Okay, I have a stupid question. How much would it be to physically go into a Western Union and send $250 within the US?
The reason I'm asking you all instead of a) looking it up online or b) calling a local Western Union is that I tried both already.
Online only gives online transfer prices, not, in-person.
When I called the Western Union and asked, their answer, I shit you not, was "it's expensive honey. It's way cheaper to send it to Mexico. Why don't you do that?"
AARRRRGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!

J5 is probably right I think its a percent to wire cash. Its been a few years since I have done it but its kind of like those coin star machines % wise, if not more.
it costs around 40 bux.
god damn do they still carry it by shotgun wagon through the desert? for that price they sure as hell better
Swim was always sending bucks to Kazakstan. And they charge a % of what your sending....The more you send ,the more it will cost...
$250 will probably cost you around $25 I think, unless they have a minmum charge...And i dont know US prices...

was swim getting some fine fine birka hanka (to the rest of the board - it's nothing 'sexual' btw) for all that money? :p
no but my question is serious, raz - is there high quality opium and/or hash over there?
i've litlle knowledge of that country or their 'scene'
(btw i'm well aware of their proximity to Afghanistsn an' all, but believe you me - alll those countries - their not all the same: - 1 -Usbekistan - you can smoke a splif with a cop any time of day 2 - Tadjikistan - they chop your hands off for a half ounce of grass posession and your head will roll (quite literally) if iif they find you having ANYTHING to do with heroin (or so i hear))
That's why i'm asking
Very sorry for hijaking your thread - Lortabitha, but that subject interests me quite a bit
I believe we actually had someone(maybe Turkish) that had a work posting in sunny Kazakstan and claimed their was plenty of good, cheap dope there(as you'd expect),but he didn't mention social attitude or legal ramifications.
I think the guy used the name major tom.
Maybe search under that term.
He's the only primary source on dope in Kazakstan that I've come across.

YESSUM. Stagecoach and horses and sweaty, whip wielding hill billies...
I think it costs about the same in person as online, but if you pay cash it will help you save on credit card cash transaction type charges, which are an additional financial *bitch slap.*
I like Moneygram better, I think it was a little less expensive and you could do cash transactions with no ID up to a certain amount of $$.

Ya, moneygram is pretty chill. $12 for under 200, 24 for 200 - 400 etc. And you got that at every Albertsons/longs/rite aid/save mart, etc. But you got the stupid red phone, and then you still gotta talk to a real customer service person. And theres usually only 4 employees total who know how to do the transaction (which is lame, cuz it looks easy as hell). And I'm just waiting for the day the 'system' is down, or that phone is outta order, god forbid. I used to have dope deals riding on that thing regularly, so I'd run into the grocery store sweaty as hell just drug outta bed. I always wondered what the cuzt.service clerks used to think I was sending all this money for. They musta knew something was up...
But anyway, J5 is spot on. Back in spring I sent $250 to so. california and I think the total was around $280.
Feel free to shoot any extra bills to your partner BP, money's gonna be tight for a while! ;)
For real though, I have no idea where my next fix is coming from ($ for fix that is), and thats a shitty feeling.

you don't need ID for WU transfers under $1k either, just gotta do the test question bullshit. And I'll bet sending 250 by WU is 25-30 bucks

From all my online research, I've discovered it makes a huge difference depending on what you're doing/paying for. Several companies (such as car loan type places) have contracts with Western Union, and you don't pay a lot to pay to those companies.
If you are putting it into someone's bank account, it takes about 3-5 days, and that's around $12, I think.
There is also an "overnight" option that is a little cheaper. It's not instant, but available first thing in the morning (probably whenever the Western Union place opens).
The most expensive is their most popular transaction - people sending money to individuals that need it NOW. That seems to start at $20 and go up, depending on the amount you are sending.
I think I know more about Western Union now than any subject I took at school!!!

oh yea i forgot to mention that i sent the money so it would get there NOW. it was for dope. oh and also i forgot the 40 bux was the extra money i had to send to have the stuff overnited back to me, not the money transfer fee. i dont remember what the money transfer fee was but i think it was less than 20 bux. sorry for the confusion.
