Ok I dex a lot and always get screwed up. Tonight I can't seem to peak even though I took it like 2 hours ago. Could the fact that over the course of the day I've taken 14 Ultram have anything to do with it?

I want to do it again I always find it interesting that while u might build a slight tolerance to DXM it doesn't take that long for it to go down and it's never that strong of a tolerance to begin with.

I always do at least 300 mgs and that's usually the dose I go with because I take Robotussin cough gels and they have 20 15 mg gel caps in the bottle. Trust me if I could find K I'd get it but it's hard when u live in the midwest. It's strange but everyone I know except one person that's tried DXM has liked it. I've been doing for about 4 years now. The highest dose I've ever taken was 600 mgs.

i was always of the opinion that if i couldn't find any *real* drugs
then there was probably a good reason why i shouldn't be getting high that day/night

the "triple c's" which i think are some kinda cold pill, the HUGE handfuls of benadryl, the no-doze,
chugging bottles of nyquil, smoking banana peels (:D), the glade and assorted aerosol cans, etc
i stuck with shit where the sole purpose was to get you fucked up
if it was NOT a mind-altering chemical but instead some random shit being used as such...
well then fuck it!

there is one exception to this:
when i was 12 or 13 i huffed freon out of a neighbors air conditioner
it got me high as fuck and it lasted bout 5 minutes, so of course i did it a second time
the second time i wasn't so lucky-
i had a fuckin seizure and my friends freaked out and ran
leaving me there to flop around in the neighbors yard
i woke up alone and realized that during the seizure
not only had i bitten my tongue hard enough to draw blood but i also pissed myself
never did *that* again...

and the cough gels are a good idea too, cuts out the damn syrup; it's funny b/c buddies of mine that use dxm are split on the syrup issue: some love it, don't mind it going down, and even think it tastes *good,* while others hate it, and *have* to use the gels otherwise they'll probably puke...

i'm sure u know this too since u got experience w/ it,, but whatever u do, stay away from formulations of dex that have "CPM" (chlorpheniramine maleate) or too much guaifenesin...the CPM can actually kill u, believe it or not,, and i think the guaifenesin won't *kill* you, but it will be a puke-fest and feel like your stomach is trying to digest razor blades

Yea I understand pills were my first love so I guess I'll I'll always be a pill popper at hear. But I do love me some coke and H also. I like dextroamphetamine more than methamphetamine because it doesn't last as long but is still intense at the rite doses.

there was some special on tv a while back about the computer duster,, and apparently there's like 4 or 5 different "formulas," but the story was about this girl, she was 20 and in college, and she had huffed the duster for almost a year, when she started getting bad shit happening to her...all sorts of malaise and lethargy, like un-explained illnesses, and she ended up destroying her kidneys, almost to the point of dialysis...it sucked cause she was saying that b/c of that shit, and b/c the kidneys were damaged to such an extent,, she has no control over when she needs to take a piss, and literally wears diapers...i shit u not; a 20 yr old girl in college that has to wear a disposable diaper for the rest of her life....i was like, oh shit, that's fuckin serious, u know?

and the thing that sucks is that kids dont think about shit like that; they think it's harmless, and worst case scenario u pass out...

Then after he gave me 2 free over a few hours then sat down next to the kid who sold me the original geltabs of what he was calling E or MDMA I found out he had a clandistine lab, didn't really know what he was taking about outside of some recipes he found on the net ect... at that point i believed the guy who told me his pills were just dxm or a mix. I still enjoyed the bump of K the dxm kid gave me and then went to look for the real E guy. After all that I wound up smoking crack with the E dealer and doing lines of H. Kind of a long night.

The alarms were going off in the place and they had the FD there and they didn't care but this was in pre-01 days in nyc soo

I went to this party with both of these kids, the E and DXM guys. Funny part about it is the DXM kid left to go to another club early in the night and left with the keys to the car I came up in. Well make a long story short he passed out in the car I rode up in and set the alarm off and it killed the battery. In a panac(and being a spineless pussy ass fuck) he put his stash under the seat of the car. Well after dropping this kid off, then cleaning the car out with my brother, I found a baggie with 2 different kinds of E(not his DXM/other research chem mix) totalling 15 pills, a jar of K and a jar of rush(nasty acitone smelling shit). My bro was like maybe we should give them back and I told him fuck that, it would have been on you if you got pulled over so its all about the splits. Sorry I am on tha memory lane drunken on and on thing

DXM is strange because only about 1/5 people experience euphoria from it. I'm one of those people, luckily. Sometimes, when combined with weed and a little dope, it's the best high in the world. If I could get ketamine, I would. Unfortunately it died with rave.

That's the same with me it's not really a rush or anything but I feel amazing from it and the happiness doesn't seem fake like some drugs will make you feel. Even though you feel very chemically altered with it. Shit I want some now. Plus I'm sick as fuck anywayz there's nothing else. I took 4mgs of sub and that's the last of it.

Last time I had a bad cold bout 6 months ago I was taking Robotussin. I wasnt using the cup, just swigging a "normal" dose. Fell asleep for about an hour, and couldnt remember taking the dose, so I took another. Seems my "swigs were way over the teaspoon, but taking 2 in an hours time had me feeling strange. I told myy roomate how I felt and he said "oh, your Robo frying". Didnt dig it at all. Upon reflection my cold didnt seem to bother me at that time though.

As for computer dusters, I went through a can of Dust Off in an hour or so bout 13 years ago. Laid in my bed and drooled for hours. My wife new sumthing was up, but just shook her head. Wham Wham is what they called it. Pretty intense. Nitrous is better imo. I wont huff shit no more. Got to keep what cells I have intact!

Well, at first I definitely knew it was not MDMA (or anything near it for that matter) because when I was awaiting the onset I felt NOTHING... then, approximately 2.5 hours later - while DJing and watching a mini-tricycle race that was going down to the left of me within the outside area - I felt like I had chugged a couple 40 oz.'s all of a sudden. Luckily I had already been spinning for quite some time and my set was coming to a close, but shortly thereafter I was SLAMMED into an incompasitated state; complete with my record box, I remember sitting down next to a chain linked fence as I was unable to walk, and essentially remaining there for HOURS. I had a hard time speaking, couldn't really see, and was burning up - it was February and after a few hours it was raining in Oakland, and there I was sitting down with my jacket off and steam literally rising off of my overheating body. I somehow was able to exit the massive hours after I first sat in my spot and I can remember having my feet feel like they were 10 feet long. The feeling, though diminishing in due time, lasted over 2 days. I took a 'Green Triangle', and let me tell you, TO ME it was crazy! This was my first DXM experience, and to make matters worse I had not eaten since lunch in order to get more of a "punch" from what I thought was going to be MDMA. Needless to say, this was probably the worst a) surprise I've had in terms of drugs, and b) drug experience I really have ever had. I have taken DXM afterwards and although it is not on the top of my list, I rather enjoyed it in the subsequent experiences comparative to this original "genesis DXM" experience of mine.

Through word of mouth, after the fact, I was told that the pill was DXM. Furthermore, Dancesafe.org received the same type of pill that I was given that night and here are the test results from the archive :

Definitely was not having it! I chugged a few Corona's before and during my funky house/breaks set, and luckily the DXM didn't hit me until the very end of my set - so at least that worked out. I honestly don't think I would've have been able to function behind the decks AT ALL in the state I entered due to that damn pill. AND YES! I was like "WHAT THE HELL?!?" when I started to feel that pill! I had spun and loved playing on MDMA when I could, so to get that curveball... WOW... all I can say is at least it was at the end of my set!

Shortly thereafter I learned how valuable opiates (namingly Morphine at the time) could be behind the turntables... and that's a whole other thread, yar!

K's weird like that

in my experience, there seems to be a definite scene that goes along with K (different from the one that encompasses other club drugs and hallucinogens) and the people involved are usually very strange individuals...

they usually smoke weed and do K...surprisingly enough, they're satisfied with just the two...

and sometimes you'll ask a couple people and within minutes u get your first quarter gram,, other times people have either never heard of it, or don't know where to find it, or something along those lines...

K people are usually very ego-centric and uppity about their precious tranq too

and i've mentioned this before, but i'll mention it again-- K is 100 percent addictive and the psychological cravings can absolutely be as intense as those of crystal or crack cocaine...obviously you're not gonna be addicted from a K-hole every now and again, but if someone goes clubbing frequently and doses about a half gram each time, give or take, K's like coke in the sense that the addiction is very insidious, but once it's there, it's there...
and a big "rationale" that K-heads use to justify more and more is that they were on the cusp of some great revelation, but as soon as they were about to be enlightened,, the symptoms dissipated, hence they have to "go back" and "finish what they started." and the cycle repeats itself...now don't get me wrong, i am very familiar with K, have used it extensively over the years, BUT I have enough sense to know that many times what you're seeing under the influence, while entertaining, has jack shit to do with the "inner-workings" or "cosmic interconnectedness" or any other tree-hugging hippie nonsense that addicts will swear on...

K is capable of revelations, and K can teach u a great deal about your mind and consciousness, BUT you have to be smart enough to weed out the peripheral disturbances from the actual teachings...i hope that makes some sense to you guys??

They become very ego-centric, and anti-social...A simple coincidence of a moment of synchronicity to a K head will become the most important "4th dimensional signal" that they need to do more K...things like that...they also get very paranoid and a common one is they think everyone is somehow plotting to stop them from using K...speech becomes inconsistent, and weird phrases and words are used...

like when we are in no mood to talk, we'll say we're just being quiet, or not in the mood to talk, a k head will say some shit like he or she is not "talkable." little red flags like that, that can be signs of another mental illness coming to the surface,, and like other drugs in its class, K can bring on full fledged psychosis, and all sorts of mental disorders to those who were at risk in the first place...

Lol that's hilarious I've never had the pleasure of meeting one K user so I have no idea how anyone would act on or it not on it. I think I may be the only long term DXM user I know also if you consider 4 years on and off long term. The only time I experience bad side effects thankfully is when I trip too heavy. Like when I took 600 mgs jesus christ that was fucked up. I said the strangest things and I had a lot of CEVs.

k is still very popular over here. i mean in berlin. and london as well as far as i know. friend of mine came to berlin because he wanted to escape from his k addiction in london where him and his friends were doing it every day for over a year.

in my experience, there seems to be a definite scene that goes along with K (different from the one that encompasses other club drugs and hallucinogens) and the people involved are usually very strange individuals...

they usually smoke weed and do K...surprisingly enough, they're satisfied with just the two...

and sometimes you'll ask a couple people and within minutes u get your first quarter gram,, other times people have either never heard of it, or don't know where to find it, or something along those lines...

K people are usually very ego-centric and uppity about their precious tranq too

and i've mentioned this before, but i'll mention it again-- K is 100 percent addictive and the psychological cravings can absolutely be as intense as those of crystal or crack cocaine...obviously you're not gonna be addicted from a K-hole every now and again, but if someone goes clubbing frequently and doses about a half gram each time, give or take, K's like coke in the sense that the addiction is very insidious, but once it's there, it's there...
and a big "rationale" that K-heads use to justify more and more is that they were on the cusp of some great revelation, but as soon as they were about to be enlightened,, the symptoms dissipated, hence they have to "go back" and "finish what they started." and the cycle repeats itself...now don't get me wrong, i am very familiar with K, have used it extensively over the years, BUT I have enough sense to know that many times what you're seeing under the influence, while entertaining, has jack shit to do with the "inner-workings" or "cosmic interconnectedness" or any other tree-hugging hippie nonsense that addicts will swear on...

K is capable of revelations, and K can teach u a great deal about your mind and consciousness, BUT you have to be smart enough to weed out the peripheral disturbances from the actual teachings...i hope that makes some sense to you guys??

anyone who has done K and is familiar w/ it can verify what i say about it's duplicit nature; it can trick u into thinking u need it, and cause a LOT of personality disturbances...very very similar to symptoms acquired by long time users of dextromethorphan, but a little different...

very briefly: K users over time start to believe that everything happens in the world because of them. They become very ego-centric, and anti-social...A simple coincidence of a moment of synchronicity to a K head will become the most important "4th dimensional signal" that they need to do more K...things like that...they also get very paranoid and a common one is they think everyone is somehow plotting to stop them from using K...speech becomes inconsistent, and weird phrases and words are used...

like when we are in no mood to talk, we'll say we're just being quiet, or not in the mood to talk, a k head will say some shit like he or she is not "talkable." little red flags like that, that can be signs of another mental illness coming to the surface,, and like other drugs in its class, K can bring on full fledged psychosis, and all sorts of mental disorders to those who were at risk in the first place...

the revelations about consciousness and the universe both blew my fucking mind and scared me shittless a couple times a day.

the comparatively insignificant time spent outside of the hole gave the illusion that the real world may simply be fleeeting glimpses into something not really important....

i haven't touched it for many years and feel that the cost of my abuse was high, but i also took a lot away from the experience, including the subjective experience of living for billions of years and a gratifying interest in quantum physics.

my life was the lost weekend for 3 years, tussin substituted for alcohol.

my body became magnetic after binging a long time, being close to electronics would screw them up, scramble displays that non-users could view. totally convinced god and satan were testing me every day, priming me to eventually betray christ to fulfill prophecy. almost eveyone i knew had a demon in them.

my brain eventually started hurting, felt 'wet and crackly' after using during the 3rd year, barely any effects followed by horrible depression and that feeling of brain damage. i used to have a photographic memory and real nice iq, now i'm just another burnout. there's no spark in life, even with opiates.

the art and music i created during that time just flowed like someone else was doing it, now i got no creativity. plus, nothing's less glamorous than a tussin addiction, other than maybe huffing.

I used to do DXM back in the 80's....a fresh teenager...
it was a multi day high...
with the psychedelic stuff kicking in after 24 hours for me...
I would have better visuals, on the 2nd night.

but then, I also did a tiny bit of mescaline as a 15 year old and had flashbacks 2-3 times a week in class for almost a month after my initiation into psychedelics besides laughing gas...

my first laughing gas hit as a 7 year old at the dentist amazed me....thats when I remember getting interested in what the adults were doing.

after I turned 19 I pretty much stayed away from cough syrup, after a particular hellish experience with the old psuedo ephedrin dxm mixes...

I stayed away from dxm except for a couple times I used it for cough sickness....

around the age of 33 I started reading about its use for tolerance management with opiates.
and then I found out that the fda had approved a dxm/morphine drug for chronic pain patients.
I was dependent on a host of different opiates from age 23-33....with varying degrees of addiction.
at the point I was at at age 33 was eating some poppy seeds, and getting a tramadol prescription, and ordering codeine from canada....I was not a street drug scenester by this point.
I started using the small amounts of dxm to manage opiate tolerance.

the stuff is amazing with opiates.
in a way it turned my life around....
my brain switched to the on position for a change.

paranormal events took place.
saw some ghosts.
channel'd a spirit...

and came to some realizations about some paranormal events I have been faced with since before my birth....

I used dxm for months and months...
about a year.
usually only taking 120 milligrams or less a day.

but there were the long weekends...
using it with various grey area phen. type compounds.
it seemed to clean alot of psychedelics up a bit, I could go into public on mescaline with no problem.

at this point in time I was a sushi chef....
I would take enough dxm till I had no sense of time...
I was watching my body move, and then thinking about it later..
very strange.
I did sushi and knife work all night long, entertaining guests all night, talking, working, sweating...and loving it.
it was a great period, working on a large dose of dxm...work becomes a different thing.....its not really work...but your transformed reality....molded to your needs.

but that only lasted so long
dxm addiction is strange.

by the time I decided to quit, I needed at least 75 milligrams to feel normal.
there was energy loss, depression, and anti deppressant type of withdrawl symptoms..
spatial disorientation. I felt mentally better actually though within a few days of quitting.

there were some good thing about the dxm, and some bad things.

social situations led to some regrettable incidences.
communications with people about plants and psychedelics suffered a bit as well, I lost some credibility I guess with a few people....they were a bit too serious and paranoid...a bit older than me as well, and didnt really understand a person coming from the cough syrup kid generation...
the much maligned dxm doesnt get too much respect in the entheogen circuit...
but the facts are, it can be one of the strongest entheogens out there.
I hold some dxm experiences as high as some of my mushroom, mescaline, or ketamine experiences.....
they were experiences that in a certian sense, were very similiar.
involved with the same issues of paranormal experience as a child.

I think that the drug could have helped a couple of guys I knew that had pain issues. one guy got his leg cut off.
the other had partial paralysis.
both had nerve pain.
the guy with the missing leg had ghost pain.
he died of a heroin overdose, the state pharmacy board cut his painkillers off after 10 years after his injury.
he did heroin to cope with pain.
about 3 years after he died I learned that DXM can help some people with ghost pain, that dont respond well to painkillers alone.
not only did the state beaurocrats deny a man in pain, but he died trying to fix that pain.

after I quit DXM I used it about once every two weeks, the first night it would get me to a inebriated, but a mild high...the next 2-3 days that one application of DXM would potentiate the opiates I was using on a daily basis.....I would get more out the opiates I was taking...but without suffering the DXM addiction.
then I would lay off for a week, in which my tolerance would rise once again...

I skipped a few months after awhile of this DXM 'chipping"...and one last time I took the stuff, a small dose of just over a 100 milligrams.
it made me sick...oh so sick, from the night, into the morning. no high whatsoever....
a fever the whole time.
and it didnt seem to do anything for my tolerance.
very strange this reaction.
I havnt taken it since...that was over 2 years ago.

I guess I should try nitrous oxide for tolerance augmentation now...

ketamine can be amazing...and help a person when kicking. but it didnt seem to do much for my tolerance.
DXM seems like it lasts much much longer than ketamine anyway...so that is probably part of the reason that DXM seems to help opiate addiction while your still an active addict.

one of the nice things about using DXM when addicted to opiates, is that it can completely turn your bowel movements around...
to where you are having near normal to normal bowel movements...but have a fentanyl patch on for a few days...using some oxy's while maintaining on canadian codeine fix...
and have a normal daily BM...
that is a beautiful thing.

there is more use for DXM than what meets the eye..
its a great cough medicine.
but also has at least 3 differnent medical applications possibly..
and 1 that has already been established and approved of by the FDA.
in the drug known as morphidex...which I think may have been discontinued after all.

I think the drug DXM will be with humans for a long, long time.

people who want to communicate with alien life forms should be introduced to this drug as a training mission.

sounds so similar to me... I too used to play with knives while on dxm lol. I used to work in a shutter factory where plastic molded shutters were spit out of my huge trailer home sized machine that I was running. I was on the line and cutting the sharp edges off with a super sharp blade. It was one fast sharp movement after the other for 6 hrs, then we'd take lunch, have a ham sandwich, drink 4oz and come back to work rocking away at our job for 6 more hours. We (a friend and I did this daily for a long time) would kick ass cutting away all night. We were like robots and we totally enjoyed every minute of it. We worked 12hr shifts at night. The one day I decide not to take any robo I fall asleep in my truck at lunch. I woke up when the rest of the workers got off and I just left. Well I came in the next day without a time card waiting on me and got fired on the spot. :confused:
