I've got some good news. My fentanyl dose is down to 37.5 ug/hr (and I change the patch every two days because the potency sucked on the third day esp with the mylan patches. Mylans are actually OK as long as I'm on q48 hr).

The combination of focalin 2.5 mg bid and remeron 30 mg qd is really helping me.

Current fent patch dose is approx 1/3 how much I was taking at the peak of my dependence. I'm SO happy. I can't say for sure what the future will hold (hell, who can, esp with opiates), but I'm confident I'll be able to come clean from this stretch of addiction.

I only feel slight w/d for a week after each dose drop, and I mean very slight. Just some chills and a touch of anxiety for a few hours, and it's on and off, not continuous. After that week or so I adjust to the new dose and feel perfectly well. That's how I've been ramping things down with the help of my doc. The 12.5 ug/hr drop each month is slow enough not to ruin my antidepressant therapy.

Wanted to let you guys know how I'm doing :)

I won't stop coming here no matter what, because I feel like you guys and girls are my friends. Even when I'm not taking opiates anymore I'll still come and post. I did take a break while I was getting the taper on track, but I'll be coming here more.

Good to hear man... I've been thinking real hard lately about getting clean and my plan is to taper it down. I always plan to taper down but have only really done it a couple times. Usually I end up going CT ...and we all know how much that sucks.

Way to go: one thing I've found out for *sure* about detoxing, is that everybody is different, and that a whole lot depends on your motivation, and what's going on between your ears, than in other people's theories...so best wishes to you, and hang in there with it, as eventually it does get better...
