I came across this when researching something and found it very interesting and havn't seen anything posted about it here yet... If someone has already posted about it don't mind this thread.

I hope this makes it to the market and starts being prescribed to Fentanyl patch users who need to use multiple high dose patches along with other strong doses of opiates. I really do think I could benefit from this patch, especially because my now retarded tolerance. I'm on the 5mg(50mcg/hr) fentanyl patch along with the 12mcg/hr patch(ten of the 50s and 5 of the 12s per month) with roxicodone and methadone. and my toler is just getting even higher every other month it seems, and my pain is just getting so bad I can't stand it. I really hope this makes it to the homes of chronic pain patients...SOON!

I just found out about this and found it interesting and fiured I'd post about ti here in case others don't know about it and are interested.

I just heard of a painkiller made from fugu toxin, Puffer fish poison.

supposedly works real good and lasts like two weeks.

Interesting, I see this is the same company working on the abuse-proof extended release version of Oxycodone; Remoxy I think they call it.

I've heard of this. It sounds yummy, but can you imagine how high the OD risk is, especially for the uninformed (who will probably put the whole 7 day patch in their mouth at once an massively OD).

Sufentanil is 1000x the potency of morphine, 10x the potency of fentanyl.

Hehe, me wants one! Though 7 days? What about those patients w/ 'sensitive' or problematic skin? After wearing the Duragesic for the 3 days I now have a slight rash on the application spot. AND IT ITCHES LIKE CRAZY!!! I'm afraid to tell the doc tho, because unless he changes to 48 hrs. per patch... he'll switch me FROM the patch, then what? I can't see OC 80's doing very good after being on Fent for 3 months, sheet! It's always something ain't it?
