In an effort to wake myself up out of a nod that crept up on me at work and was completely unexpected I began doing some heavy breathing. It wasn't realy that heavy but for the state I was in with my respritory system so slowed as it was It seemed like heavy breathing. My theory was that if I increased the oxygen in my blood that the effects of the nod would start to wear off. I was wrong. Instead I damn near passed out on the asphault during my cigarrete break. Has anyone else ever come up with this bright idea?
This could have actually been enjoyable, the passing out part, if I didnt have to go back to work and tenderize one hundred and fifty chix breasts.

Getting dosed at work is a bad idea, I used to but I kept falling over. So I retired.

I love getting wrecked at work, except having to go out for a smoke every 5 fucking min. Plus the high doesn't last long when I have to deal with customer.

maybe putting a plastic bag over your head would've helped you stay awake better than hyperventilating

Yess you do start alot of threads. Oh well I don't mind either way. It's better to have alot of threads than a little. It adds up to more reading fun, most of the time!

Did you try it when in a position to try to enjoy it?
I also want to reiterate that I wouldnt recommend it it seemed dangerous.

probally has something to do with the speed you smoke compounded with the opie's
hyperventilating isnt my cup of tea. its a good way to see if you have an underlying neurological problem (if it triggers a seizure), other than that ...its like you said opie, dangerous

Yea.. the smoking would have deprived you of oxygen... so nearly passing out makes some sense.
On the subject of "noding". I guess I don't really see what everyone gets so excited about. I mean, I would nod all the time when I was taking Norco, way before my Oxy days. And then into the Oxycontin days I would nod anytime I took a bit more than I needed to for pain. But my point is, unless it was close to bed time - nodding always seem more of an annoyance then a pleasurable experience. But maybe thats just me. I have a wife and three young kids... so sitting on the couch, watching a movie with the family, or just hangin around the backyard playin catch or just sitting around b.s.'in - if I would start to nod I would get the "evil eye" from the wife. Not to mention I would feel all tired and shit. Then whatever I would aspire to do throughout the rest of the day, I would feel constantly like I just woke up from an afternoon nap.
So.. like I said.. I just don't get what the appeal is. But.. I know.. to each his own and all that. I just dont get why sooo many people get excited about FALLING ASLEEP! LOL
Yea.. OPI... just dont dose at work. Or if you do, keep the dose as low as you can in order to get the buz. Anything higher and the nod would probably start to creep in on ya. Save the shit for when you get home. You will end up with more to use in the long run and you'll be happier for it!

There Are Two Types Of Nod. There Is The One Where You Feel Good, But Sleepy. When You Nod Out You Basically Fall Asleep. Then There Is The One Where Your Eyes Are Closed, But Totally Aware Of What Is Going On Around You. Your Head Kinda Sweats, You Itch A Little And It Feels Sooooooo Good. Sorry About All Caps. Didn't Realize It Was On.

Ok. I can see your point. Thanks for the info. And now that I think of it.. I have experienced both, I just never put a name on it before coming to this site. And to tell ya the truth.. I really do not enjoy either. But hey.. that's just me. And with all the other people out there who DO enjoy the "nods" I cant say their wrong. Quite the contrary. You guys are all on to somethin' and I am just I guess laggin behind. LOL
Thx again bro!

I would like to submit one more classification of nod if I could "The Waking Nod"
Like the first nod you described only different when the morning houes arrive. Get out of bed itchy, warm, comfortable, spaced out put completely with it. I;ve noticed this Nod when waking up to go to work in the morning. When the last thing you did was blow an eighty at 4 or 5 am then then you lay in bed in the second kind of nod you described. The one in which you dont sleep but you dream. Inbetween land is what I call it. Marijuana makes this place much easier to reach in my experience.
So then you get out of bed alert and ready showering dressing and in a zombie state nod. I've seen friends in this state with me in the morning, girlfriends too, and I can see how an outsider would think of us as zombies but if they only new the beauty.
