The setup:
I was wondering if it is possible to have different withdrawl symptoms from what everyone else seems to have. I had a episode about 4 nights ago in which I awoke with no sensation whatsoever . I tore at my flesh without feeling. My mouth was so dry my tounge stuck to anywhere in my mouth it touched having to be peeled away. I was lost and confused beyond words .I thought I may of OD'ed in my sleep being my last fix was just 1 hour before or I guess I could of had a central abnea episode induced by a respitory depresant or something because right before I woke up my dreams were unparralelled real and eerie. Well since then I decided to stop using (for the time being anyhow), I scared myself good.
The question:
Right now I am somewhere between 72 and 96 hours and my pupils haven't undialated ,I have a enquencable thirst, confusion, low sensation of touch, throbbing localized brain sensation, fatigue , altered perception (vision) , memory loss and loss of coordnation . My girlfriend wants me to see a doctor thinking I caused myself to have a aneurysm from drug abuse, which would of course really suck. However before I do I wanted to see if any of these are typical of anyone elses withdrawl syptoms. I don't want to be forced to go to a doctors just to have them say well you will be fine in 2 days have fun withdrawling junky without insurance heres your $1000 bill.

GO TO THE ER IMMEDIATELY....

Your symptoms are VERY disturbing, to say the least; I wish someone else had seen and responded to this sooner...you must've been given something 'off' in your "meds" and I would say something needs to be done to assess you and prevent any possible permanent effects from this.

And LET US KNOW what happens or what you find out, okay?

good luck and hope everything works out!

I've never had anything like that, my w/d's are usually legs of lead, feel like a peice of bullshit in a stampede, weird taste in mouth(that only tea or pills can wash away) no sleep, etc. I don't know what to say, your symptoms are scary. Have you ever had w/d's before? If they didn't go away I'de see a doc the previous post sounds good to me

Hi Opos,
Firstly hopefully you are feeling better but if you aren't then I think you should see a doctor ASAP, as like the others who have replied to your thread I don't think your symptoms sound typical of opiate withdrawal. Although it has to be said that my own withdrawal experiences are limited to solely to heroin and methadone. I don't think you actually say which opiate you've stopped using?? Maybe there are variations in w/d's depending on the opiate being used (or rather not being used!) I'm no nurse so I don't know.

My withdrawals have always been typical the usual runny eyes, nose, nausea, vomiting, ability to shit through the eye of a needle (can't spell the relevant word which begins with a 'd'), total inability to sleep or sit still, supersonic taste and smell sensitivity, aches pains etc etc.

Also I'm particularly concerned by your description of the 'episode' you had 'about four nights ago' which has scared you enough to stop you using. That doesn't sound at all right either.

The other thing is that when you say 'my pupils haven't undialated' do you mean u have big or small pupils?
Dilated pupils (ie. big pupils) are a sign of opiate withdrawal; whereas constricted pupils (ie. pinprick pupils) are a sign of being under the influence of opiates . In other words your pupils should be undilated.

Yeah I am all right sorry ,I been feeling better.I think I probably got poisoned with something thrown in tainted street product .I am sorry I didn't say of what I was taking , it was powder H I had the episode with and then cut off. I couldn't think ,I felt like I was drowning ,completely out of it like my brain was about ready to bust out of my skull... The wierdness lasted about 6 days and I refused to go to the doctors and it paid off when I felt fine again two days after my GF mounted her concern. I did mean to say pinpoint puplis , not dialated. They never got any bigger ,threw the whole ordeal, like they were locked in opiate mode .To answer another question no, I never had serious withdrawls before , not from anything I don't usually get them and thats why I got super paranoid. Usualy the only H withdrawls I get are poop scooting and agraviation beyond reason. I also only binge use , a couple of weeks or months here and there kind of thing so any withdrawl would be pretty light compared to most. I also would feel stupid if I went to the doctors to find out I just had a brain infection from inhalating things into my sinus cavities , so I was really hesitant to panic too much but I still thought I would ask to calm my nerves.... Yeah well it sorta backfired but I am one stubborn bastard anyhow. Thanks for the concern I just had a bunch of holiday stuff to get out of the way or I would of responded sooner.
