I know that oxymorphone is a minor metabolite of oxycodone. But I was wondering if I take oxymorphone will it show up on a standard 10 or 11 panel test?
It is not widely prescribed in this area, and I know my clinic does not test for it specifically.

From what I understand, opana only breaks down into oxymorphone metabolites. whereas oxycodone breaks down into both oxycodone and oxymorphone metabolites. So if you take oxymorphone only (opana) and they only test for oxycodone, then you should be safe. However, and this is a big however, some clincs will test just for oxymorphone metabolites as that would cover both oxycodone and oxymorphone metabolites. For example, if someone is on percoet or OC, the test maybe just for oxymorphone as those drugs would show up as would opana.
Tough spot, but I would err on the side of caution and assume that they are testing for oxymorphone metabolites as techincally the clinic would be able to cover more bases for the same amount of investment in their tests.

Well, this is the first time I've ran into Opana in this area (Eastern KY). It was brought in from IL. I haven't ran into anyone around here who knows what it is. And I'm pretty sure the clinic dosen't test for it, as they don't even test for fentanyl.

Just a curiosity. Do you go to one of the "Kentucky Professional Associates" clinics? Like, they have a Lexington Professional Associates, a Morehead PA, a Bowling Green PA, and a few others I think. Since you're in the eastern part of the state, maybe you aren't. I don't know. I just wondered because I used to go to LPA in Lexington. I know they test for oxycodone, but I'm not sure about oxymorphone. I'd just err on the side of caution like the other person said. I've got another question though: how are you able to feel anything on methadone? I never could get high while on that stuff, and I tried many many times.

No I dont a PA clinic. I have guest dosed at them though. The Bowling Green one closed down. Every now and then I will take something to catch a buzz. What I do is: take 1/2 of my usual dose the day before. Then skip my dose the morning I intend to use. Wait until the evening when I begin to get quite ill. Then take like 160-200 mg of oxycodone, or 80mg+ of oxymorphone.
