Is there anyway to download large publications to the site?

A friend of mine who worked at a drug company downloaded

a bunch of very interesting articles from pain and drug periodicals

but the megabitage would be like 44 MEGA bites just for one article

seems a little heavy huh.

why not just post links instead? besides, copyright infringement might be an issue if someone else's material was put on here. like ZK said, check with an admin.

Links wont work, the articles are from professional periodicals that want

like $750.00 for a subscription. Maybe I'll look into zipping.

If you have the articles, why can't you just upload them somewhere else and link to it?

I was kind of wondering about this too. I have been amassing a large collection drug related ebooks like Oxy by Otto Snow, for example. I have hundreds of them - everything from marijuana cook books to very scientific synthesis chemistry stuff to novels about drugs to the entire Burroughs collection. I know copyright would be an issue but I don't want to use rapidshare or anything because it would be a huge file and someone may only want one book.

So I have a question for the mods -> If I were to make a website or blog that hosted the files, and then add a link to the blog here, would that be acceptable?

If not that is okay, I just wanted to share the knowledge.

^^ I think what you can possibly do is this. If you donate a certain amount of money to the site, you can have a link to your URL on the Home Page of this site. I'm not sure of the amount---maybe an Admin can tell you. But I will also look into it.

I don't mind donating, but I don't know if the admins will want a link to blatently pirated material on the front page. But if they do it sounds good to me.

upload file to rap1dshare.com (replace the 1 with an i) use winrar to compress file you can even password protect the
file and msg people who request to download the file to their profile here since it's not easily viewable
by nonmembers.
