no more needle scars?

this lady from my done clinic was commenting on my nasty tracks/scars
they are pretty bad, i was shooting up for 10yrs and am only 23
but i've shot up a grand total of ONCE since february
and i kinda want to get rid of the stupid scars so i don't automatically
show people that i'm a fuckin junkie the second they see me
even people who wouldn't know tracks if they saw someone with a needle in their arm,
even they say "what's wrong with your arms? what's on your hands?"
when i was banging i didn't give a rats ass, now i guess i'm starting to give a fuck

anyways, this lady i was talking to said she was shooting up coke and h for 30+ yrs
and she has NO fucking tracks, well they are there
but you gotta really look AND you gotta know what you're looking for
that's what i want
she said, arnica cream/gel and vitamin e oil
slather the shit on every night until its greezy and slimy

what is the general consensus on that combination?
i bought it from "nutrition world" : arnica gel and pure vitamin e oil
and i made my arms and hands nasty with the shit
i figure it can't hurt to try, but i want to know whether or not to expect *real* results

for info, i never hit my legs bad enough to scar and i NEVER hit my neck not once
all my tracks are on my arms, my hands are the worst
my feet are kinda bad but even my sandals cover up the scars so don't care much there
got big purple lines and indentations from mild staph and absesses, white scars too
this went on for longer than i intended it to...

Shelley, the tendency to scar is one of those inherited things, so generally you're SOL if you have bad scars.
That said, good nutrition goes a long way in helping you heal well from the inside out. The gels you bought can't hurt. .I have read of a silicone substance, I think it comes in sheets like papers. You put that on your scars and over time, they become less noticeable.
Try Googling improving scars..

arnica cream helps while youre using or when the tracks are healing but i dont know about already healed ones. but when that shit does work, it works fuckin great.

we aren't sure of my due date b/c god only knows date of conception
i got my first ultrasound too late, and as a junkie i NEVER got my peroid so i wasnt sure
we got a pool set up on when the kid will be born, theres $75 in already

As far as the scar go, the vit e and all that helps but if they are already pretty old then only time. They wont dissapear but will get way less noticable with time.

I asked about that but it wasn't doable when you have scars on your inner arm/elbows like I do.. and the damn arnica does nothing for 'healed scars'..
Guess having 2 tats on that place would make things kinda obvious too.. But it might work on the hands.

I am not sure if I know you, but I have not been around in awhile. Anyway, I had some nasty black looking marks that ran along the back of my arm and I used Vit E oil and Cocoa butter. It took some time, but in less than a year, they were almost gone. I just made a damn daily habit of it, 3 times a day and always after a shower. Try it if you can get it and congrats on the baby. I hope he/she is born healthy and you both do great. I am sure we will hear soon. My son was born on Sept. 21st a few years back and I just had a birthday on the 8th. Virgos are good people!
If you have any questions, medical and such, I am an RN and worked in Pediatrics, from newborns to older and then in the ER. Now I work in Harm Reduction and happen to work with some pregnant Mom's. So if ever you need anything, don't hesitate to ask.

SWIM had permanent make up done professionally for a session every 6 weeks for a few months. Skin color tattoo was matched to skin tone. As long as no new damage is done things look great! Good luck and congrats on your new little one!:)

I haven't hit a vein in over 20 years, but at the time my tracks were pretty bad. Now, however, you really have to look to see them. Hopefully, for you, they will fade over time and not be near as noticible. And, I've haven't heard, but if you've had that little one already, crongrats!!!!!

That sounds interesting. Permanent make-up might be a good option for Shelley and others here.
But to do you do when you have ' little holes' in your arm, literally.
I have some sort of highway/subway to my vein in my innerarms - caused by longterm use of the same veins - and even though I haven't shot for almost a decade now and the scar has gotten skin-coloured instead of dark over the years it's remains a hole.. I wish they'd invent some kind of skincoloured 'medical clay' to fill up heroin-subway stations.. cos that hole makes it pretty obvious what I've been up to in the past. Especially combined with a few surfaced veins..
