So the forum seems a little slow lately might as well ask what you

guys think of Joe Biden being picked as Barack Obama's running mate ?

Me ? Not sure . . . . the guy has been in politics for a long time and I don't

like that cuz that means he has been part of the AS USUAL system , you

know Washington as usual, corruption as usual, elitism as usual, lobbyists

as usual. I want change, true change not just tongue wagging change.

Well your turn. :puterwork

they are all part of the "as usual system" baby, all these politicians are the same
obama won't be any less corrupt than the others, shit he's so elitist that he calls folks elitist
he won't win, but pretend for a second that he did:
you think the oil companies and corporations won't get him in their back pocket
as quick as they got bush, as quick as they'll get mccain?
if you think mr popularity is too "for the people" to sell out you're more naive than... me

interesting view Shelley. Not too far off base at all i guess.

Biden would be Obama's Karl Rove. but i dont know that for sure.. I can't even argue because McCain's voting history i don't like either. but at least he voted yeah or nay. versus fuckin Obama who would just vote "present"
what a virgin.

are you talking about that "when does life begin" thing?
mccain said his opinion, he knew that ATLEAST half the country would hate him for it but oh well
obama is scared to lose voters! screw that asshole!

A Washington virgin is just what I want. Someone who isn't already in all

the corrupt old boy clubs. If you have to look to find something about

Obama you don't like, then your looking to hard. McCain, I don't have to

look, I know everything he stands for and hate ALL of it. But one thing

I can tell from this tread is that Biden was a bad choice. Nobody's getting

excited about having him around. If he had picked Hilary it would have been

a slam dunk.:jumping-s

If you have to look to find something about

Obama you don't like, then your looking to hard.

you hafta look hard to find ANYTHING about obama
because he is too scared to state his opinion on anything!!!

i don't like that he waffles because he's afraid to lose voters
i don't like that he has no experience and doesn't seem to know what his own people are doing
i don't like his plan to create socialized medicine
i don't like his pandering to minorities and "the poor" when he was raised white and rich
i don't like that anyone who dares make fun of him is called racist and/or intolerant
i don't like anything about that motherfucker

i don't like too much about mccain either
but he at least states where he stands and doesn't care whose vote he loses, he knows he's got this election!
also he takes criticism in stride, hell he's running for president of course some won't like him
obama hasn't learned that lesson, that with popularity comes hate
he still gets his panties up in a bunch when he gets bad press
which doesn't happen often because everyone is too scared to be called racist!

you know what's gonna swing this vote towards mccain?
i GUARANTEE that there are people who "support" obama
because he is "progressive" and "a minority" and he is "for change" and all that horseshit
basically, they PUBLICALLY support him because if they don't they will be called racist and intolerant
and when they are done talking about how "it's their turn" (i swear i heard a white lady say that!!!!!)
they will cover up their "vote for obama" shirts, enter the voting booth, vote republican,
and come out saying "that's one more vote for obama, god i hope he wins!!"
not all of them of course, but these people do exist, in bigger numbers than anyoen thinks
thank christ for the secret ballot!!

I know your preg. and on the wagon but I'm not. But if McCain wins we

probably ALL will be if we want to be or not. His drug policy is INSANE.

I like pandering to the poor, I'm poor. I like socialized medicine I can't

afford it like it is now. McCain doesn't care if he looses votes ? Bull shit.

I don't love either one either, it's another BAD or WORSE year but in my

situation McCain is WORSE.

i agree on the "bad or worse year" thing
you don't understand what i mean by "pandering to the poor"
that doesn't mean he gives a damn, that just means he pretends
look, obama (as well as mccain) doesn't know the meaning of the word "poor"
he might have looked it up in the dictionary, but maybe you know what i'm talking about:

when you have to choose between rent and food
when getting a free checking account is beyond you
when you are forced to sleep outside, even just for a few nights, worse for months
when you have to steal diapers cause you can't afford the sons of bitches
THEN you can talk about being poor
until then, all obama and other politicians are doing are just flapping their jaws

obama isn't unique in his hypocrisy, mccain is also a hypocrite
in fact, the two of them aren't that different except that mccains old ass
actually has some experience both in politics and in life
obama still can't get over the fact that some people don't like him, poor baby!

oh, and his drug policy won't change anything
all the good shit will still be illegal, scripts will still be hard to come by
and let's say obama is elected president? guess what will happen?
all the good shit will still be illegal, scripts will still be hard to come by
i guaran-fucking-tee it

Ron Paul still has something going on, he just had a big ho ha in Minn.

somewhere, but I cant get into it because he talks about restructuring

the Republican party and I'll never be a Republican . . . Or Democrat for

that matter.

McCain's most recent advert. says he'll BATTLE big oil.

Can't you see him now "battleing" big oil?

How can you battle something when your in their pocket?

As an Intern for the Obama campaign and Team Captain - I got the inside scoop on Biden.

First, he's too appeal to all the people who voted for Hillary. He's stressing that he's the POOREST senator in the Senate. He's been in the Senate since Nixon. (36 years)

Biden will be Obama's attach dog. Biden Bites, so to speak.

He'll be the one attacking, while Obama takes the high road.

Also, this will help us win Penn, and Michigan. PLUS help us in Ohio. Because the saying goes, (and it's been true since Ohio was made a state) So goes Ohio, so goes the nation.

McCain will more than likely pick someone from a swing state (Maybe even Florida, if he's smart -- that would just kill us in FL if he did that)

But, Obama chose his because he's Chairmen of Foreign Relations ---

3rd longest Senator serving.

He's near important swing states, so he'll help.

Also, him and Barack opposed a view bills (they voted against each other)

I think he brought him to balance out the "change" and to show that he's got his Right hand man as an experienced leader who is Chairman of Foreign Relations -- that is important.

Anything less than Hillary being President will continue to keep them pissed off; I truly believe that. So no pleasing them.

From what I read about Joe Biden he does come from some pretty humble roots, he lost his first wife and daughter in a terrible accident (prob already been covered, didn't read the whole thread) and raised his remaining kids by himself, never moved to Washington. Went home each night on the train. He is remarried now.

As an example of a US senator who has NOT been corrupted by money and power look at Russ Feingold D-Wisconsin. I believe that whole-heartedly because he lives in my neighborhood and I know him pretty well.

He is the poorest senator on record. Once, they didnt have enough money to fix the dishwasher! He has refused all raises (turned them into the US treasury I think) since he's been in the senate, almost sixteen years. So there are SOME exceptions. Very few, I admit.

I don't pretend to know if Biden is one of them who has not been totally bought and sold, but we cannot have another four years of the Republicans. We simply cannot. They flat out LIED to us about the war in Iraq and now theres a new generation of American-haters.

And let's face it we still have a two party system as much as we'd like Ron Paul (although his position on abortion I could never stomach) or someone else, Oback Barama and Joe Biden still give us a better shot than McCain does.

PS I have to get off this thread or I'll drive myself crazy. bye bye.....
