully it won't rigger you. Chances are small, esp compared to the risk of slipping to eliminate withdrawals. best of luck. I've been where you are a few times and am grateful I have not been there in a while. Feel free to e-mail me if you would like to rap about it, . Was on Methadone maint. for a few years, & now many years later I'm now a terminal patient with chronic pain and am on Fentanyl patches and some other RX's for my pain. Just curious if u will be getting dosed daily or are you doing the LAAM route?

Hey, i'm legaly prescribed fentanyl, and like the first week or two of wearing it, it didn't help my WDs a god damn bit! Which surprised the hell out of me. Especialy after reading how strong Fentanyl can be! I figured wearing it would ATLEAST give a very tolerant person ease of WD freak outs and pain!

Now after about 15 days of wearing them, after about 4 of themw ere used or whatever. THeys tarted helping. ESPECIALY when I slapped an another for a few hours as a kick-'er-iner :p

What strength are you prescribed? When I used fent patches for WD's i had to use the 100mcg/hr(10mg) patch. It started to work about 6 hours after slapping it on and for about a day and a half felt WD releif.
